Giant Lime - I've just returned home after picking up my Covid-19 PCR Test Certificate, which I'll need for my trip to see my dad and mom in another city in a restricted zone. It was a negative lab test, and I am ready to leave tomorrow before sunrise for my 12-hour drive with all three of my cats. My land clearing and improvement work was finished yesterday. And now we're busy harvesting all of the remaining vegetables, papaya, banana, and lime fruits to sell to the market because all of my workers and assistants will be taking a long holiday on Friday and returning to work after the end of New Year holiday. I planted 20 Giant Lime trees on my property two years ago, and they are now bearing fruit. They are larger than a typical lime or lemon, with the size of a pomelo or a small child's head. It is my trial-and-error experiment. Giant lime has a milder citrus flavor than regular lime. I don't plan to scale up to take the Giant Lime to a commercial level because the market doesn't demand the size with the mild flavor. Furthermore, farming and planting the Giant Lime is quite labor intensive in preparing the supporting pole to the branches where their hanging fruit is and they require more space to plant. So I keep these Giant Lime on my property for my enjoyment. How's your Wednesday going?
