Abandoned church with "ghosts"

In a small town in Lukova, there is an abandoned church with ghost statues called, St. Geroge’s church. The church was built in the 14th century but after a hundred of years, it was finally abandoned in 1968. It was recorded that the church has had a troubled past. It was destroyed during the war and was rebuilt. After a century, it was caught in fire and reconstruction was made again. Then finally, during a funeral service, its roof fell and people believed that the church was hunted and so it was abandoned. After the church was left to rot, the people wanted to save it but didn’t have the money, until a local artist came up with an idea in 2012. Jakub Hadrava created 32 life-sized “ghosts” sitting on the pews and inside the church. It was said that the statues represent the Sudeten Germans, or German Bohemians, who used to live in the area. Jakub used his classmates as models in creating the statues by covering them in sheets and making plaster casts. Eventually after the installation, it attracted tourists to the church, since it has that eerie and spooky atmosphere. However, according to its caretaker, there are still some tourists who refuse to enter the church. It is also said that tourists donated thousands of dollars to help repair the roof of the church. If you are into ghosts, you would want to visit this place someday.
