Life feels so unreal. When losing a loved one, not everyone is privileged enough to properly grieve, because life has to go on. There are bills to pay, there are responsibilities to attend to, and others expect them to move forward as soon as possible. Yet, it's a kind of grief that's probably never gonna heal. Tears may stop at some point, but memories show up again at a random time no one expects. It will suddenly be there when one sees a specific place, or eats specific food, or hears a song. Grief is love that tries to find its way because it has nowhere to go.
This might just make you smile. A letter/diary to God that I had last July 14, 2024. This one was one of the best parts of this letter: "Thank You, Papa God, because I know You've always been there for me through my highs and lows. You've seen me at the peak of pressure and burn out ever since the year started, and now You allowed me to relax a bit these days, and I am very grateful for that, more than any gold or riches. The peace, comfort, and courage to go on that You supplied me helped me through those days I thought I might just give it all up."
Lunch time here and yes we still try to grind even today, I don't feel like doing anything. (wala eh, di anak ng kontraktor kaya kailangang kumayod).

Okay, so I can't keep this one to myself. One diary to God entry I wrote last June 23, 2024. This is an excerpt I feel like you might relate to.
"You know very well that I am a home buddy. But there's this desire in me to actually explore beautiful places in the world. I want to be in Italy, too. Or Greece, and Japan, and France. I want to see these beautiful buildings/culture/people/cafes/bakeshops/clothes/souvenirs/experiences. I wanna experience paragliding, and being in a hot air balloon, or in a beautiful stay in a tourist hotel/airbnb/apartment for a few days with its amazing amenities. I want to experience riding an airplane. I want to try the yummy foods in Japan."

It's time for another letter-to God slash Diary sesh! I wrote these words one night of April 28th last 2024: "Sleep deprivation, lack of prayer, excessive day-dreaming—these are the 3 major reasons for my frequent nightmares and sleep paralysis, I think. It's getting scary for me to sleep with lights off na. :(("
Little commentary, I was able to overcome this era na. Of course, there are still times where I have nightmares, but not so much compared to before. My prayer life has improved a lot, and I thank God for letting me acknowledge my weaknesses and giving me strength to overcome. I am nothing without Jesus.

Looking back, there's this one short entry for my 2024 journal/diary to God throwback. It's written last March 20, 2024. And here's the the first few sentences I wrote to God: "I cried at work again today (work from home). Intermet is so frustrating. Everything at work is URGENT. I don't know what to prioritize anymore. I'm sorry if I snapped and might have done and said wrong things without realizing it."
