As is usual for today, it is scorching hot. There was a strong wind last night that threatened to rain, but it didn't. I only go out in the late afternoon to enjoy my mom's garden and water plants and flowers. Today, my favorite flower in my mom's garden is Aechmea Chantinii. The leaves of Aechmea Chantinii are green with silver stripes, rigid, and bordered with numerous little spines, therefore the common name of Amazonia Zebra Plant. With striking red bracts, the flower stalk emerges from the center of the rosette. The flower cluster is made up of several yellow and red flowerets. This lovely bloom has now become a focal point in my mom's garden. What was your day like? Do you have any plans for the weekend?
