This is what I call little presents. On the way back from bringing my youngest daughter to her dancing classes I spotted this beautiful reflection of some orange coloured clouds in the canal.

I raked our small lawn in the front yard this morning. It resulted in a huge pile of yellow leaves. I can finally see the grass again 😄 There are still quite some leaves left on the tree, so I will have to do this a couple times more next week. And now ☕️

I just warned 13 euro in 15 minutes with Coinbase earn. I actually don't use my coinbase wallet, but I check in every now and then to see if they are giving away free coins. And since it had been a while since I last visited there were a couple of them. Easy money! Just answering a couple of multiple choice questions.

Last week we visited a seal sanctuary. They take care of sick or wounded seals. When they are cured they are released in the wild again. My daughters really lived the seals. Some were still babies that lost their mother's. They are taken care of until they can hunt for fish themselves.

My first vegetable garden experiment is going quite well. Although I have started planting vegetables after summer (which isn't the best time) the crops slowly start to grow. The broccoli (in the front) were planted seedlings. Two are almost dead, but the other two have grown really big already. The carrots, cauliflower and beetroot were planted as seeds and also slowly starting to grow. It's really fun growing your own crops!

I was right this morning. The wind has blow quite some leaves from the trees. In some spots in the park the whole ground is covered in them. Do you also like the smell of fallen leaves?

I really like the colour of the leaves in autumn. The trees in the parks look really nice. But today it got a bit more windy, so I think the leaves will soon fall off.

How do you draw someone's attention when you cannot comment on their posts? I'm following a few people on Noise.App that I used to follow on Noise.Cash, but I cannot comment on their posts because they don't follow me back. The only way I can 'communicate' with them on Noise.App is via likes, but either some people don't want to follow me anymore (very unlikely, haha!) or they don't check out their likes. Do you regularly check who likes your posts? I do and I've found quite some old pals by doing this.

I'm commuting by train today. I prefer going by bike. Especially with this nice weather, but I have to bring my daughter to her musical lessons late in the afternoon so I have to leave work early today. The flexibility with remote working and choosing your working times is one of the leftovers from the pandemic that is positive.

Somebody has been very creative with his Halloween decorations. I could see there was a baby born in this household, but the pumpkin is a bit too scary if you ask me 😂

Relaxing in the backyard with a cup of coffee in the sun after a 60 kilometer bike ride. What a beautifully sunny autumn day it is.

The weather is very mild for this time of the year in The Netherlands. It's 13 degrees at 8 in the morning and the sun is already up. But that is because of daylight savings time. I'm getting ready for a nice Sunday morning ride with two friends. Do you have any plans for this Sunday?

Yesterday we visited the beachcomber and shipwreck museum on the Dutch island Texel. The museum has a huge collection of items that beachcombers have found on the beaches over the past years. From kids toys to helmets, bombs from WW2 and complete ships. A very interesting collection.

Today we went to the island Texel. This lighthouse is on the farmost northern point of this nice island. We also visited a museum and a seal nursery. It was a very nice day. I'll post some more photos later. At the moment we are waiting for the ferry to take use back to the main land again.

Good morning Noisers! How is your day? I'm starting up with some coffee. We've planned a trip with the kids to one of the large Dutch islands; Texel. It is a car ride of just over an hour and 20 minutes by ferry. It was almost 20 years ago when I visited Texel for the last time. And my kids have never visited the island before. I'll share some photos sof the trip in the following days.

Does anyone else play WODL from Binance too? I have guessed 6 in a row now and they say you get rewards at 5 times. But I can't see what I have won..... Does anyone have a clue? I just try to keep this winning streak going. What is your record?

I'm always surprised about a large flock of storks that gather on a field near my work. I was told that a lady that lives in one of the houses feeds them regularly, so that's why they are coming back.

Trees that have fallen over in storms aren't removed from local parks anymore unless they block a path or for a danger. These trees are an excellent place for fungi to grow on and a source of food for insects.

The days are getting shorter here in The Netherlands. When cycling back home from work today I had to turn on my bike lights. It is nice to see the sky during sunset. Unfortunately the clock will be set an hour backwards this weekend because of daylight savings time, so I will be cycling in the dark from next week.

I really should go to the beach again soon. It's just 20 minutes by bike, but the last time I went to the beach must have been early in the summer. I hope I can find the time to go there again soon.

Two days ago I spotted liads of different fungi during a walk through a local park I made. One of them was this strangely looking one called White Saddle. It has a very interesting shape I think.

At first I had some difficulties finding people with the same interest to follow in Noise.App. But now I just check who liked my post and checknout their posts. If there is any interesting photography/nature related post, I start following that user. What about you?
