As usual, she’s alone again. Sitting alone at the coffee shop they frequent from before. It feels great to be there again after all those years. Reminiscing the past where all they were was happy. She keeps smiling to her face while sipping her cup of coffee. She looked around and there he saw a familiar face. Tilting her head and a knot formed on her forehead. Where did he saw him now? She knew it was rude but she kept on staring at him. Good thing the guy is busy with his phone. But suddenly he looked up and smiled at her. Another tight knot on her forehead. The guy stood up and carried his coffee towards her. “I see you’re alone again today” is what he said. “Can I join you?” he added. Skeptical but she nodded her head. “Harvey here, you seem to not remember me”, he said smiling. “How many years was that back then? When I was lurking around you most of the time when we all hang out, but you seem to not see me at all.” Then she remembered, and she knew she noticed him back then. It was just that she’s so out of his league all those times. He’s a handsome guy, a guy in a band, and he’s popular. Unlike her who stays as a wall flower, always at the corner side of the room. She was so certain, he’s not going to notice her very own existence. But look at them now. Talking as if they were so close before.
