My Hospital Childhood Experience because of this disease

When I was young, I was a sick kid. I always get a lot of fever and cold because i am thin. My parents always warn me to eat a lot and If I don't eat a lot, they said that I can easily catch a disease. When we are kid of course, we don't eat vegetables right? so I am a picky eater. I don't eat a lot of vegetables so that's the result why I am thin.

I can't forget my First time experience this kind of disease. This is my first time so I was very suffering and there is a Moment that I almost die because of it and I was in Elementary that time and I was Grade 4 when this was happened.

I was diagnose with the illness that I can't imagine that wil kill me that time. It is just the small thing, one bite but it can kill you and this is the Dengue, I have a Stage 4 dengue Fever that time and yes, it is true. It is because our school is very dark and there are a lot of big grasses where some Mosquito can live.

My Mother and Father thought that I just have a Fever that time. It is just a temporary and will not last long but it is always high and not get low. I also always crying because the feeling of having sick is not good and you know that.

I remember how they rush me to the hospital in that night because of how I look. I look pale and my mouth is almost white and I am hard of vomiting and my eyes can't open easily reason why My mom is worried to me so they already rush me to the hospital. They get a service which is my Uncle in Father side and he is a tricycle driver. I remembered how the tricycle sound in my ears and how my mom covered me with blanket because of cold.

They admit me to the Agoo Family Hospital which is located to Agoo, La Union and it is very little far away to our house because there is no Hospital in our Area or Center before.

• I am Scared of Needles

The first thing that they did to me is laying me in the bed and I just look in the ceiling and all i see are all white. I thought I was already in heaven that time. There is two Nurse that rushing to go to me and they did put a thermometer in my underarms. I was crying and call my mom because of fear when I saw a needles and I did not know what they called the thing that they put to your arm so that they can find your veins.

I am very scared that time and I am crying and the needle almost broke because of how I am stubborn. It makes me calm when the nurse told me that it is okay and the needle is just look like a bite of ant but I did not listen to her and cry. It is also hurt in the arms the dextrose.

• The room full of Kid suffering like me

I found a girl like me in my days of staying in the Hospital and her name is Tanya. How I forgot about her if she is very kind and she is always talking to me even if I don't talk to her. She is also diagnose in Dengue but unlike to me, I am more suffering unlike her. It is sad that looking around is very sad to look because the others are younger than me.

There are also some person who died in my eyes. I don't know but while looking to the deceased, It is making me sad because she is very young and she has a long way to go yet she did not experience more.

• Checking me everytime, take a lot of Medicines and take an inject

It making me more wants to go home when everytime there are some nurse and have a Doctor checking me. They also giving me a medicine and they also changing my dextrose if it's already empty. Tinurukan din nila ako ng ganon noon pero bag of Blood because I am lack of blood my Uncle donated his blood to me.

I am also very quiet because I can't talk and even sleepy that time because of the dextrose, medicine, and I am not feeling well.

• The Foods in the Hospital is very tasteless

Not because I am sick or I don't taste the food. But the food in the hospital is very tasteless. Their everyday meal is always vegetables and meat esp. fried chicken and they also include one fruit. However, their food is very tasteless but I still eat it because it is a waste if I don't eat and I don't like my Mom buying new food because my hospital bill is already costing a lot and I don't like My Parents give a hard time.

• Difficult and having a Hard time of sleeping

I having a hard time sleeping because of my Fever but I look to my Mom and she is having a Hard time sleeping in a difficult position too. She is just sleeping, sitting beside me so That when I needed something, She is just right there so she is became a reason why I already needed to recover because I don't like seeing my Mom in that kind of Position.

•Grandparents and Family Visiting

It is my First time experienced that my Family members visiting me with a pasalubong in their hands and that is Jollibee because it is my favorite food. They are worrying because of what they did just know and they are thankful that I am recovering better because my stage is not a joke and almost the reason to death.

I am very happy that they are visiting me that time even if I can't still stand and sit properly because of my tiredness so I don't have much time to talk to them.

•Having a Nice Nurse

My nurse during that Time is a very nice and kind. At first I am scared to her but she always pinch my check and she is also giving me a smile. It is just sad that my Nurse need to say goodbye because she is just a temporary nurse there. It is just a short period of time of being friends and I also think about her while writing this because I don't remember her name and I want to know if how she is now. She also give me a eraser that Sleeper shaped that time as her last gift to me and I use it in the school when I go back.

My Experience in the Hospital is very Not nice because of some Medicines that I needed to take and even the injections, The foods, and everything that make me suffer when I was sick just so I can heal. However, I must thank God because I survived to that kind of disease and If I am not, Maybe I am not here right now.

I am also thankful to the Doctors and Nurse because they took care of me and they heal me. And of course, to my Mom that is always in my side and did not let go of my Hand.

So you should eat a lot so that you will not get a diseases and so that you can be always healthy. Being in a Hospital and taking a life and death is very not easy. So you should be careful always.
