My Little Angels: The Green Souls That Healed Me 🪴 **My Little Angels** The little green lives that saved mine
*These are not just plants or flowers — they were my hope, my peace, my silent healers.* **🌿 The Story of a Window, a Few Pots, and a Healing Heart**
It was the year 2021. The entire world was under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic. That year, I got admitted to college—my first step into a new chapter of life. I had dreams of college days, new friends, new experiences… but all I got was the admission. Soon after, everything shut down due to lockdown. After a long wait, when the college finally reopened, exams started almost immediately. There had been no classes, no routine study—my academic preparation was almost nonexistent. I still remember that physics class test—out of 50 marks, I scored just 01! Yes, it's just 01. The result came through a message to my father’s phone. My parents didn’t say a word. They were always supportive, always calm. But I couldn’t accept it. A girl who always did well in school, who people expected to shine—was now sinking. Result after result… failure after failure… it crushed me. I was falling apart. At that time, I was living in another city, away from my family, in a girls' hostel. I shared a small room with one other girl. There was no balcony—just one small window. The pressure, the loneliness, the fear of failure—it all became too much. I could feel depression wrapping itself around me. Then one day, a friend took me to a plant nursery. The fresh green leaves, the smell of soil, the soft sunshine through the trees—it felt like a breath of fresh air in my heavy heart. I bought a few little plants and brought them back to my room. There was no space, but I didn’t care. I hung pots outside my window and planted them there. Every day, I watered them, talked to them, cared for them. In return, they gifted me tiny leaves, little buds, and sometimes—a delicate flower. Those small signs of life filled me with joy. That tiny window became my favorite place in the world. I no longer felt suffocated in that cramped room. Then, something magical started happening. Small birds began to visit my window every morning. If the window was closed, they chirped until I opened it. Butterflies came fluttering in, and even two squirrels used to come and snatch away the food I’d leave for them. I wasn’t lonely anymore. I wasn’t depressed. My results slowly started improving. Alhamdulillah, I eventually completed college successfully. Now I study at university, in a different city. I’ve left behind that small room, that little window—and most heartbreakingly, my dear plants. Before leaving, I gave them to my roommate to care for. I still miss those days terribly. Every time a new bud appeared, I used to get so excited! I would show it to everyone around me like I had discovered treasure. Those plants weren’t just decoration. They were my companions, my therapy, my silent support through the hardest chapter of my life. 🌼 A Thank You to My Little Angels
*✨ playing with moon✨* Though I’ve moved on, a part of me still lives in that tiny window garden. I’ll never forget how a few green leaves taught me to breathe again, to smile again. **Not all angels have wings — some have roots and petals.**
