Growing our own herbs for cooking is something that our family enjoys doing. Today's weather isn't particularly hot. I spent the day in my mom's garden, adding compost to the herbs. The basil has now turned a beautiful dark purple. But I'm sorry that those lovely basil flowers have to go and are being pinched.
