This Wednesday will be quite hot during the day. I was busy cleaning the water lily and lotus container ponds in my mom's garden since late morning to remove all dead leaves and debris, as the water would otherwise become algae blooms. The flowering buds on the pink lotus flower have formed, and they will be cut on this coming Sunday on Visakha Bucha Day, which honors the Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and death, as we are Buddhists. The lotus flower, a plant that rises above water from mud, is a symbol of purity. It symbolizes cleansing and purification. Buddhists use lotus flowers as offerings to show their admiration for monks and other revered Buddhist figures. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
