Aouch! Bitcoin ATMs are being shutdown after being declared illegals in the UK. Apparently none of the ATM providers have been approved to be able to provide crypto ATM services or have the licensed to do so. That is quite tricky because how are they installed in the first place, and secondly are there regulation regarding crypto ATMs? For the first one, someone must have approved that. If the ATM only provides crypto services (payments, withdrawals to BTC wallet, deposit to BTC wallet) then as long as they do not have fiat in it I don't see a problem. It seems like the same deal with crypto lending/borrowing platforms that have the exchange feature. You need to get the license if you trade crypto to fiat or crypto to crypto.
