Been away for couple of days, I had to do a lot of things almost everyday in our farm. Well, if you ask me if i will go back to corporate office one day, I’d say.... nah! I love being a farmer. I am currently watching the Walten Files and will have an article up maybe tomorrow. Have a great day folks and stay safe.

Another death in October. October 1st was a sad for my boyfriend’s family. The unexpected death of his older brother brought an overwhelming sadness for the family and friends. It was my first time to see how broken hearted was my boyfriend. Death indeed is unpredictable. He died a day after he came home, he surprised his siblings and slept side by side with his brothers. A few days after we laid him to his final resting place, my boyfriend’s nephew died inside the womb of his mother. It took her six days after she was able to deliver the baby. It was a still birth. She noticed that the baby no longer moves in her tummy. They immediately went to a hospital and found out that the baby doesn’t have a heartbeat anymore. This was her second conception and both babies were dead before coming out in this world. The funeral will be tomorrow. I don’t have the courage to look at the baby, I feel extremely sad by just even looking at the white coffin. It was a baby boy. This might be hard for my boyfriend’s brother (father of the baby). Early this year, they had a terrible motorbike accident that almost killed him. He lost his memory for a while and he is still recovering. His body is still weak and can’t work. Then he lost his brother in a motorbike accident. The day it happened, he was helping his son at work. When we went to see the remains in a funeral parlor, he was shaking his brother’s arms and telling him to wake up while crying. That scene broke me inside and cried. He never left the vicinity until the next day. At their brother’s home, he was always there. Looking after the remains. Oftentimes when I was there he would just sit around and look at the coffin. He doesn’t talk a lot since his accident. I can still see the pain in his eyes. Me and my boyfriend help him for any possible way that we can. I hope he can fully recover, and be healed soon physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. My boyfriend said, his brother used to be the black-sheep if their family. I think this is God’s way of embracing him back to Him. Whatever His purpose is, I know it will be good for everyone.
We survived covid-19 at home. Colds, cough, fever, and difficulty in breathing. These are the common symptoms of covid-19. Most of us when we feel sick and we have these symptoms will immediately seek for a health care attention or go to a nearest covid-19 test facility. The spread of the virus is rapid and we cannot contain it alone since it is an airborne disease. It changed lives and how we live in a daily basis. Face mask, sanitizer and social distancing are our new normal. Death seems to be a new normal too. Every week a friend or a family member dies because of the virus. I am sharing our story today NOT because I want to tell people that we can just survive it at home and no need to go to the hospital. This is **NOT** an advise when you feel you got the virus. It is just a mere article on how we survived it. The onset of symptoms. Our story started with my brother-in-law who have an asthma. Two weeks before we got the virus, he was vaccinated. Then he started to feel a bit ill. He felt weak most of the time, and he got a fever. It continued for another week. We just thought that it was just an adverse effect, and so it was. My sister and I got sick at the same time. On the first day, I got a terrible headache. I thought I wasn't had a good sleep. I drank a medicine for headache and slept, but the headache was still there when I woke up. Furthermore, I felt weak and didn’t move much that day. My sister was having the same issue. Headache. On the second day, I still felt weak with slight headache. I sweat it off in the morning and I took a hot bath since I was feeling cold. I took my headache medicine and slept. The bed was really calling me to lie down and sleep. When I woke up in the afternoon, my fever started. I also got chills. My sister that time was having a fever all day. We were with two kids at home, and they were completely fine. We told them to stay away from us and don’t go near us. They heed our advice. Tracking down everyone we faced. The following day, I got a little better, but I had colds and cough but no phlegm. My nose was stuffy and I kept on coughing. I was a bit worried because I got an asthma. My sister and I talked about it. We started to track down the people we faced and the places we went. Right then we found out that two of our neighbors were having the same condition but a week ahead of us when they started to feel sick. Then we tracked down the people they faced, we found out that a person who visited one of our neighbor for over two weeks was positive! He was home quarantined for a week when we found out that he was indeed got tested positive of the covid-19. The family kept it secretly as to not cause panic to those who were in closed contact with him before he got tested. Wrong move, I must say. We got infected by virus without knowing it. I was furious by the fact that we were very careful of not getting into the crowd to avoid the virus. We always follow standard health protocols when we go out. Maybe we failed in one instance that's why we had it. We didn't go for a test because we know exactly what hit us and we were doing our best to get better. We doubled our Vitamin C intake, more fruits and vegetables, more liquid, and rest. On the fourth day I lost my sense of smell and taste! I noticed it when I was slicing a lemon and I couldn't smell the scent of it. Eating was a bit challenging. Food didn't have any taste. No meat and oily food. Fifth day was scary. I kept on coming back to the loo, twice in an hour. I was having a difficulty in breathing. I though it was just an asthma attack, so I got my nebulizer and my nebule ready. My sister messaged my bother-in-law's cousin. She is a doctor and we asked if it's okay to nebulize. She assessed my condition and advised us not to use the nebulizer, instead get a hot water and add a salt then inhale the vapor. I got better in the afternoon but was still catching up with my breathing. At night, I did a steam inhalation and "tuob". My sister on the other hand was having a cough and colds too but she was doing better than me. My nephew started to feel ill too. She had a fever and cough too, the same symptoms we had experiencing for days. We did a 'tuob' for him too. I was sleeping in 45 degrees position. There was a time that I automatically got up because I couldn't breathe properly. I did a steam inhalation with salt again and after a few minutes, I felt okay and fell asleep. Day 6. I still have colds and cough without phlegm. I still had difficulty in breathing. We still continue to eat healthy food and taking a lot of rest. Early morning hot shower also helped me and right after that I walked outside for an exercise. Everyday I would go out and let myself bask under the sun for 30 minutes to one hour. I was very careful not to be around with anyone in our neighbor. I live in a farm with few houses and neighbors. The nearest neighbor is a hundred meters away from our house. Day 7. My sister was getting better. My nephew couldn't taste his food and can't smell it. My niece started to have a cough and fever. She is the last person who got sick in our household. I continued my routine though my progress was slow compared to my sister. My boyfriend also got sick but he got back in shape in no time. He ran errands for us and was also cautious to not spread the virus in our community. Day 8. I was still weak and sick. I slept most of the afternoons. I still ate a lot of fruits and drink plenty of liquid. Eating was still a hard thing to do but I forced myself to eat. I can't be sick for too long. Aside from vegetables, fruits, cough and cold medicines and Vitamin C, our sister from North Cotabato sent us a Lianhua tea and capsule. It boosted my recovery and I felt better the following days. Final note. Again, this is not a health advise. In our case, we have a doctor who monitored us all the way to our recovery. It is still best to get medical attention if you feel sick just take care though. In our case, though we didn't go for a test, we knew that it was the virus that made us sick. There was a time that I felt sad and scared. Scared that it might get worst the following day and I might die. We were able to recover from it and now, we are more cautious than ever. Strictly no attendance for birthdays and other celebrations to avoid the crowd and get infected again. We learned our lesson. Life is short. Live it well.
A Day in the Farm Hi there readers! I hope everything is going great at your end. Cold days are up since we are approaching the end of the year. It's monsoon season and typhoons are expected to dominate our weather system until the end of the year. The onset of La Niña had started. Flooding and natural calamities are common during this season. For farmers like us, it is not good. Too much water can suffocate the plant. Air pockets will be blocked and the plants will wilt and die too. See, too much of everything is bad. That is one rule of nature that we are all aware and yet we tend to disagree with it. Waking up! After I moved here at the farm, I usually get up at 5:00am. Fix my bed, do some hygiene and make my coffee. I read somewhere that successful people always do their bed first thing they get up. I find it amusing and started to do it too when I was still working in the city. I think the idea is, if you want to be successful do the little things that you need to do right away and be responsible with your mess. I don't know if I got it right but that's what I thought. Besides, fixing my bed right after I wake up is good, clean and tidy room. Hot coffee and checking my phone while looking after the rice that I am cooking is the next thing I do every morning. Once the rice is cooked, I head outside while still drinking my coffee. I usually cover my cup of coffee to prevent it from getting cold too fast. I would then check my vegetable plants. Seeing the fruits and the flowers makes my day complete. Sometimes I would pick some fresh vegetables for our breakfast. Cleaning the leaves in our front yard is one of doing an exercise. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to clean the leaves since we have a pretty big space. Sometimes I cook for breakfast but most of the time it's my sister's job to cook our viands. Breakfast usually consist of vegetables, eggs and leftover from previous night's dinner. I also do some work in our cardava banana farm. Cleaning out the weeds around the banana plant. It's a tough one. We also planted sweet potatoes and pumpkins in areas which the sun can still reach. Farm life. On afternoons, specially if the sun is up and it’s hot, I would take a nap or just lie on the hammock and listen to the birds and enjoying the afternoon. On rainy I can sleep up to two hours. Who could resist a sleep on a cold and rainy day? Late afternoons are spent tending our backyard vegetable garden. I have bitter gourd, eggplants, tomatoes, purple yam, malabar spinach, spring onions, water spinach, beans, okra, yam bean and a lot more! Fresh vegetables everyday for us. I also do an afternoon walk especially after the rain. Visiting a friend and passing the time at the riverbank is my favorite thing to do. The water is cold and so inviting! It makes me want to take a dip on it. Ah! Sometimes I do cycling around the farm. Tye setting of the sun is my favorite time of the day. The blast of colors across the sky is amazing. I can stare at the sky until the last light of the sun. Life is here is beautiful! The life that I have now is the far more different that I had before the pandemic happened. I think the pandemic brought me to the right place and people. I work now at day and sleep at night, opposite to what used to be. I breathe fresh air in a daily basis. I eat healthier foods now and shed some weight. I became content and happy for whatever life gives me. I became grounded. Whatever decision we chose be brave to stand for it. It may look difficult and the road may not be easy and contrary to what you imagined but believe me, everything will make sense and it’s worth it! Don’t give up and don’t be scared with the changes in your life.

Thank you @ Miyuki1991 for being my first ever sponsor! Cheers to you!
A crime of passion (Inspired by a true story). Against all the odds. She came from a well-to-do family. Her family owns a huge farm with various high yielding crops both for export and local market. Him on the other hand is a laborer. Working odd jobs to survive his daily needs. They met and fell inlove despite the differences. She was young then. Carefree and wild. She will do anything and everything for love. Born with a silver spoon, she gets whatever she wants in life. Him was working from dawn to sundown to make ends meet. He was contented for whatever life would serve him on his table. He was happy despite of being poor. *They fell inlove. They were both happy*. She accepted him and loved him unconditionally. She left her parents for him and moved in to his place. He was doing everything to provide for her. To make her life a bit comfortable because she wasn't used to it. They were happy living together. Young love and the joy it brings. Love conquers everything and so they believed. A few months later, she got pregnant. The once happy home they made started to break down. The fear of not getting the best for her child haunted her thoughts. The life she was in wasn't the life she dreamed off. Reality hit her hard. He assured her that he'll be there for him always. That he will do his best for their family. A baby was born. The life they had was not easy but they were looking forward to the day their baby will be born. Everyday was seemed magical for them. They prepared the things needed for the delivery. On the day the baby was born, the joy and excitement were replaced by tears. She held her son in her arms. A deformity on the baby’s mouth. Tears streaming down her cheeks. Her past mistakes and sins flooded her thoughts. Her baby doesn’t deserve such fate. They were discharged and started to care for the baby. The baby cannot properly drink the milk. He kept on crying day and night until he finally adapted his new environment. She was happy despite the hardships and the condition of the baby. They named the baby as Jhon. When the baby started to walk and celebrated his second birthday, he got the deformity fixed with the help of organizations. She was happy as she made her peace with her parents. She together with the baby and her husband were welcomed at her parent’s home. They lived there and in few years, her parents arranged their wedding. They had another son after five years. Betrayals. All was getting well. The kids are now at their teenage years. She was a silent mother and wife. She stays at home taking care of the family and tending her small business. Him was still working hard everyday to give his family a life they deserve. One day she decided to get a job as a real estate agent. She had to groom up herself. Her physical appearance improved. The way she dress herself and how she fix her face were all new to the husband. Months had passed and the troubles started. She was coming home late at night or will be gone for days without any explanation. She even got a tattoo of a butterfly on her arm that symbolizes change. She no longer hold him or make sweet gestures in the public. All along the husband knew what was happening but was just silent about it. He wanted to protect his family from shame. He confronted her one day but she only told him that she was just doing her job to provide and help the family. He cried for he knew it was all a lie. He fought for his family. He confronted the other man. He is a cop and a dangerous one. Things got heated up between the three of them. In result, he left her and brought along with him their first born son. They went to his parent’s home. He started a new life with his son. He put up a business which started to expand. He dreamed of working in abroad. He wanted to provide the best for his son. The life they have is far more different from what used to be. They were happy and contented. The secret plan. The wife had her way to be with his new found love. An illicit relationship. Her life is now driven with lust and selfish desire. She is happy with the freedom she found. One night at around 11:00pm, the husband had an accident. He fought for his life until his last breath. According to an eyewitness, the husband was drunk and riding a motorbike. He crashed on a post. The eyewitness said that he was speeding and his body flew 50 meters from the crash site. They just let the body lay on the ground for two hours until an ambulance came and brought him for immediate care. He didn’t had any bruises and fractures. He was unconscious for days on the hospital bed until he succumb to eternal sleep. His son, was in the hospital premises for days. Waiting for his father’s recovery. He was heartbroken when they said that he is gone. He cried. He loves his father more than any other person he knows of. The body was examined and they saw a bruise and a lump under his ear. A shape of a hammer they say. His motorbike doesn’t have any major defect after the crash. There is only one eyewitness to the accident that happened and he wasn't a credible person. The truth. An information had leaked about what really transpired that night. It wasn't an accident but a crime of passion. He was force to left his family because he was scared for his life. It was all planned. He knew that he'll be killed or arrested for a crime regarding drugs. The other man is a cop and he can do and manipulate things for his advantage. It was a perfect crime. It looked like an accident, they made it looked at that way. There were six people involved in the crime. She knew it and yet she had the audacity to go to the funeral and shed tears. She even made emotional posts and comments on her social media account. Days after his remains was laid to his final resting place, she started to go out with friends. She was seen on a cctv footage with the man, they were shopping! As for the kids, she bought brand new things for them to cover up her shame. She laughs like she never lost him. She is free now. Free to do the illicit relationship she have with a married man. We, the people who knew what really happened can't do anything because we are afraid. We are scared of what they might do to us. I know somewhere up there someone is watching and counting the sins they have committed. Justice will prevail in the right time and place.

How far will you go for love? Love. *A four letter word that can make or break a person’s life.* A strongest and deepest definition of an emotion we feel as a human and yet it is the most abused word. Love has a lot of face. It is compassion for someone in grief and hard times. It is when a mother held in her arms her new born baby. Love is when you think of the happiness of other people. Love is an ultimate sacrifice. The joy of being in-love. `Do you still remember when you first feel love?` The joy of seeing your sweetheart smile. The happiness you feel whenever that person is around. You can’t contain your gladness and your emotion. You smile unconsciously and the love you feel inside can be seen in your eyes. Then you begin to think of things that can make her happy. Her happiness is your happiness. You give your everything. You start to build dreams for your future with her. The future is not worth to live without her. You start to work hard and execute your plans. You want to be the best version of yourself everyday. The people around you start to notice the changes in you. You smile a lot. Inspired to do anything and everything. You are happy. You found peace amidst the chaos in your life. A bubble has burst. The happiness you found seems endless. Everyday is magical and you can't imagine yourself being apart from her but one day you realize that the spark on her eyes are gone. The longing look in her eyes and the her sweet innocent smile vanished. And then she said, "it's over". Your world stopped and slower down as she walk away from you. Leaving you motionless on your feet. You tried to run after her but everytime you take a step she getting farther and farther..away from you. She left you with a broken heart. The dreams you built with her crushed down before your eyes. The pain of losing her consumed you. You question your worth. You drowned yourself in tears. Memories of her still flooding your thoughts and everytime you close your eyes, you see her face. You can't accept the reality, the fact that she had left you. *You want to win her back. You want he back in your life.* You made attempts to bring back what used to be a fairytale-like happiness you had with her. You begged for another chance. You talked to her family and friends to help you but it's all up to her for the last say. Things didn't go well as you planned. She will never change her mind. ***She doesn't love you anymore.*** Accepting defeat. You dropped your sword and ended the battle. You reached to the point that you can no longer think of any positive words that you can say to yourself. You cried behind closed doors. Alone. People telling you to move on. You hear them talk but you don't listen. Little by little you start to stand. You start to look at people in their eyes. You do things that you weren't able to do before. You meet and make friends with new people. You started a new life- a life without her. You got a new job and it makes you better. You go on vacations all by yourself and discover life. You the see the world in a new perspective. That happiness can't be found in somebody else's happiness. *Happiness starts from within, from yourself.* Loving yourself must be the first thing you do before you can love other people. Time and only time can heal the wounds of the past. A new life. Love indeed has a lot of face. Oftentimes we can't see it because we fail to look for it within ourselves. We need to love ourselves too. If it doesn't serve you right and if no longer gives you peace and happiness, leave. Redeem yourself, save yourself from the heartache and pain it may bring. We tend to forget sometimes that we also need to love and protect our peace and happiness. Love will come at the right time and the right place. It will come knocking when you least expect it. ***Life is short, live it to the fullest. Laugh, cry, rejoice and be open to welcome whatever it may serve you.***

A new day has begun. The past week was a little busy for us. We left the farm unattended. My backyard garden is more of a bushy place now. All of this is because of the death of my boyfriend's brother. It's fine. A little sacrifice and respect for him and his remains. We laid him in his final resting place yesterday afternoon. We went home at 4:00pm. We waited for his tomb to be sealed and we bid goodbye. It wasn't the last goodbye, it isn't goodbye since we all know that in afterlife we'll meet again. Death is just the end of the journey. It comes knocking in our doors, and we can greet and embrace death in God's perfect time but most of the time he'll come unexpectedly. A new day.. I slept early last night because I was so tired. I woke up at 3:00am but went back to sleep. Got up at exactly 6:00 and made my coffee. My throat is a bit painful and my noise is itchy and stuffy. Nope, it isn't the virus. It's the allergic rhinitis. It was dusty yesterday and though I was wearing a mask it still got through my "fragile" nose. I am thinking a lot of things to do today. My boyfriend is now in the farm bagging the cardava bananas. I will do the laundry today and after that I will go to the garden to pull out the weeds and clean it. We need to move forward and let go of the pain of losing him. We need to be well and continue living. We surely miss him and we will never forget his memories. Moving forward from the pain isn't bad, it's healthy. My boyfriend is still processing it. I can tell that he is starting to accept the things we can't change and control. He'll get through this. His gift.. His girlfriend will give birth soon! We can still see a part of him breathing and flourishing. It's a baby boy! May he grow into a loving and kind man just like his father. His birth would give us joy and happiness. A gift his father left. A new life we will see and guide. He is not gone forever. He will remain in our hearts. The darkness of the night shall not last. The sun will rise again and we'll all be well in time. Be our star now that shines from afar giving us joy and hope in our hearts. Be now our moon that gives light to our journey in a cold dark night.
Good morning from Philippines!!!! A new article is up. Have a great day.
Random Words to Ponder. Guess the words #PromptFactory I read the article of @meitanteikudo about picking random words and creating or sharing your thoughts about it. I just don't have anything in my mind to write at this moment. I feel uninspired to pen my thoughts but let me try to do this challenge. Okay, without further ado, here are the five random words I got using a random word generation website. MUSEUM SINGER CRY FOOL RECKLESS MUSEUM Yeah, it is definitely random! Museums are places where the past and the present meet. I have never been in to a museum but always wanted to visit one. Visiting a museum would sure give a feeling of traveling back in time. We are learning the past and relating it to our present and future. Although I wasn't able to visit one, I sure was able to take a look art galleries shows and exhibits. I am a fan of artworks and most of all paintings. Looking at the paintings is like reading somebody's mind and the innermost thoughts of the artist. It's like reliving their lives and relating to their experiences based upon the emotions being depicted in the portrait. I could sit for hours looking at a beautiful painting. *The next random word I got is....* Singer I can sing! Yes I can, everyone can sing of course, but I can't guarantee to give you a good performance. My favorite singer is Dido, and my favorite song of her is Thank You and The Day Before the Day. She has this low voice that touches you heart and soul. If you are familiar with Eminem's hit "Stan" it was Dido singing 'My tea's gone cold I'm wondering why I got of bed at all.... My tea's gone cold I'm wondering why I Got out of bed at all The morning rain clouds up my window And I can't see at all And even if I could it'll all be gray Put your picture on my wall It reminds me, that it's not so bad It's not so bad.. You may not be familiar with her but I lover and her music! For Filipino singers, I chose Moira. Why not? Her songs are heartfelt and her voice is cool! The emotions she put in her songs are absolutely fantastic. I've seen her interviews too, her wisdom transcends to the lyrics and notes of her songs. I love her! I know that there is a song after 'Paubaya' but she haven't released it yet. I saw it in her Facebook page on August 9 this year, 'Paano at saan magsisimula'. It's a song meant for those who were left behind. Awwww! *Next word before I start to cry over Moira's songs...* Cry Crying is our way of cleansing our soul from sadness and negative emotions. Crying doesn't mean we are cowards. A great and strong man knows when to let the tears stream down his face. I was a crybaby when I was little. I cried endlessly and loud. I cried when my mother went to Davao City for a day because I was afraid of losing her too. This happened after our Tatay passed away. He was shot seven times by the robbers. I was scared that something might happened to her. I wanted to be with her. I seldom cry this past few months. The last time I could remember myself crying was when I was anxious and depression started to eat up my thoughts last year because I left my job and my life due to pandemic. I shut down my social media accounts for more than a month and focused on learning new things in the farm. Little by little I became better. I became happy and I accepted the changes in my life. Let's be open in new possible ventures and opportunities. *Fourth word..* Fool This is difficult. Can I change my set of random words? Hahaha! Okay, there were times in the past that I made myself a fool in front of at least few people. Entering a classroom and realizing it wasn't my class. Getting into a parked car that wasn't ours. Imagine that! That was hilarious and at the same time embarrassing. We make mistakes and sometimes make a fool of ourselves but events like that make us become a better person. We become more aware and careful of not repeating it. *And the last word is...* Reckless Reckless and the fourth word is related. In our recklessness, we become a fool. Decisions shouldn't be made in haste. One needs to think the consequences and the possible outcomes in the future. Life is not a gamble, you become reckless when you just let everything in your life rely on luck. Reckless is doing nothing while in distress. Reckless is letting bad things happen. Am I reckless? I don't think so but maybe unconciously I am. I am not perfect, I do mistakes. We become humane the moment we humble ourselves and accept our mistakes. Final note. Words are what this world made up. It can break or make somebody's life. Words if left unspoken leads to heartbreak and regret. It is our tool to communicate and break barriers.

FluffyClouds as my Username. In the past I made alias and cool names. I got the idea from a book I read in our school library. There was this book that I borrowed over the weekend and read a story of four kids who made aliases for themselves on a tree house. I can't fully recall the names but I can remember one, "***Princess Apple Blossom***". I liked it! I even used it during my grade school days and even in high school and college. Then I had my first heart break. I cried a lot. Ah! Young love and heartbreak. Nothing could be more painful than that of getting betrayed and played. Out of sadness sprung the alias "***autumn_teardrops***". autumn_teardrops: sadness in fall During the time, a Korean Drama series was being aired. The story of Jhonny and Jenny. Endless Love: Autumn in my heart. A story of pure love. A story of two siblings who grew up together from a happy and loving home. But one day, they discovered that they were not related. Jenny chose to be with her real family who were poor. Her world turned upside down. From being rich to being poor. Johnny and her real sister together with their parents went to US. Ah!! That scene when Jenny was crying and running in the rain while trying to catch up with the car, it broke my heart. Years later, the family cake back. At first they weren't able to recognize Jenny. Yo cut the story short, Jenny and Jhonny fell in love with each other but their families didn't approved of it. They fought for their love but Jenny got sick and was dying! Jhonny made sure that Jenny is always happy. Jenny died in Jhonny's arms on a beach during sunset. Few days later Jhonny died too, he got hit by a truck. So that's story behind the alias autumn_teardrops. My first heart break and a Korean drama series. I no longer use it but I still like it. The next alias that I made is ***SummerRain***. I just thought of two contradicting things in nature. Rain in Summer, why not? So that's how I came up with that alias. I don't use it but yeah, I like it. SaltyLemon, SaltyLemonade, TheSaltyLemon. Lemon and Salty food are two of my most favorite food. Whenever I go to the mall, it's not the milktea or coffee for my first stop. It's a small stall with few people selling lemonade! Lemonade with strawberries or yogurt. To rank it, classic lemonade would be first, second is strawberry lemonade and last is yogurt lemonade. I also made lemonades at home and lemon water with chia seeds at work. My officemates even called me "Salty lemonade" at work. They also made alias for themselves like 'Orange Cassidy'. Readers who are also members of noise.cash can recognize this name https:/noise.cash/u/TheSaltyLemon yes! That's me. FluffyClouds One fine afternoon, we went to our calamansi farm. The sun wasn't too hot and it was a bit windy. The sky was clear with few fluffy clouds afloat. The sky had always been my canvass for photography ever since. I like to take photos of it, holding a flower or a thing. The alias just came in my thoughts and right then at that moment I decided to write and become a member of this platform with a username FluffyClouds. As I am writing this article, I am under the sea of fluffy clouds while the gentle breeze of afternoon air kissing my cheeks. Should I make a new alias in the future? I don't think so, I guess I'll be settling with FluffyClouds.

Sunday and Filipino tradition. Sunday! One of the most celebrated day of the week. Sunday means 'day of the sun' in Old English. In Roman history, it has been decreed by Constantine I that it will be the day for rest. Linggo in Tagalog and Dominggo in Visayan and Hiligaynon. Sunday is family day! The usual Sunday for Filipinos is spent in Churches in the morning hence the country is the only Christian nation in Asia. Young girls wearing their most beautiful dresses. Young boys are are kept tidy and expected to be in their most favorable behavior all throughout the duration of the Sunday worship. I remember when we were kids together with my two older sisters going to church with our parents, the three of us are wearing the same color of dress. Curios I was why the people had to lined up and get something to eat. I received my First Holy Communion when I was 11 years old. After the Holy Mass, friends and relatives usually chitchat a bit before heading home. Families are at rest on Sundays. Relatives would come over and bring food and having a great time to bond and catch up with each and everyone. Feast and celebrations are usually set on Sundays. Food, laughter and joyous celebration that is how we Filipinos spent our Sundays. Reminiscing the past with good old songs. Who could ever resist old songs? It has a nostalgic feeling. Songs like Born Free, Don't cry Joni and Boulevard. Radio stations on Sundays play these songs and the like on Sunday mornings. Tagalog songs or the Original Pinoy Music (OPM) are also in the list. Songs of the famous Emilda Papin like 'Isang Linggong Pag-ibig' hit the airwaves and even us- the 90's kids know how to sang it. The current Sundays. There was a time that we were not able to celebrate the Holy Sacrament on Sundays, instead it has been done through online. Things had changed. Holy Mass are held and done online. Friends and families no longer gather. Celebrations are limited and if not done secretly or in private. This happened because of the pandemic. Everyone in the world had been affected. Classes are done online. Lucky are those who have access with the internet. Sundays will never be the same again until the virus is gone. My Sundays are now spent in dong house chores in the morning and relaxation in the afternoon. Worshipping is done at home while watching the Holy Mass on TV. Do I miss my pre pandemic Sundays? Definitely yes!
A journey ends: death. We only have one life, live it to the fullest. We don't know what lies ahead of us. Moments of endless laughter and joy turns to tears and sadness. We sleep at night and might not be able to see the light again. We leave our homes not knowing what might happen to us outside. Last night my boyfriend's brother came home. He surprised his siblings, riding on his blue motorbike, he showed up with a big smile. He is serving the country in the Armed Forces of the Philippines. He was vey happy to return home and announce that his girlfriend will soon give birth to their first child. They had a few drinks at home, laughter and joyful conversation prevailed until almost 12 midnight. He brought with him a dozen of instant coffee in his bag. At 3:00am they all woke up. Him getting ready to return to his post and the others preparing for their early routine for work. They told him to stay for a day but he refused. He needs to be in his post by 8:00am. He bid goodbye and said he'll be coming back. He gave them a last smile and glance and that was the last time they'd seen him alive. At 9:00 am, we received a call informing us that he got involved in a road accident. My boyfriend was dumbfounded and froze as I gasped and hugged him. He went to his older brother's house to help with the arrangements. When he came back here at noon, after we ate lunch, we cooled ourselves outside under the shade of a tree on a hammock. He burst into tears. I feel sorry for him. He cried and cried and I was telling him that his brother is in a better place, that we should be thankful to God for he never let his brother suffer. He was dead on a spot while riding back to the city. That was the first time I've seen him cried. Heartbroken and he still can't believe it. He loves his brother. They grew up together in a small hut near a river with their parents. He often shares stories of their childhood. Getting a good spank after playing in the river, them looking for firewood and happy memories. He looks up to his brother and proud of him. His remains is still in the morgue as I write his. My boyfriend still sobs and cry. I just need to be at his side and be with him for emotional support. He doesn't have the appetite to eat anything but I told him to at least eat something to fill his tummy which he does. I know this will change everything. Life is unpredictable. We can't tell on when we leave this world. In a split second of wrong decision and move we might die. Life is precious. Life is a gift. We can only live once make the most of it. Be happy. Avoid negativity. Inspire and be inspired.
My introduction, my life. Background. I grew up from a small town in North Cotabato in Philippines. It is in the island of Mindanao. People often associate the word Mindanao to armed conflicts and endless war between Moro rebels and the government. I am the youngest child, I have two older sisters and both are married. Our childhood summer days were spent climbing up trees in the afternoon and attending Flores de Mayo. We always look forward for the month of May when flower blooms and children from our village hunt for the most beautiful flower to be offered for Mother Mary on the first day of the month. We sang hymns and praises for Her. Showering her with flower petals. Kids are taught on how to pray the Holy Rosary and the basic Catholic doctrines. Those who are nine years old and above can have their first Holy Communion and it is the most anticipated event of the month. A culmination is set on the last day of the month. Food prepared by our parents, gifts given by our teachers and our local church leaders. When I turned 15, I became an apprentice Flores de Mayo teacher and the following year, I became a cathechist. College and dilemma. I graduated and passed the entrance exam in a University funded by the government. It is one of the most prestigious schools in Mindanao focusing in Agriculture. One needs to pass the cut off score and for every colleged there is a required score from the entrance exam and high school general average. I got into the College of Engineering and Computing. I took Bachelor of Science in Information Management but I shifted to Agricultural Business since that was really what I want. I was having a thought of leaving college and wanting to travel a road that few young people chose- becoming a nun. My friends in college had a talk with me. They said to give myself a year to decide. On my 18th birthday, I received a postcard from a nun in Davao City. I thought it was sign but the thought of leaving home and everyone scared me by then I realized that life in vocation is not for me. Circumstances made me transfer to another school in Davao City. I studied Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing and Management. I became a working student. I was skinny then. I almost gave up when I enrolled myself in three major subjects in one semester. Advertising, Marketing Research and Product Quality Management. That meant a lot of work to do in a semester. I cried on a deadline date. It was raining hard and I needed to print out the final output. I was able to pull it off amidst all odds that happened to me that day but I came home wet and cold. Work and becoming an adult. Finding a job for the first time is not easy! I failed my first job interview. It was a nerve wracking experience. I failed my first job interview- now that's a confession. Maybe I wasn't confident enough during the interview. I was scared of failing it and it got into my head. It became my motivation to do better for my next interview. My second job interview was for a Personal Assistant vacancy. I got hired! The excitement and joy of getting a job for the first time but I need to move to Metro Manila. Oh no! I wasn't ready for it. It was a promising career in real estate but I turned it down. My next job interview was for Non-Government Organization. We facilitated and trained women around the Philippines giving them opportunities for business and empowering them with skills and fresh ideas. It was a perfect job for me, I got to travel everywhere in the country for free! I stayed in that job for a year. When I came back to Davao City, I got a job in a BPO for an international account. It is the largest TelCo in the US. I wasn't able to get hold of myself for that account. I let myself rest for a month and from it I started again but it was a strong start. I landed in a different BPO company. I stayed for three years, eventually the account shut down because of AI upgrades. Then I got a job for the largest car rental company in the world. Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty. Promotion was knocking in my front door but the pandemic happened. In an instant, my life changed. I went to work that night thinking of my usual daily routine. I left work and never came back. I left the city and my life I built for years. Exodus. I packed my clothes and personal things in an hour. I left our house. My bed was kept tidy and clean thinking that I will be back in a month and the longest would be three months. I took a ride going to another city since there was a long queue coming in the city. My sister and brother-in-law can't get in so I just took a public transport going to the next city. The amount of anxiety and fear kicked in. I was scared of carrying the virus into my sister's place. I had an anxiety. I couldn't sleep at night. I kept on thinking about the future and my life. It came to a point that I deactivated my social media accounts for months. I cried behind close doors. I didn't know what to do with my life. Love and crypto currency. You will find love in the most unexpected way. In my silent battle with anxiety somebody is hoping to be noticed by me. He is my sister's employee here at the farm. I've seen him in a daily basis. I was being mean to him most of the time. He would greet me with big smile. The courting waz made proper. He asked for my sister's approval. After three months of courting I said yes to him. He is the kindest person I've met. Sweet and caring and loyal. I am lucky and grateful for the support and love he is showing me everyday. I started crypto just this year. I can't remember exactly how I got it here but I am loving it. Then I joined noise.cash my earnings from that site helped me with my expenses here at the farm. By the way, I am into farming now and I will make an article for that in the future. I bought farm inputs using my earnings. I have adapted and get used to what crypto market looks like. Highs and lows. Bull run and bearish. I am still learning it. Future. I am not longing anymore to go back in the city. I might be settling down here. The simple life and fresh air everyday convince me to stay. Away from the city but nearer to nature. I'll stay and survive wherever fate may bring me. Tough!
