They belong to a circle of friends. Met during university outings. She didn’t know how they became so close. They consistently call and chat each other. They also meet up during their free times. Whenever there were night outs, and activities, they invite each other. She lived at the dormitory during those times. Then one time, the dorm girls decided to hang out at a bar near the dorm. They invited their boyfriends and she’s left with no one to invite but her guy friend. She felt awkward being alone with them so that is why. Haha. Typical night. It was raining. Again. She called his friend if he can come see her. Not a minute of hesitation and he said yes. No questions asked even if its pouring. Hahaha. That might be one of the best times together. The following morning, she was bugged by her dorm mates about her friend. Is he really just her friend and not her boyfriend. She shrugged her shoulders and said yes he’s her friend. “But what about what happened last night, You look so lovely together. Tending to the needs of each other. And he looked at you with warmth in his eyes. Even focused in listening while you sing.” That was then. She didn’t know what happened in the next years of friendship. She only knew, there were friendships that will never turn into romance. Right now, he’s engaged. With someone who looks a lot like her.
