Choosing people who you will spend the rest of your life with is crucial and the most important decision you can ever make. So choose wisely and never settle for less. Never feel bad for raising your standards because you do deserve more, someone that won't stand in your way to achieve your goals and your God. Look for a teachable partner who will share values and mindset with you that would help reduce the odds of getting it all wrong and for your relationship to be ultimately doomed. Though it is important to set healthy and firm boundaries, it is also important not to rely solely on our humanely wisdom because we are not infallible. Praying intentionally for what you seek for is the key because a good partner only comes from up above.
