The Killing beauty – Oleander Flower. Today is my last day of 14 days home quarantine as low risk profile of Covid-19. Village health volunteer and medical team supposed to visit me at home for my last day quarantine to conduct a rapid test. But I have called and requested for a rapid test at my nearest mobile unit. Two days ago, the community where I live have kicked off the active case finding in the community. The mobile unit where I visited is located at a car parking of Tesco Market Place (a version of convenience store run by Tesco Supermarket). After rapid test with negative result, I stumble upon this deadly beautiful flower of Oleander. The oleander plants including the leaves, flowers, twigs and stems are toxic and can cause severe illness or death. But why this killing beauty of oleander plant has been planted at Tesco Market Place for landscape. It may be planted for good reason of its evergreen shrub, draught tolerance and colorful flower. Also oleander plant is commonly known in Thailand to deter insects, rats, mice, and rodents. The delicate little oleander flowers may look innocent, but in fact extremely poisonous that even drinking water from a vase holding a bloom of oleander flower can cause a severe reaction. #FlowersPhotography
