My Top 5 Favorite Foods
We all love to eat, don’t we? As for me, eating is my favorite activity haha. I can't deny that I'm a big foodie. It's obvious with my posts in noise.cash and other platforms.
Anyway, enumerating your top 5 favorite food is not easy. It’s like choosing your most favorites among your favorites. I’m torn between hundreds, lol.
If you saw me starving and you will ask me what do I want to eat, I’ll immediately think of typical unhealthy cravings like pizza, burger, burrito, fries, pasta, ice cream, et cetera. But these are just unhealthy apprentices, indulgent foods that’s once I’ve tasted, I don’t want to repeat. Probably because of guilt.
A basic full course meal consist of soup, appetizer, a main dish, and a dessert. It would be smooth if I choose top 5 in each category, right? Now I'm bargaining with myself. I'm the one who made the title so I'm thinking about changing my mind, lol.
I was so confused. So I asked my food buddy, my husband, what do I really fond to eat. He knows me better. He mentioned a lot, but I only picked five. So here are the foods that I could eat over and over again.
**5. Tuna**
Tuna is my favorite fish in the the whole world, and my favorite flavor too. Whenever I have to pick, for example what type of meat to use in sauces, viands, sandwiches or waffle fillings, if there’s tuna, I won’t think twice. It’s my bias and now that you know, it’s easy to feed me in case I would run into your house.
**4. Adobo**
Our national dish. It’s basically every Filipinos’ favorite. The combination of ingredients like vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, etc. is just distinctive. It’s not tiresome and when you have leftover, it is more delicious. I like chicken adobo more than pork. I remember, one time when I was on hypoallergenic diet, I was downhearted that everyone is enjoying chicken adobo. It's so hard to restrained myself from eating.
**3. Sinigang**
I always feel good whenever I slurp the hot, sour soup of sinigang. It's my comfort food whenever I feel under the weather. In addition, it’s always appetizing especially when it has lots of vegetables. My favorite meat for this dish is salmon head.
**2. Bangus Sisig**
Another sour food on my list. Have you noticed that my taste buds loves sour foods. I don’t know why. I guessed that’s how I developed GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease). Anyway, at first I really love Pork Sisig. I like the balance of sour, salty, and a little bit of sweetness. But when Filipino people created other version using other meat such as milkfish, it became my preference because it’s healthier. The best bangus sisig that I’ve ever tasted is the version of my brother-in-law @iyanpol12. Then, he taught us his recipe.
**1. Sushi**
The queen or king of all food for me. My stomach becomes bottomless for this. For me, it’s the most delicious, healthy, photogenic at any angle. I feel like I’m a professional photographer every time I take a photo of this Japanese dish. A complete meal with each piece because there’s meat, vegetable, fruit, rice. I prefer the round or typical roll presentation or the maki roll. I love to use chopsticks when eating it. Then, a deconstruction became a trend during this quarantine, the baked sushi. I absolutely loved it too.
There you go. I feel sorry for the other foods that I didn’t mention, especially the desserts. I think I’m gonna make a separate article for them hehe.
Wait! I feel like I just committed a sin to my stomach haha. I don't want the other foods to feel that I took them for granted, so here are the special mentions...
And many more...
Now you know my favorites. Here's my WARNING. Do not eat these.... without me! Okay?

The Genesis of EllenMos in read.cash
Hello everyone! My introductory post is overdue because of circumstances that have occurred to me and my family this past days. Now, I'm ready. Please allow me to introduce myself so that you will be acquainted with me.
I'm actually a happy camper of Noise.cash. I heard about this site from my friends there. I'm so happy to have another home, where I can write anything under the sun.
My real name is Ellen, not Moses (the writer of Genesis) haha. Whenever I start in a writing site, my title always have that word. You can ask my loyal followers.
My family and most of my friends call me by my name. However, my former colleagues named me "Lottie" ( from the famous anime series Princess Sarah) because aside from the fact that I'm petite, they say that I'm such a cry baby. But like Lottie, I can be brave when needed for my loved ones. In addition, we had a workmate, Sarah, that I'm very close with.
I'm a Registered Nurse in our country. But sadly, I'm no longer practicing my profession due to some health issues that have occurred last year. I stopped so that I can focus on my wellness. And for more than a year staying at home, I was able to discover and pursue my passion.
I'm 32 years old and happily married to my best friend. I turned into a real woman when we got married haha. What I mean is I became stronger, confident, responsible, and practical. But I'm still on my journey of discovering myself more.
**More facts about me:**
I'm a minimalist and I like to keep things simple. I've been adhering to this kind of lifestyle for 5 years.
I love listening to music and engaging myself in singing to relax. I can play the piano a little bit. And, I love to release my energy through dancing.
I'm developing my skills in photography, using my phone and some special lens.
I love reading books and other literatures (both printed and electronic). It greatly helps and improves my comprehension and vocabulary. That's why I decided to join here too.
I like to keep myself buy in doing things that I love especially organizing my stuffs. It sounds very odd but yes I'm obsessed with cleanliness and tidiness. It's my way to detach from anxiety and stress.
I also love cooking, especially for my husband. My recipe consists mainly Italian, Mediterranean, and Filipino dishes.
My favorite sports are table tennis and cycling.
I know how to operate sewing machine and make clothes. I also have tried cutting my mom’s hair during this pandemic, and the recent is carpentry. Girl Power!
These all for now. I don't know everything, but I'm not afraid to try new things and explore above my horizon. You will certainly know me better in my succeeding articles.

So I checked my wallet today, and the earnings of my my first post is gone 😭 I don't know what happened.
My First Post and My Quarantine Story
Good life to all Readers. This is my first article here. It should be my introduction but please just allow me to share what I’ve been through recently.
I’m so happy that I finally completed my 14-day quarantine. It was August 24 when I started manifesting a symptom, sore throat. Without a second thought, the first thing I did was I wore a mask. Then, I did every remedy I can think of to prevent it from getting worse. I gargled warm water with salt, oral antiseptic solution, sipped hot tea, doubled my vitamin C, and steam inhalation. When I noticed that it's getting worse and none of these are working, I decided to do self-isolation. Sharing is not caring at all when you are sick. I'm scared to get sick, but I'm more afraid of transmitting it. So, I stationed myself in my room. When I need to go out or use the bathroom, I double my mask and always sanitized everything that I touch or have direct contact with. In short, I acted like a surgeon to prevent spreading the disease, whatever it is.
I’m in our family house, until now. My husband wanted to go here and take care of me. But I didn’t allow him because the state of my health is uncertain. I don’t wanna drag him. But he wanted to help so I let him provide my needs to live and recover fast.
I felt so lonely and can’t help to think that maybe it’s Covid. I even asked why this happened to me and how did I get sick. With everything that's happening, who will not think about it? I monitored my own condition so that I know whether I need to undergo swab test or not and it's a good thing I didn’t have a fever or lost my sense of taste or smell. My condition only got to common colds but I did continue isolating. I also had cough for a couple of days but it stopped when I took Lanzoprazole, a medication for gastroesophageal reflux disease.
There was a time when I got really scared. In the middle of the night, I was awaken due to chest pain. I thought I was having a heart attack. I didn't know what to do because I don't want anybody to come near me. So, I chose not to tell my housemates and treated myself. I took my stand by medicine for chest pain and waited until it's gone.
With each passing day, I made myself calm because I know there is nothing good when you worry. You will be weaker when you are overly anxious. I constantly pray to God to give me strength and piece of mind. And He never fails.
I did my very best to get well. I continue doing the remedies. I kept myself hydrated, had enough rest and sleep, ate nutritious foods, washed my hands frequently, and when I feel better, I stretched and exercised even for a short period of time. These things became my routine.
I also found out that some of my families and friends also got sick. One of my brother, who works in a hospital, is tested positive and he's in an isolation facility. When I’m encouraging them to continue fighting for life, I’m also strengthen. I gave them advice on how to feel better. Then eventually, I'll be okay too. I realized that it's my nature to care for others. After all, I'm still a nurse, though I'm not practicing my profession anymore.
When you're on a quarantine, you can't go anywhere beyond the four corners of your room. Boredom can be overwhelming. But thanks to these creatures who appeared by my window to cheer me up and appreciate God’s creations.
Now, I feel great and totally fine. I will never recover without the help of the people I consider as my true friends and family. When trials come like this, you will know who really cares for you. Just a simple words like "get well soon" means a lot.
I hope and pray that all who are sick will be healed as well. Thank you for reading. 😃
