@Germhel more from that month

Went to a grocery near home this morning when I heard the song "In My Life" by The Beatles playing in the background. I sang along under my breath whilst handling over my stuff to the man on the counter. Then I heard an old man not too far away from me singing joyfully, feeling nostalgic with the song. I couldn't explain what I felt, but for some unknown reasons, my tears rolled down without me even knowing. I find it strange, one of my very very emotional scenarios I have ever encountered. Caught myself having a meltdown like frozen butter tossed on fire. I went home crying and was asking myself, why I am sobbing so hard? I was so clouded up with this weird breakdown that I forgot to get my umbrella on the courtesy booth. I kept asking myself, why is my heart pounding?! Why on earth am I crying by just hearing a song way back and hearing it from the old man I don't even know?! Why? Answers were rushing down at me. It all boils down to missing home, missing my family and friends so much. I miss my Lola Stella. I miss my mama. I miss my siblings and cousins. I miss the place I grew up with. I miss Tacloban. I miss being the city mouse where walking down the streets is a luxury especially when times like this that I can't go out just to hang out because of pandemic. I miss the smell of the seas and the peace I get whenever I am in Palo. I miss waking up on a very cold morning. I miss home. Manila is a concrete jungle. Here I am, being a wife and a mother. Trying to be a better person, trying to be a better wife and a mother. Yes, there comes a point in life that you just have to grow up, brave the waves and make a way for another chapter of your life. Being outside your bounds is painful yet fulfilling at the same time. It reinforces your inner strength to be tougher and enables you to stand on your own feet. Days can come to a swift and can be really overwhelming, but knowing God is there in all of my seasons, I should therefore be strong, enduring and be the kind of person who will rely only to HIS STRENGTHS. Thank you Lord for your goodness. With all the things that is happening, high or lows, I can and will never be ungrateful. Yes Jesus, I will lay everything on your feet. I offer you my battles, including my weeping heart right now. I offer you these tears and this thankful heart... Sharing you a few lines of the song which caused me to vent out😅 Go find it on YouTube or Spotify for the exact feels. LOL "IN MY LIFE" The Beatles 1965 There are places I remember All my life though some have changed Some forever not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places have their moments With lovers and friends I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life I've loved them all... PS, sorry for being an emotional jelly. Have wonderful day everyone!
