Västerbotten cheese is a Swedish granular hard cheese with a strong aromatic taste, which has been stored for at least 14 months. Still made according to the original recipe from 1872, which is a secret. There are many myths about this cheese, one that I like is that Västerbotten cheese is so tasty thanks to a comet crashing in the area a long time ago, which made the ground calcareous. When the cows, whose milk is made into cheese, eat the grass, they absorb the nutrients. Today I use the cheese for a Västerbotten cheese pie. Very simple but with complex flavors. #Food

Oh my... I'm happy I just saw this in the morning.... otherwise I would be eating something, thinking about this cheesy ... i would be Västerbotted all night! OK, cheese is already on the what to taste before I die list. Thank you for the info and I dropped in my calendar.... in the year of 2072, when the recipe will be 200 years old, I'll wait another 14 month to test the flavour (until then I'll know it!) I'll drop a Noise then about this! >D
omg. I suddenly felt hungry 😅
I love cheese but sometimes the strong smell just throws me off
