It always brings me great pleasure to watch the beautiful blooms in the garden transition into fruit that I can eat later. My parents' winter melon has begun a new flowering cycle, and some of the plants have begun to develop fruit. I am thrilled to see them and feel as if I have accomplished something in my life.
