29.08.2020 - Another day into Cryptoverse

I am HODL-ing, you are HODL-ing, everybody's HODL-ing. Bitcoin miners are now holding more bitcoins than at any other point in the last three years, as the flagship cryptocurrency continues to trade above $11,500. The inactive BTC wallets not used for more than one year are on the highest percentile in the last 4 years. Reasons? Some are waiting for the price to increase dramatically, some are saving for the mining equipment rotation. Also, the mining pools increased the ammount of BTC they hold to be on par with the miners.    Circle and Coinbase, along with other members of the Centre Consortium, are working to transform USDC - their stablecoin, in way to permit gasless sends (or at least very very small fees), in order to end the ETH gas fees madness. They are doing this mostly to increase their clients database, as newcomers will be discouraged when they see that you need to pay 12 USD to send 10 USD.    Blockfi use to pay 6% for up to 5 BTC, with 3.2% for whatever is over 5 BTC. Now the maximum amount is 2.5 BTC only, starting from 1st of September 2020.    Twitter reloaded. An employee at Tesla Gigafactory was told they would be paid $1 million if they installed malware that would extract sensitive company data. The cybercriminals, not very astute ones, i may say, planned to threaten the company with only a $4 million ransom. Thankfully, the Tesla worker tipped off the FBI, who arrested the mastermind. Are the people working at Tesla better than the ones working for Twitter? I let you to decide it.   The are bad. They are fast. They got the best tools of the trade. Beagleboyz are back! You may not believed, but this is not your average London Gang. This is a north korean hackers group, and they are elaborating quite sophisticated  “irreversible methods of theft” to target crypto exchanges. One of their signature malware trick is COPPERHEDGE – a remote access tool employed by sophisticated threat groups to target crypto exchanges. The tool can run commands on compromised systems and exfiltrate stolen data. They are well known for very well coordinated ATM cash-out attacks, like this one here. Still not as dangerous as Lazarus group, but they are intensifying the anti-U.S. cyberattacks lately.  https://www.teiss.co.uk/beagleboyz-atm-cash-out-campaigns/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lazarus_Group   News from Russia with love. While they are not openly ban the cryptocurrency, they are openly banning cryptocurrency. Are you confused? This is Russia for you. Russia’s internet censorship agency is allegedly blocking websites that are related to cryptocurrency, focusing on over-the-counter (OTC) cryptocurrency providers. BestChange.ru is one of the main targets, but also other websites are targeted, especially sites which offer bitcoin (BTC) for sale or exchanged goods in return for BTC.   Many DEFI tokens are decreasing now, with ETH and BTC losing few percents of their value. Band Protocol, Polkadot and Aragon are losing double digits. Major gains on Numeraire, i think i can remember how this project was almost dead in 2018, reaching $3.20. Who would think that you will see it ranked #59 with a value of $60 two years later. Sometimes HODL make sense. Sometimes not.    This website - DontBuyMeme.com made me laugh today. Made as a DEFI joke, at $81 per toke, can only show us that the world is crazier than we thought, and that shouting DEFI still sells anything. I like the personal tough on the website.  https://dontbuymeme.com/   RIP Chadwick Boseman! You will continue to live in our memory as The Black Panther. Wakanda forever! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chadwick_Boseman   On a personal note, i changed my signature, making it shorter and nicer, what do you think about it?   So, that's all for today! Enjoy playing with your Panda and have a good day!
