Ways of Protecting the Environment ENVIRONMENT is everything that surrounds us. Living and non-living things are part of our environment. All the natural resources that sustains life on the planet is from our environment. The environment can be simply called the nature that accommodates for us to live in. It shields us and helps us grow into individual beings. The life of humans and animals is entirely dependent on it. It is the most precious gift of nature. But now our environment is in danger. Our mother Earth is currently facing a lot of environmental problems like global warming, acid rain, air and water pollution, climate change and many more that affect every single living thing that is in it. Saving our environment is vital for sustaining humankind because without a clean environment, none of us will live a comfortable life, or worst, none of us will survive. “Man is the only animal that fouls its own nest.” This quote makes us aware of our transgressions towards our environment and nature. The environment in which we live now is not the idyllic version of it. The more we pollute the Earth, the less we deserve to live on Earth! Everyone talks about stopping environment pollution but as long as humans exist, it is not possible to STOP pollution entirely. Although we can diminish it. The world was a clean place until we polluted it. The present situation of the world is a consequence of the exploitation of the environment and its resources. A clean environment is essential for us to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. Now, it is the biggest challenge for humans to degenerate the environment to its real state. Many of us believe that we lead lives that respect nature but our ingesting habits give us away. Many little habits that seem to be sustainable are in fact polluting. As our actions have been not in favor of protecting this planet, we have seen natural disasters striking us more often in the form of typhoons, flash floods, earthquakes and many more. Protecting the environment is not a new word for us. We all know what to do to protect it but the question is, “Are we sure that we really know how to protect the environment?” There are many things that we can do to help when it comes to saving the environment. There are tons of ways that you can live a sustainable life and help protect the environment. Protecting our planet starts with us. We need to be educated to help others understand the importance and value of our natural resources and make smart choices. We can volunteer for cleanups and tree planting in our community. Trees provides food and oxygen that is essential to our daily living. They also help clean the air and help fight climate change. When it comes to our homes, we can use energy efficient light bulbs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Choose non-toxic chemicals when you clean the house to avoid sending harmful substance into our waterways that can be harmful also to our health. Let’s conserve water. Cut down on what you throw away and follow the “3Rs (REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE)” to conserve natural resources and landfill space. Bike more, drive less when going out. We just have to discipline ourselves first to attract the attention of others to follow our lead. We can easily save our environment on the next generations in several ways by accepting and adopting a simple lifestyle. After all, our generation is the one who is currently living and using it. Give them an environment that isn’t damaged and teach them how to continue living sustainably. As a human who lives on Earth, it is our moral responsibility to make sure it is protected. This is the only home that we can live in so let us treat it with care and respect.

Does Social Media Violates Privacy? Nowadays, because of the pandemic, SOCIAL MEDIA became an integral part of our life and keeps everyone connected to the world according to our needs. Businesses use social media to communicate with their target audiences and generate brand awareness, leads, sales and revenue. Educators also use social media to connect with academic groups and has incorporated forums and chat rooms to increase interactivity with their students, promote events and courses and conduct webinars. We use it to reach out to our loved ones and nurture our relationship with them. It gives us the opportunity to speak out what we know and what we want to be known for. It increases our level of awareness of what was happening around us while making our whole world became smaller and smaller. Social media gives us opportunities to access almost everything with just a click away. Communication travels faster and accessing different information is easier. As a result, with today’s obsession with social media network, as more and more information gets placed online, some people out of curiosity tend to stole data and undermine personal privacy. The rules of the road are not necessarily intuitive while the tools of social media are easily accessible. Social media violates our privacy in many ways. Our personal information was shared to the government for security reasons. Social media wants us to think that they exist to build connection within communities. But like most companies, they buy social networking people’s information that helps them market their products or services. Our personal information is open to the public once we post it on social media sites and it is not secured by social networking firms which value their personal interests. Hackers are present everywhere. Everyone who signs in social media has access to our profiles with ease. Everything in social media can be spied. The fact is that, there is no privacy in social media world and we unexpectedly, unknowingly allowed it. No one wants their privacy to be invaded but even if we are being careful on sharing our information on social media sites, there are always someone to spy on you. Each social media platform has a different process to control privacy settings. Before you share your post or pics or even your personal information, always be mindful of who can see, react or comment. Cautiously decide whether you want your post and pictures to be visible to everyone or just with your friends. Tagging or mentioning of friends can be a lot of fun but also an invasion of privacy. If you don’t want to be tagged with something inappropriate, always review their tags before it was published publicly. Keep in mind, however, just because you may not approve the post to be published on your social media page, it may still be visible on theirs, publicly. Social media and networking sites can be a great way to stay connected with old friends and help you make new ones. Just keep your privacy shades drawn to the appropriate level.

Story of A Mom I snapped. I screamed to be left alone, to stop pulling on my pant leg. Please, just let me do these fucking dishes! I threw the plate in the sink, leaving a chip on the side that I know will continue to grow, the same way this chip in my mama heart may, always reminding me of this moment. I turned and I cracked. My heart cracked as I saw my daughter panic, looking for someone to run to, someone to save her, from me. But she didn’t find the arms of anyone else. She ran to me with tears streaming down her cheeks, rosy and round from toddlerhood. My heart cracked again when I scooped her into my arms and she squeezed with much more force than I expected for a tiny, not even two year old, body. She squeezed with relief, with fear and confusion. His arms tightening around my neck. But this doesn’t make me feel suffocated. It makes me feel grateful. Grateful that her love is unconditional. Grateful that she exists, and continues to not only challenge me, but to save me. She makes me a better person, and when I’m not, she forgives me. We just melted there together. Our bodies relaxing into one another, knowing we’re safe. Home. Her hand reached up to touch my cheeks while I whispered how sorry I was for getting upset, how loved she is, how amazing she is. And then she closed his eyes, and we both let it all go. And now she’s here, snuggling me and sleeping peacefully, as if 20 minutes ago never happened. My daughter is everything I want to be. Loving. Caring. Forgiving. Strong. Emotive. Empathetic. Resilient. I am by no means a perfect mom. I mess up all the time, even still. But one thing I know for sure is that I was made to be her mom. I was created to create her. I exist so that she could. I find comfort knowing that while I’m not perfect, I am her. I am HER mama, and that’s because I’m the best mama for her. I’ve got this, even when I don’t. Losing your cool doesn’t make you a bad mom. Getting frustrated and touched out, doesn’t make you a bad mom. Wanting alone time, doesn’t make you a bad mom. Even worrying if it does, makes you a good mom. Mama’s, we were chosen for our babies. They were hand picked for us. And us for them. We’ve got this, even when we feel like we don’t.

Source of Happiness A teacher brought balloons to school and asked the children to blow them all up and then each write their names on their balloon. They tossed all the balloons into the hall while the teacher mixed them from one end to the other. The teacher then gave them 5 minutes to find the balloon with their name on it. The children ran around, looking frantically but as the time ran out - nobody had found their own balloon… Then the teacher told them to take the balloon closest to them and give it to the person who’s name was on it. In less than 2 minutes everyone had their own balloon. Finally the teacher said, “Balloons are like happiness. No one will find it looking for theirs only. Instead if everyone cares about each others they will find theirs as quickly as possible.”

Every color is Beautiful When I was a kid, I was always teased because of my skin color. I have dark brown skin. They would call me Aeta or Carabao whenever I passed by the bullies. I never faught back. I was afraid that they will always turn back on me. That is why, As I grew up, when I entered college, I still expect people who will tease me for having the same skin color, as usual. Well, as expected but it was lighter. I mean, they won't call me Aeta or Carabao. Instead, they will joke around, especially when it is already night time that they can't see me through the dark. But then, at least it is lighter as I had said because as I grew up, I saw every inch of me. That there is nothing wrong on having dark skin color. It is a blessing from above. So I learned to be thankful. A lot of people would still joke me around and tell me the same things. But I would say thank you that you still know to identify colors 🤣

Reality People forgive. People forget. People stay. People leave. People love. People hate. But no matter what happen, you should stay as you are. You don't need the approval of other people. What important is that you have friends and family who will be always with you no matter what happen. They will accept you for who you are and what you are. That's not a fact. That's REALITY 😊

Gift of Nature Our family is still blessed because of our fruitful harvest from our garden everyday. I'm also blessed having my daughter beside me who always remind me to harvest our vegetables for our meal 😍

Human Nature We, people tend to get mad when someone disagrees with us or does something wrong to us. In return, we respond through the same way. That makes the world unpeaceful. We all know what is right or wrong and also what is good and bad but sometimes we choose to do things right or wrong or sometimes right and wrong. We tend to think that good is different from bad but I have a different perspective with it. I am a type of a person who always regret on the things that I haven't and should've done. So I decided to look always in a different angle. Whether good or bad. Whether right or wrong. All I am just saying is that in every bad deed that we do there is a good thing that will come in return. Also in good deed. What is that? It is moral lesson. In every wrong decision that we make, there is a right decision to make. To move on. And that also is a moral lesson. We should live our lives to the fullest. When someone did wrong to us look in different angle. Let us be good to people who did something bad to us. It is just all about respect. Everyone of us makes mistakes. Besides, that is a HUMAN NATURE.

Change Our life is like a book. It has a lot of chapters. Unlimited chapters. In each chapters, there are characters. These characters have different roles in our lives. They may be good or bad. They may do a lot of things that is either right or wrong. If one chapter ends, a new one will be in the making. The ending of the last chapter may be calm or chaotic because of these characters but what matters most is that you learned from them. They say, "Struggle is real!" For me, struggling is the most beautiful part of my life. I don't really like struggling but what I mean is it is a part of the chapter of the book. We have to embrace it. It is a part of our life. We learn from struggling. These characters are part of our struggles. We gain strength from struggling. After all, there is a rainbow after the rain. You just have to be optimistic. These characters may not be a part of the next chapter but life must go on. You just have to take another chance. Not may be with the old characters but with the new character in the beginning of the new chapter of your life. Everyone change. Everything change. Besides, the only thing that is constant is CHANGE.

If You lie, We all Die. We, all over the world, are struggling economically, physically and mentally right now because of the CoViD-19 pandemic. It is already too much struggle specially to those who don't have anything for living. Some countries are claiming that they are already CoVid free but the threat of this virus is still everywhere because the percentage of infected goes higher and higher in other places. If we really want to stop this pandemic already, then we have to cooperate. We have to be disciplined. It should start with ourselves. We should follow the guidelines so that we can be low risk. If you think that you are infected, tell the truth. Remember, "IF YOU LIE, WE ALL DIE."
