Today's shower thought: What's the difference between a Secret Agent man and a Secret Asian man, assuming that the one isn't also the other (A secret agent Asian man or Asian Secret Agent man)? I'm sure there must be one, even though the pronunciation is pretty similar.

Someone tried to scam me out of my NFTs on OpenSea (and possibly more, if I had anything left in Crypto). The funny thing is that's the most attention anyone has given my NFTs in a long time. What's not so funny is that they've got my personal email address. https://www.publish0x.com/cryptographic-viking/gone-phishing-the-opensea-xdknzmo
To qoute Kevin "Bloody" Wilson, "today has been an absolute c**t of a day". I have been so absent-minded and wandered around aimlessly without getting much done that I probably would have misplaced my own head if it wasn't firmly attached to my neck. Now, I'm pretty sure my brain's gone AWOL and it's best if I get to bed early tonight. Hopefully, I might get a good night's sleep (which I've lacked for a few nights in succession) and actually manage to be productive tomorrow, instead of reading about the finer points of Backus-Naur Form (BNF) from 03:00 in the morning just to pass the time before sunrise.

Watching the notcurses demo gives me the distinct feeling that my computer has been infected with a virus specifically targeting GNU/Linux and is about to experience a snowcrash. The effect is both amazing (because it's a vast improvement on ncurses) and unnerving.
TIL: While looking at the list of packages available for the Nim programming language (through Nimble), I learned that there is such a thing as Dog API (dog images as a service). Aww! It has just knocked cheese.com (a Website about the cheeses of the world) out of the top spot as far as my happy place is concerned (and placekitten as my go-to for filler images when creating Website mock-ups). https://dog.ceo/dog-api/ https://www.thedogapi.com/ https://dogapi.dog/api/v2/
Somewhere, I have/had a box or two full of CDs, but I can't find it for the life of me. I really hope I didn't give it away (thinking that when I do listen to music, it's as digital files on a HD), because I remember taking some to hospice. I hope that was only the stuff I didn't want, not everything.
Today, in random things on the Internet: "It seems you woke Daddy, Mr. Bond!" in the end credits for a Harry Brewis (AKA H. Bomber Guy) video on Roblox (the Minecraft knockoff).
I happened to catch a few minutes of Super Model Me in passing tonight. I wondered, once again, whom decided that to make it as a model, one has to be an androgynous and flat-chested waif. That look really does nothing for me; I'm more inclined towards so-called "fat chicks". Show me a "plus-size" woman with a bust and hips in generous proportions, please and thank you.
Why is it that the more I get done, the more is piled on top of me to get done? I thought I was doing well today, actually tackling the crap that's holding me back instead of procrastinating, but no, there's a whole lot more with which I'll have to deal (which is going to be tomorrow's problem).
Today, I present to you Donald Trump as a #Wankpuffin ... Later today, I plan to upload a new album to Band Camp. One of the tracks thereon, titled "Wankpuffin" is a collection of samples I've put together to make fun of US presidents past and present.

The writing's on the wall. The time has come for me to be gone from the cryptosphere (at least for the foreseeable future). https://www.publish0x.com/cryptographic-viking/2023-10-12-the-week-in-review-not-that-i-think-anyone-cares-xqqkqwx

Today: Sexist ads from the 1950s: I'm glad I'm not most men and I think I know how women (previously the majority of workers in STEM-related professions) started to get sidelined to the point that ~83% of IT/development jobs in the US/UK are held by men.

Am I the only one whom thinks so, or is Pub0x showing a definite bias towards tipping in ETH? Lately, all the tips I've given are in ETH. I haven't looked at what I've received per post, but it seems to be that way too. I wouldn't mind so much if the amount of AMPL I have was above the minimum required to withdraw it.
I am almost always amused when I lose followers after posting content containing my socio-economic or political opinions. Maybe it shouldn't, because it presents a loss of potential income, but seeing as most whom bail can't be bothered to stick around long enough to challenge me, I'm guessing they're probably not worth having as followers anyway.
I don't need to read the entire Christian bible to know that it is appalling, atrocious, barbaric and horrific. The first two chapters alone confirm that. If I do end up reading the entire tome, it will be to see if there is any evidence supporting the claim that it contains anything good. So far, I have found none.
Two easy ways to piss me off (not that I suggest you try them if you know what's good for you): 1. Claim that religion is the source of human ethics/morality. 2. Make stupid statements that "God is Love" or similar. In both cases, you have ignored massive amounts of scripture to the contrary. I can cite passages from the Christian bible (both testaments) that clearly show that Yahweh/Yehowah is anything but love and that if you genuinely get your morality from the definitely-not good book (as I believe Andrew Tate does), you're a criminal most likely in jail. Having looked through the meta content of Fiverr's home page (yikes on bikes!), I think I'm going to have to learn how to make browser extensions for Firefox and create eMEARNgency (a plugin that parses and scans a Website's HTML, looking for such nasties as the MEARN stack, Google and FB code, issuing a warning about data and identity privacy and security risks if it finds any of them). Conceptually, it'll have the same sort of output as ToS;DR, but show the number of things found instead of an alphabetic rating. Of course, what would be particularly useful is if it can bring to an emergency stop loading of a Web page until a user is made aware of the risks and either acknowledged that they accept them or refused to use the site (a bit like how AV/Internet Security apps can prevent a page from loading and block certain malicious domains). With the popularity of such technologies (given the number of Web dev jobs that require MEARN experience/knowledge), I anticipate there are going to be more Websites using them as time goes by. I certainly don't want to spend any time on those sites (except to investigate the code for things for which the plugin should look out and warn against).
I came across an interesting/novel anti-bot/humanity check system today (on Fiverr): Press the button and hold it down for five seconds while the progress bar fills. With all the various inventive ways people are finding to verify humanity (excluding WorldCoin's orbs), CAPTCHA really should be a thing of the past. Ain't nobody got time for that!
"I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox and which you were probably saving for breakfast. Forgive me. They were delicious, so sweet and so cold." — William Carlos Williams; This is Just to Say In the battle between generosity and greed, greed often wins. Manbearpig is real! I'm super serial! Well, at least, he's as real as digital art can make him appear, anyway. (I'm still not sure if he's half man-bear and half pig or half man and half bear-pig, though.) Since I could, I managed to produce some near-photo-realistic images of Al Gore's mythical monster from South Park, mainly for a laugh. I'm quite pleased with how they turned out, so am making them available on my corner of Patreon (not that anyone has subscribed to it, but I'm hoping that if I post enough content and learn how to properly promote it, eventually something will land and change that.) Maybe I might fare better making the images available as NFTs instead, but I don't know, either way. This message has been brought to you by Al Gore and South Park! https://www.patreon.com/jizzy_rascal https://www.patreon.com/posts/manbearpig-is-90296324?utm_content=join_link
People without a sense of humour scare me. How do you manage to cope with the vicissitudes of life without occasionally turning into a homicidal maniac on a rampage? (I'm assuming here that that isn't something you do, but I could be mistaken.)
Donald Trump may not have built the Great Wall of Mexico (and got Mexico to pay for it), but he certainly divided the American people. He wasn't the first fascist in the White House, either (so much so that when I picked up a book on the Reagan administration, I mistook it for one on Trump's, but it's clear to me that there are definite parallels). https://www.publish0x.com/hunting-of-the-snark/fascism-in-america-different-people-same-agendas-xpxnmre?a=oQeZVJGJep&tid=Noise&t=Noise Images: Donald the Greatest Wall-Builder (AI generated images for the prompt "Donald Trump as Ronald Reagan as Bob the Builder")

I don't know what it says about me that I recognise often-used Windows Product and Serial Keys by sight. I suspect it's not good. FM9FY-TMF7Q-KCKCT-V9T29-TBBBG is just one of them (for both Win XP and a version of MS Office, possibly Office XP).
