My cooking experience My cooking experience has been a worst thing as a female child. Whenever my mum is in the kitchen that's when I have one thing or the other to do for myself so that’s an automatic excuse to be in the kitchen. Cooking was very tough for me back then but cooking has always been my dream. I don't know how you will love to cook in your imaginations and you can't cook It happened when my mum and dad were not around that was like 2009. My mum is someone that likes trying or challenging someone so she put a call through the telecom(the general telephone) She said in the next 35mins we will be home and you know what.... I and your father are famished. All you need to do is to make any swallow food of your choice for us then the ended the call. I was in a dilemma, at first I cant prepare any food of my choice. I went and came out of the kitchen like 8times thinking of the first thing to do….in my mind I chose AMALA. I shouldn’t have choosen any food, I should have just rested my head. I ran into the kitchen, lighted the gas, placed some water in the pot. I couldn’t leave the kitchen I sat in the kitchen till the water boiled. I opened the lid and said some prayers. God please I wouldn’t want to dissapoint my parents because they are very hungry right now I wouldn’t want my mum to come into this kitchen to cook again after all the stress. The water was still boiling, poured in some Yam flour(elubo) into the water, it started popping out hot water on my hand, ehhh God give me strength to continue stiring this thing so it can come out well. I couldn’t turn it well on fire I brought down the Amala so I could turn it well after multiple turns I almost fainted my hands were aching badly and placed it on fire again. I had to stay with it because my dad hates burnt foods while my mum hates unwell cooked foods so I have to treat both condition. This time the kitchen had turned upside down while the stool was already on the cabint, the broom on the sink, bowls on the floor, some Yam flour ( elubo) on the floor, spilled water on the floor …….. I heard the horn at the gate, I ran to open the gate….i didn’t greet them I ran back inside the kitchen to finish the mess I've caused. They alighted from the car as my mum was coming to the kitchen I ran to meet her, collected the loads from her, greeted her and diverted her way to her room to freshen up so she can enjoy the delicious meal I had made. They came out of the room so tired and I served their food hot. I was happy and making mouth that they are about to eat the best food ever. You wont believe I made the worst food ever. When the opened their food to eat I noticed my mum was struggling with the hard-sticky Amala while my dad was removing lots of lump from it. They took just 2 swallows. My mum thanked me, and just took the food to the kitchen, went to her room brought out some cereal with milk for herself and her husband. Then went to bed quietly. I was so ashamed of myself. I didn't mean to make the food bad I said to myself. I tried my best. I remembered when I was in my first year in the university. As my mum was packing my food stuff I was just disturbing her to buy me Melon(egusi) to make soup. She went to the market to get the Melon as they were taking me to the park. I loved the way my mum made hers on a beautiful Sunday like that. Came back from lecture on a Friday and decided to make the melon soup. The only thing I could remember was how I lamented that day about the soup. The only person that could comfort me was my mum when I called to tell her my egusi soup was looking like a fool(didirin). She told me the next time I would be coming home I should bring back her melon……. But now I can boastfully say I'm the best cook in my family. Anytime I prepare food for my Dad now he can't spoil but to hail me for making delicious meals. My little brother just reminded that I'm the best cook in the whole world right now😊😊😊 Thanks for reading!!! All images from Unsplash

Do clothes make a man? Would a frenzy people become cool, after he wears a lab white cloth? Would a child become mature, after he dresses a tie? And would a prisoner become a hero, after he takes off his prisoner's suit? At this point, I consider that the crucial factor of a person's behavior is not relied on what he (she) is wearing. Instead, the character of a person determines which type of people he (she) belongs to. Firstly, although clothes play an important role in people's daily life, they are not the determining factor of their characters. As we can see, the appreciation of one's personality largely depends on his (her) behaviors, including the way he (she) talks, and the way he (she) does things. After all, the primary function of clothes is to keep us warm, and to prevent us from being naked like animals. As a proverb goes, "A beggar would not be someone; even if he wears a gold hat." Secondly, as far as clothing is concerned, there are many people wearing the same clothes, but they can behave differently. Take uniforms for example, we could not deny that some doctors are impatient when they treat their patients, while others are very nice. Some soldiers are nice to their prisoners, while others treat their prisoners badly or even abuse them. So it is quite wrong to conclude that all policemen are helpful, and all government officials are trustworthy, only because they wear the government uniforms. After all, the uniforms are only used to distinguish one job from another. I do strongly support the statement that people behave differently when they wear different clothes. In other words, different clothes influence the way people behave. Some small examples may give some light to the point. I usually find that those who wear suits and tie behave invariably the same in general. They probably look self-confident, genteel and intelligent, although most of them do not really have these characteristics. So, what I want to emphasize here is that clothes work as a symbol today and people wear them would act like what the clothes impersonate without being aware of it. We all have the experience that when we wear a T-shirt and jeans we feel vigorous and act like a 16-yaer-old boy. On the other hand, we tend to wear clothes that are appropriate for the environment. When people go for a job interview, men will usually wear nice suits and tie, while women will usually wear fine lady's garments. Because people understand that "clothes make a man", and nice clothes can increase their chances of getting that job. To take this idea further, with the help of different clothes, we can behave a way that is different from what we usual look like. For example, when a serious person who has a frustrating job takes a picnic outdoors, he will dress casually in order to remind himself that he needs to relax for this occasion. Another interesting example is that we can sometimes see from movies that a serious woman who has a formal job in an office wearing a sexy underwear and dance like a stripper at night in order to seduce her husband. So, as we can see, people really behave differently when they wear different clothes. So why not slip into casual clothes and give yourself a break right now?

How my 4 hours would go I was wistful when I found that I had just 4hours to live on Earth after battling with sickle cell for the past 23years of my life that always gat me in serious pains in my legs, arms and chronic chest pain. I knew it was going to end someday because I've always heard sickle cell patients would definitely die early so I was prepared for this. It's was just 6:00am when this sudden crisis came upon me that hooked my legs with unbearable pains. My shout from the extreme pain woke my friend, she hurriedly dressed up and put a call through to the ambulance. I was rushed to my usual hospital. I was injected with pain reliever but it was like the pain was increasing. They conducted tests and scans where the blood percentage read 12% and legs were paralyzed too with partial stroke. Normal blood percentage reads 35-45%. My friend was already wailing outside when she heard the limited time given. She was dejected. She doesn't know the next thing to do. I called her through the window she was trying to clean up her tears so she can look good. I told her to help me with a favor by going to our room to pick up my phone that I have some vital information to give to my family. Took her 40mins to return I managed to pick up my phone, dialed my sister's number. She's expecting her first child and her expecting due date is here already so I won't get to see my sister's baby😔. She missed her call at first then she picked; Good morning Niffy, how are you doing? How's your husband and how's your baby kicking? I was like when will you born what you want to born and I tried my best waiting to see your baby o...chaiii she laughed and said I'm even tired of the whole thing. As for me and my husband we are very much prepared. I'm ready to push. My husband even swept and prepared the house to welcome the baby but I didn't fall into labour. I told her when the baby comes out she should name the baby after one of my names. Fuuny you how will her baby bear my name she said. She asked about my business. I told her I got new designs and materials for my bag business and it's moving so fast. She was really happy to hear that. I have to go small Mummy...... later. The call was taking too long.....35mins gone ahhh. Quickly called my Elder brother I call him my Dearest; Hello Bro, how are you? He said he just finished a lecture. I told him I haven't seen his call for the past 4days now so I said I should check on you. The next he would say is I'm broke I was thinking in my mind. He said My surest sister, my rich sister howfar I don't have any money with me infact I have not eaten. Send me some money ...we both laugh and I said I was already waiting for that. I will send you money keep calm. He asked about my health I told him I've had no crisis lately that I'm very fine. I swiftly chipped in that ahhh as we are family we shouldn't be keeping secrets or our password I told him let me tell you my password to my details(32311)...you ought to know Bro. He laughed and said he would be expecting the money. We ended the call that took 35mins. Without delay I logged into my Bank app to transfer all the money in my account to my brother since our parents died he has been the head of the house obviously ...his account number as been saved to beneficiary list. I just clicked on it ...ooops couldn't send it immediately. Network was messing with my patience. Took it 10minutes for the network to cooperate with me. The pain became more aggressive but I wasn't giving attention to that I was just living my life. Engaged a call with the love of my life; His first statement was I miss you so much babe. I'm studying here to give us a future we've planned for. I'm all yours Babe. I was just blushing I told him I miss you more Babe, it's been months now I've not seen you cuz of the distance. He told about his supervisor and his lecture so far with the undergraduates. He said work isn't funny...things are getting tedious for him in the USA. I encouraged him and prayed for him. I jokingly said Babe get yourself another Babe over there that can rub your head with her soft hands after a stressful day....he laughed and said if I bite you.....I ended the call unexpectedly and offed my phone. 1hour gone Since I'm a foodie. I gave my friend some cool cash to get me a Brown cake, chicken, chips with Pulpy Orange in the town. She took the money and ran so fast like Sonic🤣 while I was waiting i was reading my Bible and praying for forgiveness. I was just reading Psalms and enjoying the passages. 30mins later she returned sweating. I thanked her for all her effort, we ate together but she couldn't eat. I kept on tearing the food in front of me with painssss. After my food....laid on the bed and went into deep sleep. Rested in Peace The end!!! Thank you for reading!!! Thanks to @FashTioluwa for his motivation on this topic. I couldn't believe I could make an imaginary story out of the topic. I love his own side of the story. I hope this is enticing like his. Why is music important to many people? Obviously music has inspired a seemingly endless stream of fantastic productions such as CD, MTV, broadcasting, concerts and so on, which we just cannot live without. Today music is not just something for fun at all. It springs out general human feelings, needs and desires at every level. Music can brings us information about cultures, history, science, and religion all over the world. It is like the vase that can collect every little dew in every corner in the world and then pure it to irrigate people's hearts and allow people to understand each other better regardless of different languages, ages, and races. Music provides an opportunity to reduce stress and help us walk fearlessly towards difficulties. "Never give up never give in. There can be miracles when you believe through hope is fragile it is hard to kill." In this rush world it is inevitably that we sometimes feel so tired and frustrated and even are going to lose our hope. When our favorite tunes start playing filled with magic and power, they are like the catalyst to refresh our heart and to enable us to think on the right track In stead of beaten by adversities, we can feel so optimistic that we will continue being the truth seekers and rule our domain whatever how hard it is. Answered without hesitation, music is an exploration of our deepest feelings and motivations and one of the greatest of human treasure. Not only is it hard to measure how much those musicians' masterpieces bring into our society but also it is also difficult to imagine how long they will continue to influence us. In conclusion, as music can function as the roll to bring the world peace and beauty, and bring people happiness and enjoyment, it is self-evident that music is so important to us. English literature is full of references of music. Literatures of different eras reflect the likes, dislikes and nature of people belonging to that era. If you read music-related phrases or poems of any era, you will find that these phrases or poems reflect the same reasons people listened to music years back, as they do today. Music is, and has always been a part of mankind. Walk into any IT company today, and you will see people working with their headphones on. Stroll into the reception of any Multinational company, you will be greeted with a pleasant music playing at a low volume from the speakers. Most people say that music helps them work better and creates a relaxing ambience. Any great occasion is incomplete without music. Be it Valentine's Day, friendship day, someone's birthday, or a party. On Valentine's Day, love songs hit the top charts; special cassettes are complied as valentine day's specials. On parties and birthdays, people like to celebrate with loud music. Can you imagine any type of dance without music? Dance steps are created according to the rhythm and beats of different types of music. Operas, plays and musicals all revolve around music. While watching different dance forms and musicals, you also enjoy the music that is a part of it. You will find that music is your best companion. If you are feeling low, there will be peppy songs to cheer you. If you are in a philosophical mood there will be different types of music to add to your reflective mood. Different people have different preferences towards music during different moods. There is an endless variety of music available - instrumental, blues, jazz, rock, pop, reggae and lots more. Every type of music has a different impact on people. Some people prefer to begin their day with soft instrumental music. Some prefer hard rock playing in their cars as they drive to work. Different people like to end their day listening to different types of music. So, music is an inherent part of human life. Even nature has it's own music. Bird's chirping in the morning, water gushing down rivers, and breeze blowing through trees are all a part of nature's own music. Life without music would be still and meaningless. That's the reason people listen to music for different reasons and at different times. Thank you for reading!!!

Face-to-face communication vs emails or phone calls Many people hold the view that face-to-face communication is better than other types of communication, such as letters, e-mail, or telephone calls. As far as I am concerned, I do not agree with that view. There are many reasons that support my point of view, and I would explore a few of the most important ones here. The main reason is that people live and work with a fast pace nowadays. They are busy with everything. However, they also need to communicate with their friends or relatives. The result is that they have no time to set an appointment. This situation is very common. The best solution is to communicate by letters, e-mails or telephone calls. We could write letters or e-mails in our leisure time and send them out immediately or call somebody and talk for a few minutes. These things would not take up a long time and can be scheduled quite easily. Another reason is that it is too time and money-consuming for two friends that live far away from each other to schedule a face-to-face meeting. In this situation, using letters, e-mail or telephone calls will be a better way. People by this means could communicate with each other conveniently no matter how far they apart. Take one of my friends for example, he communicates with one of his friend in Cyprus by using emails. Furthermore, I believe that sometimes people will find it difficult to communicate face-to-face. They need to talk about something that is hard for them to confronting each other. At this time, letters, e-mail or telephone calls are better ways of interaction. Since the beginning of time the most important method of communication has been the face-to-face communication. In fact for a long time, face-to-face communication was the only method used. As time progressed new methods came along with the use of letters, telephone calls, and emails. Even with these improvements in communication, nothing has been able to replace the face-to-face method. One reason that face-to-face communication is better than newer methods is that it allows one person to see the facial expressions of another. When a person is talking about good news they usually smile and their eyes light up. Or when a person is having a serious conversation, their eyebrows are usually lower and they keep a straight face on while talking. Without these facial expressions it can be tricky to figure out a person's meaning behind what he says. Another reason why face-to-face communication is important is that you can tell whether the person is telling the truth or not. When people communicate over the phone or through an email it is impossible to tell when a person is lying. But when it comes to personal communication it is not as easy to get away with a lie. Many people in business prefer this face-to-face method because it helps them to figure out if the person speaking is honest enough to go into business with. When it comes to face-to-face communication there is one more reason why it is better than other methods of communication. When a person is expressing feelings of love or sympathy, no other method of communication will express them perfectly. When a person is showing his/her love for someone, he/she must do it face-to-face so that the other party can see how much he/she mean what he/she says. Also when it comes to expressing sympathy for someone, using any other types of communication is just not enough. By calling someone or emailing him/her to express sympathy, it just shows that you do not have the time or care enough to go over and say it in person. Face-to-face communication will always be better than other types of communication. But while face-to-face communication is better, newer methods cannot be ignored. These methods have helped to carry communication over through long distances around the world; thereby expanding the world we live in and bring everyone closer together. Through the use of letters, telephone calls and emails, a person living in New York can now communicate with his/her loved one as far away as South Africa. Thank you for reading!!!

Do you prefer to eat at home or eat out? Nowadays, some people like to eat at home and prepare food by themselves, but others prefer to eat out side in restaurants or at food stands. As far as I am concerned, I prefer to eat at home because I get to serve myself enough and in abundance that my bowl or plate won't be able to contain the portion of my food. Of course there are some advantages to eat out. Firstly, restaurants offer a more comfortable environment to eat and the food there tastes more delicious than home-cooked meals. Then the well designed and decorated environment you will get to snap beautiful pictures for your gallery😊😊 In addition, eating at restaurants is a good way of getting together with friends. People also do not need to worry about washing dishes and cleaning. For people who are too busy to cook, eating out is certainly an ideal choice. Furthermore, for people do not know how to cook and do not have some one to cook for them, eat out seems to be the only choice or look for a cook. Eating at restaurants demands lots of manners and forming. You have to eat gently and calmly because people are watching and you just have to behave like a normal human being. However, I prefer to cook and eat at home. The main reason is that at home, family members can prepare their meals and enjoying their food together, which can enhance their relationships. And also you would be able to add various spices in the quantity you want, it might be adding lots of crayfish, ginger, tumeric, curry, bayleaves, and lots more to your food. Family members can talk, make jokes and exchange feelings on current affairs with each other while preparing a meal. Parents have a chance to communicate with their kids and keep track of what they are thinking and doing; while children can learn to help with some household tasks and develop intimacy with their parents. Imagine that you and your brothers and sisters help your mother to cook on a weekend, and enjoy the food later on, and you feel everything is so nice. Another reason is that eating at home can save money. The same amount of money that you spend on a meal in a restaurant can buy a lot more foods from a supermarket or main market. You can use the money saved to buy a new cloth, or attend a concert. The most annoying part is that the quantity of food they sell for you won't satisfy you. As for me eating out makes me more hungry because the food they sell won't be enough for a baby not to talk of an adult then the taste is always delicious so you will long for more. I can remember the day I ate this food I lost my manners, I used my hands to eat this food and licked my fingers . Infact I pulled off my cloth because there was heat I really enjoyed it. P.s I love food. If it was to be a restaurant I won't get this quantity of food for the amount I will be having and then I won't be able to enjoy my food to satisfaction Left for me, I don't buy the idea of eating out because I often get sick after eating out I don't know maybe because I'm not use to doing that or I'm always scared of the Maggi(seasoning) they use that is so harmful to the body system. It has this sharp taste. I saw a canteen few days ago, I wanted to throw up already. The place was nothing to write home about, it was all black, dirty and disorganized with different colours of cockroaches and flies. I'm not sure I can ever eat in such a place even if they dash me the food. And alot of people were buying and eating there without minding the way the place is. There are different kinds of people anyways. General speaking, eating out side is comfortable and convenient, but eating at home has more benefits. I prefer to eat at home. I get to eat whatever I want, choose whether to take one or two meats or chicken or decide not to use anything to eat my meal. I know how it is prepared and I'm rest assured that I'm eating safe Do you prefer to eat at home or eat at home? Thank you for reading!!! 😊😊😊

Book of Esther 2 **So this is the continuation of the book of Esther.** **Stopped at where Esther and Mordecai were communicating through the messenger about Esther going to the King to plead concerning the Jews so they don't get destroyed from Haman's plan.** **As for me I tag Haman as "Mr. Wicked" and the King as someone that takes whether wrong or right advises immediately. The King cannot think to save his life all by himself. It has disadvantages and advantages.** Mordecai sent her this message: "Don't think because you live in the king's house you're the out of the killing shit.  Esther sent back her answer to Mordecai: Go and get all the Jews living in Susa together. Fast for me. I and my maids will fast with you. If you will do this, I'll go to the king, even though it's forbidden. If I die, I die." Three days later Esther dressed in her royal robes and decided to meet with the King. When he noticed Queen Esther standing in the court, he was pleased to see her. The king asked, "And what's your desire, Queen Esther? What do you want? Ask and it's yours—even if it's half my kingdom!" **Whattttt she was marvelously favoured for the King to say what do you want Queen Esther** "If it please the king," said Esther, "let the king come with Haman to a dinner I've prepared for him." So the king and Haman joined Esther at the dinner she had arranged. As they were drinking the wine, the king said, "Now, what is it you want? Half of my kingdom isn't too much to ask! Just ask." Esther answered, "Here's what I want. If the king favors me let the king and Haman come again tomorrow to the dinner. Then I'll give a straight answer to the king's question."  Haman left the palace that day happy, and then he saw Mordecai sitting at the King's Gate ignoring him. Haman was furious with Mordecai. **I don't know what was making the foolish man happy o.... mtchewww** But he held himself in and went on home. He got his friends together with his wife Zeresh and started bragging that Queen Esther invited him to a private dinner with the king. But I can't enjoy any of it when I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the King's Gate. Why so much hatred?? We need to be careful of ourselves. His wife Zeresh and all his friends said, Build a gallows 65 feet high. First thing in the morning speak with the king; get him to order Mordecai hanged on it. Then happily go with the king to dinner." Haman liked that. He had the gallows built. We should mind what advises we take. Just see the evil plot Haman had for Mordecai specially but something happened about this plan. That night the king couldn't sleep. He ordered the record book, the day-by-day journal of events, to be brought and read to him. They came across the story there about the time that Mordecai had exposed the plot of the two royal eunuchs who guarded the entrance and who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes. The king asked, "What great honor was given to Mordecai for this?" "Nothing," replied the king's servants who were in attendance. The king said, "Is there anybody out in the court?" Now Haman had just come into the outer court of the king's palace to talk to the king about hanging Mordecai on the gallows he had built for him. Assuming he was able to say out his plan to the King he would have just approved the offer because I don't understand if that King has sense on his own🤣 he will just approve and sign whatever decision they bring to him  The king's servants said, "Haman is out there. Bring him in, said the king. When Haman entered, the king said, "What would be appropriate for the man the king especially wants to honor?" Haman thought to himself, "He must be talking about honoring me—who else?" What audacity and pride Haman has....that who else would the King honor if not him. So he answered the king, "For the man the king delights to honor, do this:  Bring a royal robe that the king has worn and a horse the king has ridden, one with a royal crown on its head. Then give the robe and the horse to one of the king's most noble princes. Have him robe the man whom the king especially wants to honor; have the prince lead him on horseback through the city square, proclaiming before him, 'This is what is done for the man whom the king especially wants to honor!' " "Go and do it," the king said to Haman. "Don't waste another minute. Do what you have proposed to Mordecai the Jew who sits at the King's Gate. Don't leave out a single detail of your plan." I couldn't believe my eyes seeing this verse...I was amazed by the King's decision this time... it's so Perfect and accurate. This is so much humiliation for Haman for Mordecai to be exalted this way.  So Haman took the robe and horse; he robed Mordecai and led him through the city square, proclaiming before him, "This is what is done for the man whom the king especially wants to honor!"  Then Mordecai returned to the King's Gate, but Haman fled to his house hiding his face.  At this second dinner, while they were drinking wine the king again asked, "Queen Esther, what would you like?  Queen Esther answered, "If I have found favor in your eyes, O King, and if it please the king, give me my life, and give my people their lives. "We've been sold, I and my people to be destroyed  King Xerxes exploded, "Who? Where is he? This is monstrous!"  "An enemy. An adversary. This evil Haman," said Esther. Haman was terror-stricken before the king and queen.  The king, raging, left his wine and stalked out into the palace garden. Haman stood there pleading with Queen Esther for his life—he could see that the king was finished with him and that he was doomed. As the king came back from the palace garden into the banquet hall, Haman was groveling at the couch on which Esther reclined. The king roared out, "Will he even molest the queen while I'm just around the corner?" When that word left the king's mouth, all the blood drained from Haman's face.  Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, spoke up: "Look over there! There's the gallows that Haman had built for Mordecai, who saved the king's life. The king said, "Hang him on it!"  So Haman was hanged on the very gallows that he had built for Mordecai. And the king's hot anger cooled. And Mordecai came before the king because Esther had explained their relationship. The king took off his signet ring, which he had taken back from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai.  Then Esther again spoke to the king, falling at his feet and said if it please the king and he regards me with favor and thinks this is right, and if he has any affection for me at all, let an order be written that cancels the bulletins authorizing the plan of Haman in all the king's provinces. King Xerxes said to Queen Esther and Mordecai the Jew: "I've given Haman's estate to Esther and he's been hanged on the gallows because he attacked the Jews.  So go ahead now and write whatever you decide on behalf of the Jews; then seal it with the signet ring." (An order written in the king's name and sealed with his signet ring is irrevocable.) Wow what an interesting story. The best part of this story to me was just how Haman's evil plot was turned on himself. He used his own hands to kill himself because of hatred for your fellow human. Mordecai was honored while Haman was executed rightly. Then I learnt again if not because Mordecai persisted in Esther meeting with the King about the Jews they would have been ruined. Esther prayed and fasted for three days together with her people. I think that was why she found favor with the King when she went to the King without being invited. `Who else enjoyed the storyline??` Thank you for reading!!! Bible can be interesting

Book of Esther👸1 I just got to learn more on the book of Esther lately and it felt like I've not read it before and I will be like to share my knowledge with others. This is the story of something that happened in the time of Xerxes. King Xerxes ruled from his royal throne in the palace. In the third year of his reign he gave a banquet for all his officials, ministers along with the princes and governors of the provinces. At the conclusion of the exhibit, the king threw a weeklong party for everyone living in Susa. The party was in the garden courtyard of the king's summer house. The guests could drink as much as they liked—king's orders!—with waiters at their elbows to refill the drinks.  Meanwhile, Queen Vashti was throwing a separate party for women inside King Xerxes' royal palace. Mind you Queen Vashiti is the wife of the King.  On the seventh day of the party, the king, high on the wine, ordered the seven eunuchs who were his personal servants to bring him Queen Vashti resplendent in her royal crown. He wanted to show off her beauty to the guests and officials. But Queen Vashti refused to come, refused the summons delivered by the eunuchs. The king lost his temper. Seething with anger over her insolence, the king called in his counselors, all experts in legal matters. It was the king's practice to consult his expert advisors. The council of the king and princes spoke: "It's not only the king Queen Vashti has insulted, it's all of us, leaders and people alike in every last one of King Xerxes' provinces. 'Did you hear the latest about Queen Vashti? King Xerxes ordered her to be brought before him and she wouldn't do it!' When the women hear it, they'll start treating their husbands with contempt.  "So, if the king agrees, that Vashti is permanently banned from King Xerxes' presence. And then let the king give her royal position to a woman who knows her place.  The king and the princes liked this. The king did what was proposed. He sent bulletins to every part of the kingdom, to each province in its own script, to each people in their own language: "Every man is master of his own house; whatever he says, goes." Later, when King Xerxes' anger had cooled and he was having second thoughts about what Vashti had done and what he had ordered against her, the king's young attendants stepped in and got the ball rolling: "Let's begin a search for beautiful young virgins for the king. ***To me the King acted like a baby, he didn't even know the reason why his wife refused to go to him. Maybe she wasn't feeling too well...he just took the rash decision to ban her out of his kingdom. Just like that ....they want to find the king a new and beautiful wife just immediately Asif they were expecting Queen Vashti's disobedience before.*** Let the king appoint officials in every province of his kingdom to bring every beautiful young virgin to the palace the king's eunuch who oversees the women; he will put them through their beauty treatments Then let the girl who best pleases the king be made queen in place of Vashti." The king liked this advice and took it.  Now there was a Jew who lived in the palace complex in Susa. His name was Mordecai, he had reared his cousin Hadassah, otherwise known as Esther, since she had no father or mother. The girl had a good figure and a beautiful face. After her parents died, Mordecai had adopted her. When the king's order had been publicly posted, many young girls were brought to the palace complex of Susa. Hegai ( was in charge of the contest) liked Esther and took a special interest in her. Right off he started her beauty treatments, ordered special food for her. ***I said it before that the King behaves like a baby ...every advise that was brought to he would just accept without having to think it through all by himself. He's quick in making decisions and couldn't say no to irrational suggestions.*** King Xerxes promoted Haman making him the highest-ranking official in the government. All the king's servants at the King's Gate used to honor him by bowing down and kneeling before Haman—that's what the king had commanded. Except Mordecai. Mordecai wouldn't do it, wouldn't bow down and kneel. The king's servants at the King's Gate asked Mordecai about it: "Why do you cross the king's command?" Mordecai had told them that he was a Jew. When Haman saw for himself that Mordecai didn't bow down and kneel before him, he was outraged. Meanwhile, having learned that Mordecai was a Jew, Haman hated to waste his fury on just one Jew; he looked for a way to eliminate not just Mordecai but all Jews throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes.  Haman then spoke with King Xerxes: "There is an odd set of people scattered through the provinces of your kingdom who don't fit in. Their customs and ways are different from those of everybody else. Worse, they disregard the king's laws. They're an affront; the king shouldn't put up with them.  If it please the king, let orders be given that they be destroyed. The king slipped his signet ring from his hand and gave it to Haman.  "Go ahead," the king said to Haman "do whatever you want with those people." Imagine this king o....Haman knew the King does not have the sense to reject suggestions. The king just accepted his offer to destroy all the Jews. When Mordecai learned what had been done, he ripped his clothes to shreds and put on sackcloth and ashes. Then he went out in the streets of the city crying out in loud and bitter cries.  He came only as far as the King's Gate, for no one dressed in sackcloth was allowed to enter the King's Gate.  As the king's order was posted in every province, there was loud lament among the Jews—fasting, weeping, wailing. And most of them stretched out on sackcloth and ashes. Esther's maids and eunuchs came and told her. The queen was stunned. She sent fresh clothes to Mordecai so he could take off his sackcloth but he wouldn't accept them.  Mordecai also gave him a copy of the bulletin that had been posted in Susa ordering the massacre so he could show it to Esther when he reported back with instructions to go to the king and intercede and plead with him for her people. Meanwhile even the Queen Esther is a Jew. I don't even think the King knew his wife is also part of the people Haman wanted to kill. Esther sent her messenger to Mordecai to know what was happening exactly. Mordecai explained everything to the messenger. Then Esther sent to Mordecai that everyone who works for the King can't approach the king without being invited and it's being 30 days since she last visited the King. `What's your view about this King Xerxes?` To be continued!!! This is a story that interests me in the Bible. Thank you for reading!!! Watch out for part 2😊😊😊

The hustle is real It's a new month. We need to start it with prayers and expections for the new month. We went to church around 6am for the start the month with Jesus. We already knew we won't wake up early for the program because myself, my sister and my cousin were just on our phones exploring lots of funny things and having hot gists with ourselves, as a result of that we slept around 2am and we were to wake up 6am. To avoid lateness I decided to set an alarm to wake up 5:30am so as to prepare for church but unfortunately I didn't hear the alarm ring🤣 cuz we were fast asleep. It was my Dad that later came to wake us up. After church we came back home around 7:30am so I prepared breakfast while my cousin did the house cores. I prepared pap and plantain, served my Dad in his room. There was no electricity throughout the day. We slept immediately after breakfast. Then a visitor came to break our nap. My Dad attended to the visitor while I went to my work room to make some creative bags. I made some patterns of bags then cut out the materials unfortunately I had no wool to sew the bag. My cousin came to meet me and was like what are we going to have for lunch I told her I had no idea. I continued my activity then the visitor informed she was leaving, the visitor gave me #3,000. My cousin came again that she suggests we make rice and beans with palmoil with lots of onions and locust beans(Yummy). My cousin loves food and sleep, she can sleep on waters and can eat a whole lot of food together with the pot🙄. In my head as she was saying it I was already imagining myself on the floor devouring the food. My Dad already went outing. I jumped from my bed with full force to look for charcoal and locust beans. We started looking for where they sell locust beans in the area because the main market is very far to the house. We saw a small shop where they sell foodstuffs. We couldn't imagine they them selling locust beans there so I asked if they had Locust beans then the seller said Yes....my cousin hugged me so tightly and was very happy. The seller was confused because of our happiness. We hurriedly went back home, on getting to the house we remembered we didn't buy charcoal to cook🤣. We went out again hunting for charcoal, finally we got to a place they sell charcoal. And I like to buy things in bulk so that it can serve us for a long period to avoid stress so I told the seller to sell #2,000 charcoal cuz she said a bag is #3,000. Things are now getting very expensive in the country I pray God intervenes quickly. The seller started dividing #2,000 charcoal for us, we didn't go with our sack so she can pour in the charcoal for us so she said we would leave a deposit so that we won't run away with her sack. We collected the half bag of charcoal we struggled to carry it home by passing through short cuts to the house. At last we climbed fence together with the charcoal and we were looking like charcoal itself. We were looking so black and dirty. All because of Rice and beans we suffered this much...it was already looking like I have malaria because I was so famished and shaking. I got the shock of my life when we got home I met a full bag of charcoal at the boat that my Dad had already gotten from his outing. I almost cried assuming I knew he had it on his mind we wouldn't bother stressing ourselves to buy the charcoal....that's bygone. We started cooking. My cousin prepared the Coal pot now we are ready to cook our food. I started picking beans. It cooked for a while poured rice and all the needed ingredients. At the moment I was craving for chilled coke. I left what I was doing, rushed out to the area to look for Coke. The first shop I saw they had Coke but I wasn't chilled I ran again to the next shop then bought my chilled Coke. Guess what I finished the Coke before I got home🤣🤣 Food is ready!!! I don't like using small plates to eat I love using bigger bowls😊 Thank you for reading!!!

Aggressive cancer I lost my one and only mum to a type of cancer. We don't even know the cause of this illness, it just started all of a sudden with an unknown symptom. It all started with a very little lump on the neck with alot of pain but she could still do all activities. We tried all we could use in Nigeria at the beginning of illness, we tried everything that we could do to stop the growth but it was all in vain. She had stop working, activities and stress. While her sisters abroad arranged for her flight to the USA (early 2021) for her surgery so as to operate the lump and check for more diagnoses. There were various tests for her to undergo so as to know what was wrong with her. The Doctor's diagnoses A 50 year old lady from Nigeria who when seen by her sister, a nurse, in 2019 had a walnut sized lump in her right neck. Over the last couple of years it has grown very quickly and is now 8x8cm in diameter and it has become painful and is limiting the movement of her right arm. I have carried out a CT neck and chest, which suggests that this is a schwannoma probably emerging from the right brachial plexus. A fine needle aspiration shows many necrotic tissue which is not unexpected in a fast growing tumour, but the differential diagnosis includes a sarcoma. There are no associated lymph nodes and her chest is clear, it certainly seems like a solitary mass on examination. She took alot of pain reliving drugs like morphine, tramadol and Pregabalin, as well as Ibuprofen, and many more packs of drugs whether syrup, capsules or tablet but all these seem to be inadequate to control the pain. The Surgery was successful and we were all glad even though it was 50/50 chance, she still scaled through death that almost snatched her from us. After the surgery she lost her right hand from the operation that was performed because the doctors said the lump on the neck had already tangled with vital nerves so they had to cut out the nerve that carries the right hand so her hand became paralyzed. One month after the surgery things got so worst and scary, she became so weak with so much more pain because the lump that was operated began to grow more bigger, bigger and bigger day by day. There was a day she just came downstairs and said she was feeling dizzy then she collapsed to the ground. Everybody was so scared, started crying and tried calling for help, then 4minutes later emergency unit came in and resuscitated her because she was no longer breathing nor talking. On the long run, their Visa expired and had to come back to Nigeria(August 2021). There was a last result my mom's sister received from the doctors that my mum had just 12weeks to live on Earth but my mum wasn't aware of the result. So expections were for her to die around November 2021. Alot of prayers and efforts were going on all over the world. My mum and Dad were to return back to Nigeria, as they got into the airplane immediately my mum collapsed and my Dad called for help. Emergency unit came to carry her and resuscitated her, in short she survived on oxygen till they got to Nigeria. That was a terrible experience. I don't know how well to thank my Dad for his love, support and endless care he gave her throughout the sickness. When they returned home, I went to welcome them home and everyone was happy to see them back to Nigeria. Though some people thought they went for enjoyment or vacation but they didn't know it has been a trying time for me and my family. This tumor began to increase bigger and bigger everyday on my mum's neck, my mum started becoming so weak and consumed packs of drugs every minute without getting result. No drug was working nor changing things. We decided to treat it locally, the tumor was forcefully opened. We thought that was the end of the sickness not after few days the pain increased X50 of the former pain she was having. I already lost hope because everyday comes a new phase of problems and cry of pain. Her condition became very worse. 13th February 2022, mum gave up the ghost right in front of me. I was confused at first because she was sweating profusely at first around 3am. I was trying to fan her and make her feel better but she couldn't make it anymore. She died of Sarcoma cancer what a wicked illness. I've been down lately just trying to be fine now. Thank you for reading!!! All pictures are mine. My former account has been spammed(Pefikt). Kindly like, subscribe and make me feel better on my new account Thank you😊😊
