I am a little star

I am perhaps a little star among the millions of stars in the sky. I was just born because my lights are white. When I'm a little older, I'll be a blue light like the big stars around me. I shine alone in this great space. Nobody cares about me because I'm small. The thing is, I got really bored. Why don't other stars want to chat with me just because they've grown up? But I can find a lot to tell them. There is only one Moon who does not leave me alone, She is the only friend of all little stars. I heard that children all over the world also love Aydede. Sometimes he comes up to me and chats with me but not always, he has a lot of work too. Since the sun gets light from his uncle, he has to spend most of the day with him. At night he works to illuminate the world. Another quiet night. The stars are napping. Some are talking among themselves. I try to shine with all my might to be noticed more, but in vain because big stars shine brighter. What kid would notice me in this situation? I wish I could participate in the games of the children of the world. Now they are growing in the lap of a sweet sleep. It must have been pretty late, because almost all the houses have their lights off. I should get some sleep too. It's like a pair of eyes are looking at me from the window of a small house. Is that kid over there really looking at me? There are no other stars around me. I was far away from the other stars while I was thinking about something tonight. Then he must be looking at me. Yes, yes he is looking at me. I winked at him, he must have known I saw him. It's over, now there's someone who notices me too. I wish he was friends with me. I always tell him stories of twinkling stars.

Now he's waving at me. Now I'm sure he wants to be friends with me too, he. -Hello, what's your name? Oh my god, he wants to talk to me too. -My name is Junior. I mean, that's what people here call me, but my real name is Alpha. What is your name? -My name is Sule. -What a beautiful name you have. -You have a beautiful name too, Kid. Will you be my friend? -Of course I'm very happy about that. - Son, I love the stars so much. I always look out the window at night. You are so beautiful, bright. But you are always alone. Is there a problem? So even a small child in the world noticed my loneliness. The stars here did not notice. -It's not really a big deal, Sule. I'm just a bit of a star so others don't really care about me. -How so, are there big or small stars among the stars? Yes, we stars are born, grow up, grow old and die like humans. -No dear? -Yes, I was just born. We are not like you. It is formed by the compression of gases. When I grow up, I'll be a young star shining blue. Then, just as people change when they get older, my lights will turn yellow, red, and eventually orange when I get older. When I'm old, I'll be destroyed in a big explosion, but don't worry, all the pieces of me scattered into space will be a new star again. Such is life. -Understood. There is one more thing I've always wondered, while I've found you, let me ask you: Where do you disappear when the sun comes up, are you playing hide and seek like my mother said? -Actually, there is no such thing. We stay where we are. But you don't hear it in your place. The world is constantly spinning. When Uncle Sun's lights come to where you are, we are invisible from his lights. So our lights cannot reach you. -Do you know Sun? -Of course. He becomes my distant relative. He's actually a star, but he can't really take care of me because he's busy. -He's too big. You're all younger than him, aren't you? -No it is not. There are stars much bigger than Uncle Sun here, but they look very small because they are so far from Earth. Sometimes you can see them as a dot, but they are really huge. -I was really surprised. I thought you were all so small and so close to earth. Anyway, I should have gone to bed already. Thank you Junior for this pleasant conversation. Let me tell you one last thing, the sky would probably be very empty without you. Good luck to you. - Thank you, Sule. Good night. I'll wait for you here again tomorrow night.
