The President of the Philippines is a "Hope". This is based on my view about our beloved President Rodrigo Duterte. When he ran for President, I was happy and I hope he wins. He appeared to be so different from the typical politician that he not only promised a change of word, but he came with the intention of changing things. As a Filipino, I have never felt more sincere and nationalist president like Mayor Duterte. He certainly cares about the poor, the environment, and the Filipino culture. Moreover, he has a strong desire to fight against crime, corruption, and illegal drugs. He is far different from other previous presidents the Philippines has. Although he has mistakes and his own weaknesses, the leadership of the presidents and strong support from the military and other countries (re-establishing friendship with China) makes him a better strategist than other previous presidents. Other than that, as a Mindanao native, without him being president, we would not have the same attention as we do today. We are often left behind by the imperial Manila and Luzon, which share more government developments and services. He who is a president, filled us with the map of the Philippines. Masking many potential resources, tourism, industry, and placement of infrastructure projects (roads and bridges).
