Imitation is limitation The word imitation is from the Latin word "imitatio" and it means copying someone else's action. It is an advanced behaviour where by somebody looks at another person and replicate that persons behaviour. The world today is filled with people who tried to follow the trend and there by end of living the so called fake social media life. When we imitate other people we end up putting a limitation to what we can do and what we are.

Imitation makes us abandon our real life style there by not giving us the chance to develop on what we truly are. People who imitate others fail to realise that no two persons are the same no matter how identical. They do not appreciate what nature has given them. Instead of working hard to improve that which they have, that which is theirs, the end of improving on the lifestyle of another person. Imitation makes people see you in a light different from the original you. When you live a life of imitation, you are already living a borrowed life. People who want to add value to your life will not see the real you but a fake you. A story is always told of a young lady who lived a life of imitation. How social media handles we are filled with pictures and posts of a person who lives in luxury but her reality was far different from her social media life. People always made reference to her as that rich young lady who lacked nothing. She was used as an example of enterpreneurship and wealth. Nobody knew that in reality she was just a girl who struggled to make ends meet. she even liked capital to add to the little business that she was doing. One day she had about a prominent young man who had decided to give out free capital to young enterpreneurs who were in need of money. She decided to give it a try. When she got to the venue, most of the people who had come to get the capital were people who knew and believed in her social media lifestyle. Because she had to maintain the life she had created for herself through imitation, she ended up losing out on the opportunity to expand her business. She was unable to change her life to the better because she was obsessed with living a fake life.

A lot of people in our world today have destroyed their lives due to imitation occasioned by lack of contentment for what they have. Most of them go under the knife to change their god-given body. They want to have that sexy look, they want to look better than the are. Lots of lives have been lost due to some of these dangerous body alterations that people mostly women engage in. Sometimes, trying to appeal to the crowd or trying to follow with recent trends is not the answer. The answer to being a better person lies in acknowledging the fact that there is no one like you and in always appreciating your uniqueness. A wise person is never misled by what he or she has seen. It is better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for what you are not.

There is absolutely no gain in living fake life. All there is to it is self limitation which eventually leads 2 regrets in the future. Thanks for reading. Remain phenomenal💖
