Technology has broken the barrier of passing information from one language to another. An elderly woman asked me to help her type a 4 paged lesson that she’d be needing for her church Sunday School in English but she also wanted to have the lesson in her local dialect as a lot of the older members in her church can’t read English texts well. She suggested that she would prepare a written translation after I finished typing the lessons then I’ll help her type the translated text too. While she was away, I typed the English version then started thinking of how to evade waiting for her to manually translate it as I was traveling that day and you know how hard it is to turn down elderly widows. I decided to search the internet to see if I could translate the text online for free. The first website I clicked had her local dialect amongst their tools, so I used it. And under 5 mins, I was done translating it. When she came back, she was initially worried that she had delayed me but when I showed her the translated copy, she couldn’t hide the happiness in her eyes. #RandomThoughts
