Normally I don't plant any flower that not bearing fruit to eat but orchid is my exceptional. Even orchid flowers is considered as being tough to grow for houseplants. Orchids may require specialized potting mix, weather condition, sunshine and a certain amount of water to thrive and survive. And in return for your efforts to provide what they need, they will reward you with their exotic-looking flowers. I love to plant orchid by wrapping its root with some support soil mix with stalk of tree. Then let's all nature does their harmony to take care each other. With this way of only moderate watering, not fertilizing them with any growth hormones, I rarely enjoy its flowers. At its peak of well balance nature and ecosystem, I can enjoy orchid flower at least once a year. But the flower bloom will last for a month. This is my Fox Tail orchid or Rhynchostylis retusa that I enjoy its fresh bright color of more than 2 weeks now and it seems that it will last for the next many weeks. #FlowersPhotography
