pakistan football article When it comes to the beautiful game in Pakistan, the Green Shirts lack funds, popularity, ambition and motivation. Pakistani international and former Fulham player Zesh Rehman has criticised the lack of support for overseas-based players, saying they were often perceived as scapegoats for the team’s poor performances. India may not exactly be a giant at football but at least fans in the country are ‘treated’ to regular articles in the international media asking just why that is and when it will end. Pakistan don't even get that. When it comes to the beautiful game, this beautiful land may as well not exist for all the attention it gets. The limit of the national team’s ambitions at the moment is the South Asian Football Federation Cup in September but few are confident that the Green Shirts will get their hands on the trophy in Nepal. Of the nine editions played so far, India have won six, Maldives, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have all triumphed once but Pakistan have still to even reach the final. Preparations are not going well. So much so, that, at the time of writing, there are not really any preparations at all. “We need a large number of international matches, which will give players need international experience and confidence,” Pakistan’s national team coach Zavisa Milosavljevic said. “We need to create unity and a sense of belonging.” The Serbian is beginning to realise that it is easier said than done. A planned mini-series in June at Fulham’s Craven Cottage in London with India and Bangladesh has been cancelled. It’s a familiar refrain. In 2011, a similar event scheduled to take place in three British cities also never happened. They could have been meaningful matches for UK-born Pakistani international Zesh Rehman. After all, the well-travelled defender played for Fulham in the Premier League. Now in Hong Kong with Kitchee, he doesn’t expect to be back in England any time soon. “I'm not surprised in the least that the games have been cancelled again in the UK,” Rehman said. “The federation seems to want to minimise spending money. They need to see the bigger picture and not just think about the short term. Unfortunately as a football nation we are lagging behind in South Asia which is not the most competitive level in Asia.” Improving the local league, with its poor facilities and standards, would help. Rumours of a football copy of cricket’s Indian Premier League, teams full of stars and showmen, seem fanciful though fantasy is understandable when you look at the reality. The government runs the best teams such as champion Khan Research Laboratories. Such set-ups and names lack appeal for fans and private investors, two groups that are largely absent with many attendances struggling to run into three figures. Unsurprisingly, broadcasters are not that interested either. Security problems, especially in football-loving Balochistan, don’t help. Having the league squeezed into four months means that players’ fitness levels suffer and the few fans there are lose interest. “The league should be professional,” noted Milosavljevic. “We should play two half-seasons and championship matches should be played for an audience and fans and play only on weekends.” The lack of foreign imports in the league is another problem according to Rehman. “The likes of India, Bangladesh, Nepal and the Maldives have foreign players in their local leagues and when Pakistan follows suit that will help. However the longer it is left the way it is the football will stand still and will gradually become less and less competitive even in South Asia.” What Pakistan does have are players like Rehman, born overseas with European experience. Afghanistan has an increasing Diaspora that helped the team reached the final of the 2011 of the South Asian Cup. Yet in Pakistan the international stars are not always welcomed by the folks back home. Mohammad Essa, the best-home grown player of recent years has been consistent in his criticism of how the foreign stars arrive late for training camps and are not as committed as the home-grown heroes. It rankles Rehman. “It’s normal in football to look for scapegoats so it’s not a huge surprise the foreign-based players will get the blame so the local lads don't lose face. The reality is the local players are nowhere near good enough or tactically aware enough to improve the FIFA rankings significantly.” Milosavljevic believes the PFF should “fight” for these foreign-born players. The Serbian is under pressure after the Green Shirts failed to qualify for the AFC Challenge Cup, a competition reserved for developing football nations, losing to Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in March. He needs good results at the South Asian Cup or his contract may not be renewed when it ends in November. “I am an optimist by nature. In previous matches, Pakistan had competitive and recognisable games and it gave us hope. Our main goal is always to win.” For the moment, even the summit of South Asia looks distant. Anything else is still a dream. The team fails to get anywhere near qualification for the Asian Cup, never mind the global tournament. Rehman’s evaluation is probably more optimistic than most. “To qualify for a World Cup will take twenty years and there needs to be a complete overhaul of the whole football system.” (John Duerden has lived in Asia for over a decade and writes about Asian football for a variety of international and local media including ESPN, Associated Press, The Guardian, 442, New York Times, Fox Sports, Sports Illustrated & International Herald Tribune)

Mahira, Malala and Maryam M is for Mahira, Malala and Maryam It all started with allegations of sexual harassment levelled against Hollywood hotshot producer Harvey Weinstein. Then came the #MeToo movement on social media. This saw more than 50 actresses and those working in other areas of the film industry come forward; opening up about similar experiences at the hands of the now fallen-from-grace movie mogul. It soon went viral; travelling around the world. Suddenly, women everywhere, from different walks of life, were seizing the opportunity to share their stories. It is indeed a sad indictment of our times that despite all the awareness about women’s rights, our increasing contributions to every field, not to mention our determination to succeed — we still face violent threats to our security in terms of rape and harassment. So effective a tool is social media and so inspiring has the #MeToo campaign proven that it has been embraced by women here in Pakistan. In a society not lacking in religious and cultural taboos — many women silently bear the burden of crimes committed against them, all so their families are not defamed and they themselves are not questioned or, even worse, blamed for what has happened to them. https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/metoo?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZVY_pdXMjQN_v6UFof9MigUmLyWtuOiNiry6uNJad1NjfRDmAQrG5x2vFU25ENXq3pHlySmwMKGf6Ry3iLTaPGo3anm65JtcwAcjvSTj-dRQQt_IrWZ6Az7xmpgOKByhqWXccIZhwld2SbhH9-fS7Gml6iSf95LPLKWHDoFmNx-Qhi2OsPan5VL3LhDXO9h9R0&__tn__=*NK-R Thus when Pakistani women stand up and share, discuss or debate sexual harassment this is in itself a commendable move; one that not only shows courage but also a willingness to speak out. Yet while social media is an essential platform when it comes to raising awareness it also has a dark side. And it is where we see women malign — another M word — other women. Unfortunately, trolling has become a favourite way to pass time here in Pakistan. First, it was the actress Mahira Khan. Whilst filming in a foreign country, she took a short break. She did what thousands of people do everyday without a second thought: she took time out for a cigarette with a colleague. However, things are never that simple. Not when the latter happens to be Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor. Are we suggesting that Mahira crossed international borders to simply dress a little less conservatively. Have none of us seen how women here dress at various social gatherings or red carpet events? Pakistani women are increasingly wearing what they want to because it’s their prerogative Tongues immediately started wagging, as they have a tendency to do. Almost immediately came the paparazzi snaps of the pair with such salacious taglines as: ‘Mahira and Ranbir caught red-handed, Mahira exposed’. Yet there is some truth in the old adage about a picture speaking a thousand words. Meaning they both looked rather bored, looking in opposite directions; clearing wrapped up in their respective nicotine fixes. In other words, hardly the stuff of a scandal. The second problem was not so much with whom Mahira was smoking — but just the fact that she was enjoying a sneaky cigarette. Yet here is where things become a little unclear. For although, generally speaking, women smoking is frowned upon in Pakistan — many go ahead in any case. Naturally, there will be judgements but it is not exactly a red line. And as far as the images of Mahira go, she appears relaxed. Therefore everyone would do well to let it go. And then, the third issue is that her outfit has been described as rather revealing. But what exactly are we suggesting? That she has crossed international borders to simply dress a little less conservatively. But what are talking about? Have none of us seen how women here in this country dress at various social gatherings or red carpet events? Pakistani women are increasingly wearing what they want to because — well, why not — it’s their prerogative. They are only answerable to themselves, their religious beliefs and, at times, their families. There may well be a fine line between right and wrong. Yet its exact position is seen differently by everyone. What may be saintly to some may appear blasphemous to others. The tragedy, however, is this: instead of proudly sharing photos of a young Pakistani woman who is going places in her career — we are only interested in trying to shame her. Even Malala Yousafzai has not been spared. Now studying at Oxford University, she committed the cardinal sin of walking down the street in a pair of jeans. Facebook users wasted no time in accusing her of becoming westernised; of forgetting her values and of being two-faced and all the rest of it. Never mind that she was covered from top to toe and even had a scarf over head. Indeed, being the daughter of a former Prime Minister is not sufficient to grant immunity when it comes to having one’s wardrobe policed by those ever vigilant cyber warriors. Of course, Maryam Nawaz is no naïf when it comes to using social media to her political advantage. But that really doesn’t justify the manufactured outrage upon hearing of how she may have dared to wear western clothes while visiting her mother in a London hospital. Her detractors appear to expect her, regardless of where she might be, to dress like the archetypical Pakistani woman politician. And to them, this means nothing less than a long-sleeved shalwaar-kameez complete with dupatta over the head. Thus it is a serious no-no to even think of venturing out in a jacket and trousers without a full-face of make-up. This is about more than a handful of people disapproving of certain actions. It seems to have reached epidemic proportions. And the most alarming thing is how so many are willing to blindly jump on the bandwagon. Without a second thought; without wanting to put themselves, even momentarily, into someone else’s shoes. Thus is everyone reduced to mere entertainment fodder. And as they chomp down on the latter — their independence of thought flies out of the window. Meaning that they simply parrot others’ words. Thus when a twenty-something year-old girl from Pakistan’s tribal areas makes waves abroad — they can’t help but smell something fishy; accuse her of ‘foreign’ backing; and when happening upon a snap of her going about her daily business, they can barely contain their sheer glee as they clap their hands and shriek: “see, we told you!” And now, allow me, if you will, to make the most of a little alliteration. #MeToo may be a momentous movement — but maligning others is not. Let us show some mercy towards Mahira, Malala and Maryam. Let us drop the question of female modesty and recognise these women for what they are: adults free to make their own decisions. If we are looking for something to do, we could always hold up a mirror to ourselves. Let us all make our New Year’s resolutions a little early and vow to be moderate and serious. To be mild-mannered and supportive. In short, let us learn to live and let live. https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/metoo?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZVY_pdXMjQN_v6UFof9MigUmLyWtuOiNiry6uNJad1NjfRDmAQrG5x2vFU25ENXq3pHlySmwMKGf6Ry3iLTaPGo3anm65JtcwAcjvSTj-dRQQt_IrWZ6Az7xmpgOKByhqWXccIZhwld2SbhH9-fS7Gml6iSf95LPLKWHDoFmNx-Qhi2OsPan5VL3LhDXO9h9R0&__tn__=*NK-R The writer is a senior media professional with experience in Broadcast Journalism. what lies beyond human perfection?

good effect by running on body 1. Improves your Productivity for the Day Ever heard the saying that the early bird catches the biggest worm?  Well, it turns out that a morning run will help you keep “catching worms” throughout the day.  This is because exercise gives you both mental and physical stimulation.  It not only increases your alertness but also helps you get out of bed at the right time. After a good run, there is more endorphin and adrenaline flowing through the body.  This results in an exquisite feeling called “runner's high" which can last for hours after you finish your workout. 2. Improves Heart Health Want to reduce the risk of **heart disease** by almost half?  A five-minute run every day is what stands between you and a lower risk of cardiovascular disease. Research shows that runners have a 27% lower risk of early death and a 30% lower risk of death from cardiovascular problems.  This is true for all runners, no matter how fast they run or for how long. https://www.lifeline24.co.uk/coronary-heart-disease-a-useful-guide/ By all accounts, running helps you stay healthier and live longer.  What's not to like? 3. Jump-starts your Metabolism One of two things happens to the food we eat.  It can either be consumed by the body as a source of energy, or it can be stored up as fat.  If you are looking to keep fit or trying to lose some weight, you don't want your body to store up fat. In this case, you should start running in the morning before you have breakfast.  This is because, after a workout, your body uses a meal to restore itself rather than storing it up.  What's more, a morning jog will boost your metabolism, helping your body burn calories all through the day.  It also means that you will likely feel hungry after you finish, making you less likely to skip the most important meal of the day. 4. Better Joint Health There was a time when people thought that running was bad for your joints. However, recent studies have shown that runners are actually less likely to develop joint problems.  The reason for this is that runners are likely to be fit and to carry less weight thus reducing the amount of strain on the joints. Running in the morning has also been linked to better and developed muscle strength which helps reduce the chances of **osteoarthritis**. https://www.lifeline24.co.uk/arthritis/ 5. Improved Mental Health Running has a very positive impact on your mental health.  You can view a morning run as an investment in your body.  This creates a sense of self-worth and achievement.  Running outside is particularly helpful, as it gives you time to take in the beautiful sights of nature.  The earlier you run, the more you will notice, since there won't be many people or cars around. 6. Improved Sleep If you are one of those people who tosses and turns for a long time before getting to sleep, you need to consider running.  Studies show that people who work out in the morning spend more time in deep sleep than those who work out in the afternoon or evening. An additional barrier to good sleep is lack of routine.  After a few days of getting up early to run, you will start to feel tired earlier in the evening.  Once you build a routine of going to bed and waking up at the same times each day, your sleep will improve. 7. Helps to Create Consistency Have you ever planned to exercise in the evening only to get home too tired?  Running in the morning enables you to ensure you get your essential workout without postponing.  It also helps you free up your evenings for socialising and relaxation.

benenfits of peanut butter If you thought that peanut butter sandwiches were only for kids, here’s something you should know. Peanut butter has several health benefits — it has the enviable combination of fibre and protein, which makes it filling. This makes you feel full longer, so you end up eating less overall. It is also packed with nutrition because a serving of peanut butter has 3 mg of the powerful antioxidant vitamin E, 49 mg of bone-building magnesium, 208 mg of muscle-friendly potassium, and 0.17 mg of immunity-boosting vitamin B6. Studies have also shown that having peanuts can reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and other types of chronic health conditions. One study even found that consuming one ounce of nuts or two tablespoons of peanut butter about five times a week can lower the risk of developing diabetes by a whopping 30%. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/life-style/health-fitness/10-exercises-to-lose-weight-in-10-minutes/from-fat-to-fit-in-10-minutes/photostory/58490883.cms

bennefits of drinking water **It may improve memory and mood** **Research** has shown that even mild dehydration can impair memory and **mood** in everyone from **children** to the elderly. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4207053/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22716932 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22841529 **It can help reduce sugar cravings and aid weight maintenance** The brain can’t actually tell the difference between hunger and thirst, so often we can mistake thirst as a ‘sugar craving’. The next time you feel the need for something sweet, try drinking a glass of water first. Staying hydrated may also help with weight maintenance. **Research** has shown that having water before a meal may fill you up more and therefore promote weight loss by **eating less at the meal**. This is also true in a **2015 study** that swapped diet drinks for water. The results showed this may lead to greater weight reduction and also improved insulin resistance. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19661958 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17228036 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26537940 **It may improve exercise performance** There has been a lot of **research** into the effects of hydration or dehydration in athletes, and the results all pretty much conclude that dehydration not only affects **sports performance** but also **physiological function** too. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19675477 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20210618 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22024610 **It may reduce headaches and migraines** A lack of water may increase the risk of a **headache** or **migraines** in some individuals. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14979888 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15953311 **It may help prevent constipation in children and adults** Water helps to ‘keep things moving’ in the digestive system, and so staying hydrated can help prevent constipation in **children**, adults and **the elderly**. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28450053 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10910239 There is some evidence that **fizzy water** may be of particular benefit too. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21551998

closure of k electric football team pakistan Closure of K Electric Football Team. A moment of worry (Zar Khan Baloch) Another Jati Football team in Karachi has been shut down. Which is a question mark for the future of players associated with the K Electric team but also the lack of another departmental team for employment for young players in Karachi in future. Another door closed forever. This football opponent act is less condemned. There is no doubt that the closure of the K Electric team is a moment of concern for all of us and especially for the responsibilities of Pakistan Football Federation. There was a time when parents were their children. He was happy to be a footballer because he knew that his children would definitely be employed in any government department through football. In those days, there was a lot of teams in Karachi and football. Every second player used to be a part of some departmental team. Pak PWD, Sindh Govt Press, Karachi Water Board, K, MC, Paku, KDA. These were the departmental teams of football players. Lye used to play the role of nursery and then from the same teams through their best performance KPT. With big teams like Habib Bank, MCB, KESC, House Building Finance Corporation, National Bank, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Railways, and PIA, these players would have succeeded in making their place in the Pakistan National Team. This era was definitely a golden era of football in Karachi. In the last few years, most of the sealed teams associated with Karachi have been closed and employment sources for players have been not created. Due to which most players belonging to football clubs are forced to work in some factory or elsewhere. As I said before, parents expressed great joy in the past periods when their children were active in the football field but today the tragedy is that even big former international footballers forbid their children from playing football. Are because they know well that their children have no future in football. Now the question arises how so many departmental teams of football were shut down and what are the reasons and factors of the closure of the K Electric team. These are the questions that directly belong to the head of government responsible for the departmental teams. It is also made from football responsible and stakeholders who are engaged in the battle of chair and options instead of focusing on the development of football and the better future of footballers, for the departmental teams. Couldn't succeed in giving the programs that these departments needed now if there wasn't a football event all year, how will these departments show interest in maintaining these teams and salutes the players without any performance How will they pay. The rulers of this country should not be imposed on football anyways. And the oil work on this burning is being done by the football stakeholders who have gone so far in the war of their interests by making football politics that the matter has reached to politics and character of each other Now K Electric's On the closure of the team, big religious statements by the footballers will be the zeenat of the news and strong protests will also be in front of the press club. The slogans of the football enmity of the K Electric administration will also be raised. But what was the result? Ga nothing. Now it is a matter of thinking and understanding that today's electric team has been closed in these bad circumstances, and if our behavior did not change and we did not correct our Qibla and we kept on messing with each other for the sake of our ego. So the day isn't far when the remaining Guinea Chani Department teams will be closed and then maybe there will be a situation where none of our children are ready to play football

food which should be included in atheletes diet 1. Eggs Rocky didn't just chug down a glass of wholesome raw eggs because he likes the taste. Just like Hollywood's most famous boxer, eggs should be somewhere near the very top of every footballer's to-eat list. Primarily, eggs are a great source of protein, supporting your muscle repair after a game. This is supported by a healthy dose of essential amino acids, including high levels of leucine, which has been shown to be a dominant amino acid in repairing muscle. As well as this, the fats in eggs have been shown to lower blood cholesterol. They also contain the vitamins choline and bethane for brain development and function and feelings of happiness. The best part? Eggs, when compared to other high sources of protein, are remarkably cheap. 2. Spinach Spinach is one of the original superfoods. Thanks to it's effects on everyone's favourite comic strip sailor Popeye (which may not be entirely accurate), spinach has (rightfully) taken it's place as one of thee foods to eat for sports performance. Thanks to it's richness in iron, spinach has a number of positive effects on the quality of your blood. Off the back of that, spinach will have a significant effect on restoring energy levels and increasing vitality – two important factors on the road to recovery in sport. Elsewhere, eating leafy greens regularly has been shown to decelerate mental deterioration and improve mental focus. Leafy greens in general are full of those delightful benefits, but kale, Swiss chard and romaine lettuce are all viable alternatives. Plus, with high levels of iron as well as vitamins A and K which help reduce inflammation, improve bone health and reduce feelings of fatigue, spinach is just a must eat for any performance-conscious footballer. 3. Beetroot This little wonder veg is a tasty addition to most bistro style salads, but the health benefits can include a reduction in inflammation, speeding up the recovery process as well as energising performance, speed and mental focus (just watch out for their staining qualities on your clothes). Plus, it can even provide you with a handy boost in stamina. How? Nitrates. These natural chemicals change into nitric oxide in the body, reducing the cost of oxygen for low-intensity workouts and increasing tolerance for high-intensity exercise. You can try them pickled or roasted from raw form to eat like chips. 4.Oily fish Fish like salmon are full of healthy fats such as Omega 3. Especially effective at reducing inflammation in the body, Omega 3 can help you recover, allowing you to train harder and more regularly. https://www.pitchero.com/blog/conditioning-for-football Some of the other health benefits of oily fish include reductions in anxiety and stress, improve risk factors for heart disease, improve your immune system and improve bone and joint aches. It's also full of protein which is important to help repair muscle and recover after training. Eating oily fish twice a week is one of the best ways to ensure optimal Omega 3 intake, but it's not your only option. Broccoli (more on those mini green-trees of superbness later) and walnuts are also good sources of omega 3. 5. Blueberries Blueberries have recently taken their place as a esteemed member of the superfood elite. Not only are they so damn tasty, but they should also now take their place in your essentially post-match recovery diet. And understandably so, they not only contain anti-oxidants that can protect your body from the effects of free-radicals (that are produced from training) and aid recovery; studies have also been conducted that link blueberries to good mental health and inhibit the growth of fat cells. To round off the benefits of these epic small berries, they also contain Vitamins C and K which can help you feel energised, protect and repair bones and protect from infectious diseases. 6. Avocados Speaking of trendy superfoods, avocados is surely the absolute king. These green, stone-containing fruits are a great source of fibre which is needed for a healthy gut and can contribute to weight loss. They're also packed full of good quality fats that can keep you healthy and keep your body functioning. Take a deep breathe, but here's a list of the nutrients you'll get some chowing down on an avocado: Vitamins K, Folate, Vitamin C, Potassium, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, zinc, phosphorous, Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2 and Vitamin B3. These nutrients provide many health benefits, such as: maintaining a healthy immune system, produce hormones and aid in normal growth and development – three vital factors to aiding recovery and boosting performance out on the football pitch. 7.Milk Milk! According to a small child it's exactly what legendary Liverpool footballer Ian Rush drinks (YouTube it if you have no idea what I'm referring to there) – and with good reason. Milk can become a vital part of your recovery; it's high levels of protein are important to muscle recovery and strengthening. Elsewhere, calcium is vital component to good, strong bones and teeth (not necessarily a sporting bonus...but we all like good teeth). Plus with plenty of carbohydrates, milk could become a part of your energy-storing pre-match routine. https://www.pitchero.com/blog/boosting-performance-with-perfect-match-day-preperation As if all that wasn't enough, milk is loaded with vitamins and minerals which can improve your hydration levels. When regularly consumed, all of these factors add up to an improved recovery rate, especially when drank after training when the need is high. 8. Quinoa Quinoa as a carbohydrate is a great substitute to pasta and rice as it is low on the GI scale, low in fat and high in fibre and protein (with a full essential amino acid profile). As a result, quinoa is often the the sporting carb of choice, especially pre training/competition. Quinoa still gives you all the sustained energy related benefits of other carbs such as rich and pasta, but does it without the heavy feeling in your stomach or long term effect on weight. It also has the added benefit of being totally gluten free! Swap in quinoa as a component to your pre-match meal. 9. Chia Seeds You'll be hard pressed to find a food that's so packed full of nutrients, yet comes with a form factor the size of the chia seed. They're high in a number of things you'll need for sports recovery and optimum performance, but contain little in the way of calorific content – making them a bonafide superfood. Chia seeds are high in Omega 3, fibre and calcium, and have a high amount of protein compared to other seeds. These little gems can be added to yoghurts and baking instead of any other seeds or in addition to them. 10. Broccoli Broccoli is in the same family as the leafy greens, but has some added vitamins and minerals that makes it a standalone super food. As with pretty much all the foods outlined here, broccoli contains a number of nutrients such as Vitamin C and folate, as well as Vitamins A, K, calcium and fibre. But it also provides a healthy dose of choline, which will help your mental concentration and focus during a game. Choline can also help to produce high quality results even when under the energy sapping pressures of ninety minutes of football. 11. Coconut Water Forgive us, but we're well aware that the water derived from a coconut isn't a food (in fairness, neither is milk). Still, it's benefits to your hydration levels before and after sporting activity cannot be ignored. Coconut water has come into foodie-fashion due to it being an all-natural source of vitamins and minerals which can be easily absorbed by the body and aid with hydration levels. A 2% drop in your body mass from the loss of water (sweating) can significantly lead to reductions in mental performance, so keep your eye on the prize and focus till the end of the game. Putting it all together: **Breakfast:** Greek yoghurt, 2 tbsp. Chia seeds, 1 scoop of whey protein, 1 handful of blueberries. **Snack:** 2 boiled Eggs. **Lunch:** Chicken breast with; Avocado, beetroot, spinach, Quinoa salad and a glass of coconut water. **Post-training:** Milk with a scoop of whey protein and a glass of coconut water. **Dinner:** Salmon, steamed broccoli, potatoes. If you don’t like any of the above, find out the active ingredients and see if you can get it from somewhere else, or in the MyProtein store. Just remember supplements should be used in conjunction with a healthy diet of whole foods, not instead of. **Any suggestions made in this blog are recommended as part of a healthy, balanced diet.*

Pakistan army wanted to cut out the road connected Srinagar to Leh and in that way eliminating Ladakh and Siachen a step that the Indian army never expected. The three months lasted war cost 500 hundred soldiers lives to India in an operation named Vijay. The number on the Pakistan side is between 400 to 4000 and the name given to the operation was Al-Badr. The Indian government put down the Pakistan proposal for talks when the situation got out of control on both sides of the border. India asked for an immediate evacuation of Pakistan back intruders from Kargil, a narrow condition for dialogue. Pakistan categorically rejected any involvement in the infiltration adding they were Kashmiri militants fighting Indian rules. Media on both sides were triggering the war in every possible way. Pakistan state television and conservative politicians were calling the intruders the true liberators of the Kashmir. The Indian newspapers were calling Pakistan a “rogue state”. The former ISI chief General Hamid Gul went to the extent of saying any deal with India would be the last nail in the coffin of the present government. Pakistan initially refused to acknowledge their involvement in the intrusion, but finally, they had to accept it. The war ended up India successfully pushing back Pakistan into the other side of the line of control. On tiger hill, Indian army buried 30 Pakistan army personnel. One of them was Captain Karnal Sher Khan. An Indian brigadier was very touched by the bravery of Sher khan. As Captain sher was killed in action, before sending the body to the Delhi brigadier M.P.S Bajwa urge his general commanding officer to write an appreciative letter in the citation of the bravery he showed in the field. He even put a praising note in his pocket which eventually led to get him the highest gallantry award Nishan-e-Haider. More than a hundred thousand people were displaced from Kargil Leh and Jammu. About 20000 people left their villages and only 30% of them returned. A 33 years old Zainab told BBC that our village Ganokh was caught in the fire we headed to skardu and then Islamabad. Thousands of civilians lost their homes, cattles, and other upkeep on both sides. But the Indian side was able to return to their homes. On Pakistan's side, the war victims are roaming around the country to find shelter. The Zainab’s family managed to find a hut in a slum located in Islamabad.
