Benefits of obedience.. It benefits allot to be obedient and heed to advice of elders because they are More experienced and know more than we do There's a parable that says what an elderly person sees while sitting even if you a Younger one climbs the tallest tree you cannot see it, you should have pondered over this a little. Now,what is obedience,we all have various ways of defining obedience but I will define obedience as the adherence to set down rules and principles by higher authorities or elderly ones. Sometimes not obeying the order if so elder helps one scale through trouble and regrets but most at times it benefits to obey. The fact that am saying obey your elders doesn't necessarily mean that even when you are asked to commit an offence by an elder you should go ahead and commit it, as a matured Person we should be able to distinguish between good and bad,so as to know when to obey and when not to, but when you don't want to heed to an elders instructions you say it in a proper way not rudely. In most situation people obey orders Because they want rewards and want to avoid negative consequences of disobeying, and because they believe an authority is legitimate. In more extreme situations people obey even when they are required to violate their own values or commit crimes. Benefits of obedience: obedience has lots of benefit both to individuals and society at large but I will just mention a few of them; 1)it helps you deal with bad events whenever you experience difficulties. 2) Elders around you will always help you in need when you are loyal. 3)helps you gain happiness. 4) helps you live a better life. 5) stores lots of reward for you in heaven. 6)it poses a good image of you. 7) makes you trustworthy. 8)makes your parents and elders love you more etc. I will like to share a story on how obedience helped me escape trouble. My friends and I planned attending a friend's birthday party, I told my parents about it but they told me I shouldn't go that they don't have a good feeling about the outing, my friends told me that their parents also had the same opinion about the outing and refused them going but they said they couldn't miss this party for anything in the world and I told them that I can't disobey my parents.they started calling me respectful child and other name, saying I can't be bold and courageous for once but I still bluntly refused joining them. On that faithful night, they snuck out but I refused going as my parents had advised,so I stayed back but I was unhappy and felt lonely refusing to see or talk to anyone. The next day I was anticipating for their call for them to give me the gist on how the party went. Then something shocking happened the next day, while my parents were watching the news they saw that some set if students died on their way back from a party, my parents recognized my friends and called me immediately telling me to listen to the news on hearing the news I was so happy to have listened to my parents. At first it may look as if your parents are over protective but the fact is that it's for your best interest and later you'll know the reason why they did it for you and you will appreciate. Please like and comments and also share your experience on how obedience has helped you scale through trouble. Thanks...

Self control People have used different terms for self control, such as; discipline, determination, grit, fortitude and will power. Self control can be defined as the ability to regulate ones behaviour in the face of temptations and impulses.self control is a cognitive process that is necessary for regulating one's behaviour in order to achieve specific goals. It is the ability to manage your actions, feelings and emotions in order to respond appropriately to an issue. That takes us to the types if self control; Impulse control:we should always stop and think through, the consequences outcome and results before acting. A self controlled person tend to live healthier and better than those without self control For instance a self controlled student will have good grades and performances in their classes because they are disciplined and also in an organization a self controlled personnel tends to work hard to expand, improve and grow the business. Height of selflessness How selfless can a man be?? First of all what is selflessness?? Selflessness is when you put others interested before yours. Jesus actually demonstrated a selfless act by dying on the cross for our sins. We should sometimes Learn to put others interest before ours because it can make allot of difference, help others and save others. I will like to share a story on selflessness: A man was married to a woman for long without any issue, they went to different hospital and was confirmed medically ok and fit to have kids of their own. So after 10yrs of marriage they finally got a child and after the delivery the doctor told her that she wouldn't be able to give birth to a child again. So she decided to treasure the one and only God has given to her. They were Happy and the child grew Very fast and became a grown beautiful girl, she made her parents proud both in her academics and character as a responsible child. She came first overall in her class and got all A's in her grade and this made her parents shower her with much love, gifts and attention.which made her so happy and feel loved. They continued as one big family, for months, weeks and days and they decided to go on a family outing on a Saturday. So on that faithful day they went out for the family outing as they have planned, everything went well and smoothly unknowingly to them that that was this would lead to sorrow and Sadness. On their way back, they were stopped by a young boy who just finished his service and was robbed on his way back from service,so they stopped to see what his reason for stopping them was, so after he narrated his ordeal to them, they requested that he showed them his ID card which he did and they agreed to help him. They conversated well and the man decided to take a short path because there was traffic jam on the usually path, so when they got to a lonely path, immediately a vehicle pulled up in front of them and pointed a gun at them asking them to come down, which they did and the kidnappers requested for a person, the man offered himself of which they rejected saying they needed a young one, the man was faced with the challenge of either giving them his child or the boy he helped on their way back, shockingly the man offered his daughter and spared the life of the stranger which was a very difficult decision for him. So on getting home, his wife hated him, despised him, and refused to have anything to do with him, she cried and cried wishing this day had never come, she started insulting and disrespecting her husband, stopped performing her duties as a wife and said her husband was a ritualist that he had used his daughter for rituals.confirming her suspicions the man got a contract he has always been waiting for worth over 50 million naira. As usual this aroused Many suspicions and rumors on his sudden wealth, all the money he gave to assist others were rejected and his wife left his house after an advise from her friend that if she doesn't leave she might be the next sacrificial lamb. Everything he did was all to no avail and he has made up his mind to end his life, about to take the poison he got early, suddenly he heard a knock on his door and when he opened he was startled at what he saw, behold it was his daughter who got kidnapped, the youth corper he gave a ride that Same day and his uncle. So he confirmed that his daughter was really alive and he was so excited and asked how it happened so the youth Corper narrated how he saw her in the hospital when he went to visit his close friend and recognize her, so he told his uncle about it and they took care of her, paid her hospital Bills and she got discharged then they decided to bring her home,it happened that on that day when they kidnapped the little girl, they got into an accident and every one died except for the the little girl who was unconscious and was rushed to a nearby hospital and with timely intervention survived. On hearing the whole story he was so amazed and thank God who has finally vindicated him and saved him the shame, then immediately his wife who had come to inform him that she wants a divorce entered and she saw her daughter and was so happy and hugged her, she then begged for forgiveness on her distrust for her husband, he forgave her and their peace we're restored and they lived happily. Please I need your comments, if you were the man, what would you have done,?? Would you have given your child like he did or the you would have given them the stranger.???pls Share your thoughts.thanks.

Forgiveness What is FORGIVENESS?? FORGIVENESS is the act of letting go of resentment, grudges, bitterness and thoughts of revenge. Who hasn't been hurt by actions or words of others?? perhaps a parent constantly criticize you while growing up, a colleague sabotaged your project, your partner cheated on you,or you have been abused physically or emotionally by someone??? These wounds and hurts can make you feel angry, bitter and even the feeling of revenge, but, if you don't forgive you mighend up paying dearly for it. If you forgive and move on, there's an assurance that those wounds will eventually heal, but if you don't forgive and decide to hold grudges you will find out that the wounds get Dipper and Dipper leading to more damage. Though the hurt or internal injury on you might always be with you but forgiveness makes it heal faster and lessens it's grip on you.some People are actually naturally forgiving than others, but, if you are a grudge holder, almost anyone can learn to be more forgiving. When you let go of grudges and hurts, you will no longer define your life by how you've been hurt but how to heal the wounds inflicted on you and be free. We all know that forgiveness is a very challenging act, especially when the person who hurt you refused to admit his/her wrong, or when you trust that person so much.you must also accept the fact that you are not perfect and you also have in one way or the other hurt someone or betrayed someone's trust. Like the Bible says do to others what you want them to do to you,so we should learn to forgive others so that we can also gain forgiveness both from God and our fellow man. One thing we don't seem to recognize is that we that refuse to forgive is actually the person bearing more pain. I remember when a girl was living with us and she offended me unknowingly to her and I started harbouring hatred and grudges towards her, but,I was the one hurting more because whenever I see her my heart will skip a bit and I won't be comfortable around her and I didn't get over this until I came plainly and told her about it. Sometimes the person who hurt you might not even be aware of his/her wrong doings, so we should be able to tell someone of their wrong so as not to be repeated again. Everyone knows that our inner world is badly disrupted when someone hurt us,it's difficult you concentrate on anything other than our pain and turmoil.when we hold onto hurt, we are emotionally and cognitively hubbled, and our relationships suffer. The only medicine for healing internal wounds is forgiveness.working on forgiveness can help us increase our self-esteem and give us a sense of inner strength and safety. 8 keys to forgiveness: 1) Know what forgiveness is and how it matters. 2) Become forgivingly fit. 3)Address your inner pain. 4) Develop a forgiving mind through empathy. 5)Find meaning in suffering. 6)When forgiveness is hard call upon your inner strengths. 7) forgive yourself. 8) Develop a forgiving heart. Let's all learn to forgive Don't forget to like and leave a comment...thanks allot.

"Hasty decisions leads to regrets". There's a saying that when a man makes hasty decisions out of anger there's a very disastrous outcome.this saying is very true because I have seen many cases and scenario of this happenings. We must all learn to control our anger always, and not to act out of anger, though people do and say things that stir up our anger but we must learn to think before acting. I know it's really difficult but we must cultivate the attitude of being patient, sometimes me myself I do act out of anger and I end up regretting after thorough and proper rethink.. Some people do not mean to hurt you but they just do it out of ignorance.. We should learn to do a proper check up before acting and ask questions before concluding because it's a necessary precaution to taking the right decisions.. I like backing my article up with a story so I would like to share a story on how a man acted without asking questions or thinking about the repercussion: A couple was happily married and for 8years they had no issue and this was their only challenge that whenever they thought of it,it makes them unhappy, though they were lots of pressure on the man to take a second wife but he bluntly refused because he loved his wife so much that he didn't want to hurt her. They had the belief that at God's time they will have their own children because God's calendar is not man's calendar. On the 9th years of no issue, the man coming back from work on a Wednesday saw his wife walking down the road with a man holding his hands tightly and he was not happy about it, but when he got home he refused to ask her who the guy he saw her with early was,he just kept silent about everything. Two weeks later the man offered to drop her at home on his way home , and coincidentally her husband didn't go to work that day because he was giving a day off, so when she came down, the man gave her a peck on her cheek and said "I love you dear". The husband on seeing this was so furious and the glass which he was using to drink water fell from his hands and broke, when his wife entered she ran towards him and wanted to give him a hug as usual but he pushed her on the floor and she fell, few seconds later when the man realised that she hasn't gotten up he looked down and saw his wife in a pool of blood with a note in her hands which says: My husband I am carrying your seed which you planted in me which is a set of twins (a boy and a girl), the man you always see me with is my elder brother who I lost contact with for years now,and was reunited with him when I went to his hospital for check up. Ever since then I have been going to see him regularly, I decided to share this good news with you over a sumptuous Dinner this evening and I also invited my brother over so you can both be acquainted with each other. I love you honey.... Immediately he finished reading the note on his hands he heard a Knock on the door and when he opened, the man he saw introduced himself as the elder brother to his wife and after saying that the young man looked and saw his sister in her own pool of blood immediately she was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately the babies died and she lost her womb as well, and will not be able to carry a child again. When the news was broken to the husband,he fell on his knees and sobbed quietly wishing he had never acted out of anger or he had asked his wife questions before acting. Hope we all learnt a very valuable lesson from this brief story so I urge you all to think and ask questions first before acting because acting out of anger can lead to regrets and had I Know... Pls like, comment and subscribe thank you all once again.

"Patience is a flower that doesn't grow in every garden". Patience is like a flower that grows slowly. Are they people who can wait for it??? It is difficult to say that patience is a flower that grows in every garden because not all gardeners plants all types of flower.so not everyone can develop the act of being patient. This also means that patience is a golden virtue that cannot be handled by everyone. The emotional and spiritual reward of Patience are diminished by our reluctance to allow patience develop slowly overtime.people tend to get results right away. We are not tolerant of someone's character, but want others to tolerate ours, like the golden rule states "Do unto others what you want them to do unto you". Anticipating and waiting are key parts on the process of developing the virtue (patience). Frequent question that pops up today in our society is "I just did this where is my reward or is my work Futile"??? Patience is like planting a rose flower. When you plant, the first thing is to allow them grow and nurture them to their ultimate size, then, and only then, can you redirect their energy from growing to producing rose blooms.so it is likened to patient.... Patience is not grown and developed just once but it takes time and due process but when it is all grown to a full stage it begins to yield fruits and evidences begins to bloom.i will like to share a story on the reward for being patient: Two best friends(Tayo and Bayo) graduated from the same university the Same year and and course as well with very good grades. They were both searching for jobs but all their efforts yielded no result, so they became frustrated and didn't Know what to do. On a faithful day Bayo met his childhood friend Frank and Frank was so rich and spent money like they were just piece of paper,so Frank gave bayo his credit card and told him to call him.On getting home Bayo told Tayo about who he encountered on his way back. So the next day Bayo called Frank and he was told to come visit him with his friend Tayo. When they got to Frank's house they were marvelled at what they saw, he was living like a president. They were asked to sit on the couch and wait for him to come downstairs, on Frank's arrival they narrated their ordeal to him and he told them not to worry, that he can be of help to them but they will work for it by themselves,he asked them if they were ready for anything they nodded in agreement.he told them what he did to get his money and they left without saying a word because Frank told them to go home and ponder over it and come back to give a reply. On getting home Tayo refused to do it but Bayo was so desperate on making money so he agreed and went back to meet Frank. On their first operation to rob a rich politician who just came back from the u.s(United States),they were caught and arrested. Weeks later, Tayo got a call from one of the company they both submitted their c.v to and he was told that he and his friend Bayo should come for an interview but unfortunately Bayo was in the prison so he went for the interview and ended up getting the job. When he went to visit Bayo he narrated everything to him and Bayo started to weep and wished he he could turn back the hands of time but it was already too late... Indeed patience really pays off, there Is a saying that the patience dog eats the fattest bone, so we should learn to be Patient no matter what because we never know what plan God has in store for us... Pls like, leave your comments and subscribe as well....thanks allot..

FAMILY The common definition of a family is a group of people that may be made up of partners, children, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, grandparents... family is a group of people who share common ancestors... We have two types of family which include: The nuclear family and the extended. The nuclear family:this is made up of just the father, mother and their children... The extended family:this is made up of the father, mother, children, grandparents, uncle's Aunty's niece, cousins These are the normal and common understanding of a family.. But have we for once consider to look further and deeper into the word family??? I will like to share the few ideas I have about a family.. A family is not just only made up of father, mother, children and other relative but it is a way of getting a better understanding about life,it is the first chain of socialization.. Whatever happens in a family affects a child and reflect in his/her life and character... If you make a child feel depressed he will always act depressed,if you as a parent fight with your partner on a daily basis that poses a bad image to your child about Marriage... My friend normally tells me that she doesn't want to get married,at first I thought it was just a mare child's mentality but it became too often and serious,so I decided to call her and ask her why she said such repeatedly,at first she refused telling me but after much persistence she opened up and told me of how her parents always fight countless number of times each day for little or no reason... At that point i felt really bad and felt sad on hearing her story... So I exposed her to the secrets of a family and told her that this only happens when you get married to the wrong person. though tough times may come up, there might be quarrels and fight, but, it shouldn't be exposed to the children because they watch parents like a television... So I tried convincing her that all Marriages are not the same, and one shouldn't be used to judge others... Family is also a means of learning because when u nurture a child in a particular way the child grows up with such mentality and become used to it,that he/she cannot be convinced otherwise by peers or friends... Parents should educate their children on the dangers of making the wrong decisions and following the wrong set of friends... Train up a child in the way he/she should grow and when he/she grows he will not depart from it...

Goal setting Goal setting is the act of selecting a target or objective you wish to achieve and attain.. Goal setting is a very powerful process for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn your vision of the future into reality. The process of setting goals help you choose where you want to go in life.. Make your goal specific when setting goals, they should answer the highly specific questions of who, what, when and why. For each specific goal you make, you should ask yourself if it is a goal and how it helps your life advance.. We have various type of goals which include; 1)Lifetime goal: this is a type of goal achieve overtime, it's a future version of yourself and the picture of what you will like to become and what you wish to achieve... 2)long term goals:these are goals set for a particular period of time..it is a long term goal.. they have specific time limits like 5years or 10years... 3)short term goals:these type of goals are achieved under a short period of time like one month, six months or a year 4) stepping stone goals:these are goals that help you achieve your desired goal by making a budget on how to fulfill your set down goals . But in all of these goals achievement, determination is very necessary, because without being determined you will not achieve your goal...Each of these goals differs based on the control we exert over it. Five steps to goal setting: Step 1:define what you want(goal). Step2: find congruence. Step 3: Do an ecology check. Step 4:Develop a blueprint. Step 5:Draw up a plan of action. Note:when you set goals, the time you set to achieve the goal makes a big difference in the type of goal. We must set our goals and achieve those set goals as mapped out...

Love LOVE!! LOVE!! LOVE!! I love you, do you love me??,how much do you love me??you are the love of my life, I don't know where I would have been without your love...These are just mare statements if the word LOVE is not adequately understood... First of all...what is LOVE?? LOVE has numerous meanings but I will define LOVE as the most spectacular, indescribable, deep, euphoric feeling for someone, LOVE encompasses a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states. The word LOVE has been abused by countless number of persons in out society today... You see a case whereby a lady is bitterly bruised by her husband or fiancee who claims to love and care for her. Do u call that love???NO!!! These four Letter words LOVE is a very Gigantic word...now let's see four different meanings of the acronym love!!! 1)L-life O-offers V-valuable E-experience 2)L-listen O-observe V-visualise E-express 3)L-living O-outside V- various E- experience 4)L-lots O-of V-violent E-emotions As we can see from the above meaning of love, that we live out our various experience, they say experience is the best teacher... Listen, observe, visualize and express our feelings. LOVE is a very sweet experience and at the same time a bitter one. When you love someone and later on that person hurts you, you find it difficult to let go... Do you Know that you find it easier to forgive a random person than someone you love??this is so because you have nurtured the feeling of love towards them and anything they do hurts you deeply. The two basic types of love are; parental and Romantic feeling of love. The parental love is a type of love shown by parents towards their children, parents provide care for and protect their children because they love them likewise, children become Fond of their parents because they have grown to love them as well. That takes us further to the romantic love which indeed is very broad...It is an intense feeling of deep affection and an enacted emotion..most times people claim to love someone just because of the bodily benefit and pleasure which is that love is more that just sex. We all know that sex has allot of benefits to human but that shouldn't be the basis for any relationship!!! We seem to forget that trust, understanding, commitment, love, attention are very Paramount in a relationship because these virtues makes relationship stand firm and last longer. Relationship is not just something you rush into, it is nurtured, built, grown overtime. Yes they say love at first sight exist and it's real, I don't argue with that fact but you shouldn't just fall in love with someone based on their looks because the outward appearance can deceive us into making wrong choices and decisions, therefore, we should get to know the person better, his/her characters, if you will be able to cope with it or not... Yes I know that as humans we are not perfect but there should be a good virtue found in you that attracts your partner towards you. There are times when argument, fights arise but this is just to build up the relationship because no relationship is 100%perfect, every relationship has it's flaws. But the most important things are understanding and trust. Yes,appearance does Matter Allot.but, how do you feel when you have a beautiful wife or fiancee who cannot cook, wash your clothes or perform her duties as a woman. Conclusively I urge the youths and all others not to be deceived by appearance but should look for a virtuous partner who is capable and able. Love does conquer all...

Friendship What is friendship? Everyone has his or her view of friendship. Some say it's when someone knows you in and out others say it's a feeling of love towards someone. But I will say that friendship is a feeling of mutuality between persons. Friendship cannot be complete if the persons involved do not have mutual understanding amongst themselves. friendship has a distinctive characteristic trait because those you call your friends will always stand by you both in stormy and calm times , they never lead you astray or towards the wrong paths and directions, They have your best interest at heart, but, people seem to get the wrong view of friendship, thinking it's some random word thereby misusing this word "friendship". Friendship has lots of things and meaning encoded in it. if you call someone your friend, you will be able to let go of certain wrongs done by that person and overlook them because there's a saying that no human is perfect.... There is a powerful word that must be inculcated in every existing Friendship, without this word friendship is meaningless. Many friendship lack the word trust!!! Trust is a grassroot for a solid friendship because, when you trust a person you never have any reason to doubt him/ her. For instance if someone tells you that your friend was involved in a fight, you will be able to vouch for the person because u know the person in total... Friendship is not just something you build up in a day, it is a gradual process that involves you getting to know your partner overtime. Let's not forget that anything that has a positive side also has a negative one.... That brings us to the positive and negative friendship impact.... Some group of people move with the wrong set of friends which influence them negatively while others move with the right set of friends.... There is a saying that by their fruits you shall know them!!! So, negative investment yields negative harvest likewise positive investment yields position harvest...you cannot give what you do not have... so therefore let us be very cautious careful and wise in choosing those who we call our friends because your friend can also become our worst nightmare!!!!!
