Always be a step ahead. Don’t loose focus, but that is exactly what i did while playing this game. I have made a couple of posts about how I love playing chess, and sometimes I play up to a 50 games in a day. I haven’t been playing lots of games recently, but I have been making sure I play at least 1 game everyday. Now in this particular game, my opponent was lower rated than me. After making couple of moves, I discovered I was better than him since I was dominating. This made me loose focus and concentration and then I blundered. He saw that I blundered and capitalized on that, but remember I was better than him so in a couple of moves he blundered too and I started dominating again. I became bored and wanted to checkmate him fast, but that saw my king’s demise as I took my eyes of my king to focus on his king. I lost total focus on my king and I was about to checkmate him in one move, but he was one step ahead, so i ended up being checkmated thereby losing the game. Lesson learnt today.
