I was watching a report about Protect Pollinators. The number of pollinators is declining in our country as well as in other parts of the world due to indiscriminate use of pesticides on farmland, destruction of shrubs and unplanned urbanization. The results of which are adversely affecting agriculture at all. The country's small farmers will suffer the most. According to a study by Nature Ecology and Evolution, one of the main reasons for this loss to farmers is the decline in the number of pollinating species such as bees, butterflies, wasps, bats and hummingbirds, which are essential for breeding three-quarters of food grains and flowers. As a result, the rate of pollination is decreasing and the livelihood of small farmers is in crisis. Six factors have been identified behind the reduction in the number of pollinators and 10 types of risks have been mentioned. One by one, one by one. However, the main reasons for the loss of pollinators around the world are the destruction of their habitat, the use of fertilizers and pesticides, the increase in the size of pastures, climate change. In this situation, our country should change the policy of land use with agricultural policy for its own benefit. And for this we need to control the use of pesticides in the land and restore the habitat of pollinators in the agricultural landscape. #RandomThoughts
