Moving to the countryside (my life)
The me of today is pretty unrecognisable from the me of ten years ago. Let’s be honest, she’s pretty different from the person I was just one year ago.
This new version of me is by no means perfect, but she knows what she wants in life and she knows what is important. She mostly ignores trends, she spends her money on items that are made to last, and she understands that experiences are more important than things. She values time spent with her favourite people (and dog) above anything else, and is maintaining a work/life balance that works for her at this moment in time. She doesn’t waste time on people who make her feel uncomfortable, and invests in the friendships that matter to her - the ones where physical distance doesn’t matter. She’s learnt to slow everything down, but understands that everything is a learning curve and that you don’t achieve your perfect life overnight.
If I could pinpoint one moment or one event that has changed my life the most drastically, I would say without hesitation our move out of the city to the countryside (being made redundant from my old job being a close second). In the past few years, since turning thirty, I’d already begun to realise which aspects of my life I should give priority to, but our move solidified this. I realised that I have friendships that stand up despite living in different places. I realised that I’m prepared to spend more money on public transport to live someplace that I love. I realised that being surrounded by nature is really important to me. I realised that I’d rather have a cosy night in or hang out in the local pub that go out dancing every weekend. I realised that I enjoy spending time by myself. I realised that there is more to this slow living thing than first meets the eye. And, honestly, I realised that I wish I’d made this move years sooner.
I love waking up to views of the hills, knowing that I can crawl out of bed and walk straight into the woods with my dog. And that I can dig up the vegetables in our garden for lunch. That I’m not the odd one out for choosing not to wear makeup, or to go and sit in the local cafe on my own all afternoon with my laptop, or that I can climb up the steep hill opposite my house and leap into the local reservoir on a hot summers day. Obviously, some of these things are perfectly possible living in a city, but for me they all became reality with our move.
I feel like both my writing and photography have improved since our move. I feel constantly inspired by my surroundings, whether I’m sat at the dining table looking out at gloomy winter views or sat working in the garden during a scorching summer. Ideas come to me more readily here, and when I want to shoot I can just head out of the front door without worrying about how to get someplace photogenic.
I’ve been thinking of taking myself on a solo writing retreat, but really there is no place I feel more inspired to write than sat in our dining room looking out at our view. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of that view. I’m still fighting my boyfriend not to ever get curtains as I love gazing out of the windows both day & night. Even a simple thing like reading a book seems different here. Snuggled up on the sofa, I still have those views in my peripheral vision, or on warm days I head outdoors, just to sit and read.
Part of it is probably just a state of mind; I imagined myself moving here and being happy and it all worked out. But there is definitely something different here, something that puts a little spring in your step. Maybe it’s the fresh air, or how you notice every little change in the seasons evolving through the year. Or perhaps it’s just the abundance of my favourite colour: green. Whatever it is, I haven’t looked back.

Hello everybody. I have recently just started a crypto youtube channel and I was thinking of showing it to you guys, maybe it will be somehow useful. I will post all types of crypto videos (crypto videos, trading videos) and every once a week. This is my channel and hope you guys will like it :

Mobox - a platform where finance and gaming come together
As I was saying a couple of articles back, I have recently got into the world of crypto gaming, since finding out about **Alienworlds,** but today I am gonna present you the second crypto game that i'm playing at the moment, called **MOBOX**.
**WHAT IS MOBOX?**
**MOBOX** is basically a **play to earn and free to play** game, that was launched on the 6th of April 2021. The official token of the game is the **MBOX** token, which currently has a price of **1,48$** on coinmarketcap. The MBOX token can be used for things such as :
Processing transactions through the **NFT gaming platform**.
**Staking** for platform bonuses and incentives.
Used for governance votes to **determine** how resources are allocated.
Besides being able to play the 2 currently available games the platform has to offer, you can also farm **MBOX**, with the help of the **NFT's** you can purchase from the game's **Marketplace** or find by opening **chests**. The MOBOX NFT's are called **MOMO** and can be :
**Minted** through the unlocking blind boxes using KEYs (BEP20 Token)
**Staked** in a Smart Contract to mint MBOX tokens.
Can be **traded** on the MOBOX NFT Marketplace.
Used across **all the games** on the MOBOX platform.
**Tiered** according to rarity.
The good thing about **MOMO**'s is that besides their **farming properties**, they can also be sold for quite a good price on the market, especially the **epic** ones such as this one:
If deciding on purchasing a **MOMO** from the Marketplace, the thing you should pay attention to is the farming rate, which can be seen on the top right corner. The **higher** the farming rate is, **the more** MBOX you will receive from farming. Also.. in case you are wondering .. **yes**, there are people paying that much amount of money for them and a **MOMO** like this one can go for even a much higher price.
The **farming** game is one of the two games available at this moment on the platform. The other game available is called **Trading Action** and it's based on.. **trading**. This game is basically more like a bundle of games, consisting of 3 different games, all based on trading. I will present each one of the games and explain to you what they are all about.
**#1. SIMPLE TRADE**
Each user will be given 1,000,000 virtual USD at the beggining of the competition (a competition lasts 3 days). Your goal is to buy and sell cryptocurrency and make the greatest profit. Users will be ranked acording to their profits and the first 10 will receive a certain amount of **MBOX**. This is a great way for begginers to learn a little bit of trading.
**#2. BULL VS BEAR**
This is a game based on guessing pretty much. You will be given **20** chances (**120 seconds per chance**) of guessing whether **Bitcoin** will go up or down on the market. You will have to choose between the **Bull** and the **Bear** and see how many points you will acumulate, based on your decision and on the evolution of the market. Users will be ranked according to their points and top 10 will receive a certain amount of **MBOX**. There will be a round of 20 chances every 24 hours.
**#3. LEVERAGE MANIA**
Users are given a certain amount of tokens and a 2 minute timer and they can either sell short or buy long with leverage. Once entered in a position, they can close it and start a new one as many times as they want until the timer is out. They have 3 attempts and will be ranked according to their profit and loss. There's a round per each 24h.
There is also a new game coming soon, called TOKEN MASTER, where you can put your MOMO's to rob your friends and collect as many tokens as possible. If you are at the top of the leaderboard, at the end of each season, you will be rewarded with MBOX.
TOKEN MASTER will also be a bundle of 4 different games :
**Token Producer**
MOMO’s will automatically produce tokens at a certain rate. The higher the MOMO’s hash power, the faster the tokens production rate.
**Token Twirl and Whirl**
Use your tokens and guess where the wheel will land. Gain 2X, 5X, 10X, or even 10000X of tokens in return.
**Loot with MOMOs**
Assemble a team of 3 MOMOs and send them to loot tokens from your friends. In each battle you will be rewarded a star for each MOMO defeated. The more stars you gain the more tokens you loot.
**Token Master Maestro**
The game will consist of 3 leaderboards including Total Tokens accumulated, Twirl and Whirl, and Stars leaderboard. At the end of each season the leaderboard will reset and MBOX tokens will be rewarded to users on the leaderboard.
I actually believe this game has a lot of potential and I advise you to purchase some MOMO's until they are still affordable because I have a feeling that his game will grow a lot and the NFT's will worth a lot more than they do now. I am thinking of investing a couple hundreds of dollars into some good MOMO's and let them do their farming, until the PVP arena will be launched.
This is my refferal link, in case any of you want to get started on MOBOX and help me as well : https://www.mobox.io?source=10259322
Hope this article helped some of you and I wish you all a fanstastic day.
Family is everything
Family is everything, even thought sometimes we might not see it. We usually tend to miss people more once they are gone or not that easy to reach and I can tell you that is 100% true, because I have been away from home for almost 4 years now and I miss my family more than ever.
This is why they say you should always appreciate what you have until it's still there and I totally agree. Your family is like your best friend, that takes care of you, supports you and is there for you at all times, through bad and good days. They love you unconditionally and only want to see you well and healthy.
What's sad is that we sometimes don't recognize these blessings until we no longer have them. Until you have to wake up alone one day, cook for yourself, do groceries by yourself, pat yourself on the back, which is a really upsetting picture to imagine. You will see then how often you will call home, maybe to ask your mother about a recipe, maybe to ask your dad how to fix something, maybe to hear your sibling laugh and being excited about what's been happening since you left. All of these things will break your heart and make you realize how much family means and how little attention you paid to it when you still had it around you.
Maybe it was a word you said or a door you slammed once but you regret it all now. You think about those times when you treated them so badly, a thought that makes you feel so much remorse, and you try to figure out a way to fix it all. But they forgot about it already. Family has a way of forgiving and forgetting bad things you did because their love for you is so unmeasurable, that no bad thing said or did by you can ever exceed the love they feel towards you.
Go hug your mom, take your sister or brother to get icecream together and spend more time with your dad, maybe even go fishing together. Listen to your grandpa's military stories and help your grandma make cookies. Love them from all of your heart and listen to what upsets them or makes them happy. Tell them everything you feel, bad or good. Help them as much as you can and make sure to come visit often. Don't forget about them because they are the only ones who will forever wait for you. To call them, come see them, think about them, ask them how their day was.
Your family is your guarding angel, just how you are theirs.
Time : 20 minutes.

My sad little story.
I always thought I was a little strange, ever since I was little. I remember my grandmother used to tell me I was a very distant child, that never needed anyone around, in order to have fun. Turning into a teenager didn't really change that because I remember getting my heart broken so many times that loneliness started to feel like a blessing to me.
To be honest, I didn't perceive being alone as a burden. I've always had this feeling of being misunderstood by people or not having things in common with them, so instead of making friends, who would end up judging the way I am, I decided to be solitary because that felt way better and, somehow, felt like putting a **shield** over my sensitive heart.
I don't really know if I was born like this or if certain situations that happened in my life made me this way but I can honestly say that spending most of your time with yourself is actually kind of **therapeutic.** I like to say that I enjoy my moments of solitude because those are the moments when I am my truest self. Because, sometimes, having people around you can actually influence who you are or your actions, which can lead to losing yourself.
I have personally lost myself a couple of times in life, by trying to be someone else, so I can fit in a certain group of people. That was until the ones that loved me brought me back to the right path, by constantly reminding me who I **used to be**, what I **used to love** and what **my beliefs are**.
Besides being a solitude person, I also used to be an overly emotional one. I still am, to a certain extent, but now i'm way better at managing my emotions and not allowing people to take advantage of them. I think this was also one of the reasons why I ended up on my own. Not everybody has **the same heart as you do** so in order to protect yourself from getting hurt, you sometimes need to learn how to step back and put a ****limit**** on your feelings.
****Being lonely and being alone are two different things.**** Being lonely is a feeling of sadness, of missing or a feeling of being incomplete while being alone does not necessarily mean you are also lonely. Being alone might actually improve your relationship with yourself and with others because, sometimes, people need their alone time in order to clean themselves of negative thoughts or emotions, so they don't project them on those that have caused no harm.
People oftenly confuse these two and think that if a person is alone is also lonely but that's not always the case. I think neither of these terms are negative, because I have seen people create wonderful pieces of art from both of them, like write songs that became hits or books that became bestsellers. It's actually all about figuring out how to make the most out of these feelings and see how you can take something positive out of them.
If you do recognise yourself in my article, don't feel bad. Every little thing in this life is temporary and you should just make the best out of everything. I have been through both **loneliness** and **solitude** and now I am happy with myself and content that I can still go back to those feelings, from time to time, which actually helps me with my writing.
Try and always see the best in everything, even it it's something that appears to be bad. Never **judge** anything or anyone because you might be surprised of what hides behind the surface. And if you ever see someone standing somewhere, by themselves, just leave them alone and don't feel sorry for them. They are most likely **happy.** :)
Being an overly emotional person.
I have dealt with being overly emotional pretty much my whole life. I used to care a lot about what people thought about me and always tried to make sure I please them, even though I was dying on the inside. Of course, I was neglecting my feelings and was always the one that ended up in pain.
Being an overly emotional person can cause you a lot of damage because there are a lot of people who do not care about your emotions at all and also, you cannot expect them to have the same heart as you do. Unfortunately, people like me don't always understand that and we end up classifying people as 'heartless', but once you grow up and go through certain situations.. being the one that always gives everything to others starts to make you feel tired.
I remember I used to cry so much about people who never thought about me, maybe not even once a day. I used to suffer for people that hurt me but manipulated me into thinking that I was the one who made the mistake, which was so wrong. In time, I've started to realize what was happening and found the courage to stop hurting myself for others. That's when things changed.
I was no longer being everybody's emotional wreck and became a little bit distant, which it was great. You can say it was more like a shield, protecting me from eventual heartbreaks. BUT.. if you are in the same situation as I used to be in and you want to become more cold, let's say, you have to be careful because it's a very thin line between becoming distant towards people and becoming numb to everything. Therefore, you have to pay attention to what you are feeling and make sure you do not slip on the other side because once you become emotionally numb, this might affect your every relationship, even the good ones you have, like family and friends.
In the end I would like to say that this is not a problem. Don't look at it as one and don't consider it something that pulls you down all the time. Being overly emotional means you are also very empathic, which can be great sometimes because I believe that people who are able to feel emotions so deeply can be really good human beings and they perceive this world much better than other. Do not try to shut down this trait at all, unless it's hurting you in some sort of way. Otherwise, this is something you should really be proud of and take good care of it because, believe me, people are drawn to it and not all of them are bad.
Love yourself, no matter what. Even if you're overly emotional. It makes your soul bloom.
PS : from an overly emotional person.
time : 10 minutes.
This was my first time doing it, hope it's good enough.

From writing as a passion to investing in BCH
I am currently owning **6 dollars worth of BCH**. It may not be a lot but I am so proud of that amount because I know I've spent my time trying to earn every single penny.
It all happened a week ago on reddit. I recently just got into these crypto games and i've been playing them for almost a month now, also checking reddit pretty much every day for updates. One day, as I would scroll through reddit's posts, somebody said something about a site that pays you for posting original writing content and it kind of caught my eye. I am usually a very skeptical person and have tried writing in the past on various blogging platforms such as wattpad, tumblr or wordpress but none of them really worked for me so the idea of writing online and getting paid for it kind of seemed like a scam to me at first but I decided to give it a try and that's how I got on read.cash.
After doing some research, I came to the conclusion that writing on this platform might be worth the try so that's what I did. I wrote a couple of articles and also read a lot of the articles others wrote to kind of understand what this community is about. I kept on thinking about what I should write about and I realized that my writing skills have become a little rusty, since the last time I wrote something was in highschool, so I decided to write an article about one of the crypto games that I was playing, since the majority of articles I was reading were about crypto. And that's what I did.
Time was passing by but nobody was noticing my work. I tried promoting it on social media, on reddit groups and show it to my family and friends. Still nothing. After seeing this, I started to question my ability as a writer, which made me sad and hopeless. I was about to quit. Then..a sign from above (or whatever happened) made me discover noise.cash the next day.
I wasn't really that excited about it because of how dissapointed I was about myself for being "such a bad writer" but in the end I decided to also give this one a chance, see what happens. Turns out it was different. I realized that people did not really care about your writing skills, they cared about facts and emotions. I realized I wasn't a bad writer. I was just a writer that tried to impress people, instead of saying relevant and helpful things, that might actually make people go "Oh, she knows what she's talking about, I needed her to solve this problem."
I've started focusing more on helping people than actually writing content that I believed they would like to read and it seems like they were enjoying that. I've started receiving small tips which gave me a great amount of happiness because it felt like I was proving myself that i'm not, in fact, a bad writer and that people find my words useful. I kept on doing that for a couple of days and I also gained about 8 followers, which was great. Then my fiancee asked me if I would consider starting a binance account. I was confused about what he meant with that. Then he explained to me that my money are not there to be static. They grow. And I really realized what was going on. I was owning a small amount of crypto. My first amount of crypto, earned through my work. I thought about it and made that binance account, where I still deposit every penny made from noise.cash.
Still.. my read.cash wasn't going that well. It was still static, still not getting recognition. I had no idea about what should I do with it.. until I realized that I can actually boost my articles with the BCH I was earning on noise.cash. I was so happy and pursued to do that immediately. I didn't have that much BCH to spend on boosting but hoped to get at least 4 or 5 views per article. Yeah..that didn't really happen. Again, dissapointment.
I decided to leave read.cash on the side for a little while and focus more on my noise.cash because that was the one that was bringing me a certain amount of income. Until today morning.. when something told me to check up on read.cash and I did. My articles were still at the same views but I got a 5$ tip from @MarcDeMesel at a comment I left on somebody else's article, which for me was huge. I was so happy that I didn't know how to react. I immediately went to my binance account and transfered all the BCH received and my account never looked so good. 6 dollars worth of BCH, my fresh start. I will not lie and say that I didn't appreciate the tip because, let's be honest, we all do. But what really made me happy is that it came from Marc and knowing he liked something I said kind of made me feel valid and again, helpful.
I will forever be grateful for that 5$ tip because that's what made me realize I have a goal. Hope you like my story. This is me, from writing as a passion to investing in BCH and holding it forever.

Envy is the mental cancer of the mind.
It is said that true confidence does not let any room for envy, therefore you should always feel sorry for those who are blinded by it, because they are not satisfied with their existence at all. Here are some facts about envy that will most likely help you avoid this toxic feeling :
Usually when someone is envious of you it means that they desire something you own, something they cannot obtain. Do not mistake envy with admiration. Even though they might seem similar at first glance, the foundation of these two are totally different: **envy** is based on negativity, while **admiring** is a delightful and inspiring feeling.
Envy tends to be directed towards people you compare yourself too, whom you feel in competition with so in case you ever get to feel that, just know that you are most likely perceiving them as superior.
There are also a couple of other toxic feelings that can be manifested because of envy, such as irony, narcissism and snobbery.
You envy what others have but you wouldn't be willing to work as much as them to get those things. You just want them because they have them and you don't.
This feeling could be a result of childhood trauma, such as differences made by parents between children, where one child is the younger one and requires more attention or special treatment and the other one who is the oldest and secretly desires what the younger one receives but is not able to express that feeling, because of the fear of being judged. This kind of situation often leads to long term problems of envy. Also children who come from poor families might occur this problem at both young and adult ages.
Envy could potentially twist your mind into thinking that you have to harm others in order to become superior to them so be careful about what you are feeding your mind and seek professional help if things go too far.
Social media is actually one of the main reasons why people have started to feel insecure and envious of others, since its known for being the place where everybody is posing happy, rich and accomplished.
Researchers have said that this feeling starts to lose its intensity once you reach the age of 30 and it's most present during teenage years, when your personality is still in development.
These are only a few of the many facts related to envy and what it can do to your life. You need to learn how to recognize this feeling, once its present, and also when to seek for help. And if you are trying to avoid it.. just learn how to love yourself. It might take a while but it's worth it. Coming from an ex envious person.
If you are not able to recognize your mistakes, you might as well accept the fact that you are the toxic one in the relationship.
Crypto - my path to a free life
I didn't grow up in a rich family and also my parents have raised me by the thought of "you have to work to earn your money". I am not saying that what they thought wasn't relevant but it all depends on what kind of work we are talking about. I wasn't going to let the system fool me by forcing me to phisically overwork myself so I can later spend all of my money on medication and taxes. That's a no from me. I knew I had to not let that mentality get to me and try to find ways of earning money without giving much of my time and health in return.
I have been tempted so many times to invest in crypto but something always held me back. I think what used to hold me back was fear of losing money I worked so hard for but i'm slowly starting to get rid of that fear. I'm turning 25 years old this year and I know something needs to be done in order to be able to enjoy a free life, instead of working until i'm 60.
So many things pop into my head when I think about investing that I don't know where to start first. I have recently discovered the world of NFT's and crypto games and now things are starting to have a meaning. My plan is kind of simple : earn crypto through gaming, sell items, take the money, reinvest and so on. Will it work? I don't know. Will I try my best to make it work? 100%.
I remember the first day when me and my fiancee found out about the crypto world. We first bumped into Etoro and I tried investing a little bit with my virtual wallet, just testing out the platform in order to get used to it. I didn't really take it seriously back then, maybe because I also didn't have any knowledge. But things changed after I started learning about the existence of people like Elon Musk, Mark Cuban, Tim Ferris, Jack Ma and so many other people who had such a big influence that it was scarry. I thought to myself.. "I want that too. I want to know what it takes to get there."
So i've started researching about those kind of people, reading books about financial education, getting more into the depths of NFT world, everything about the benefits of online, mainly learn about things that didn't require a huge amount of work, more like a passive income type of thing. Now.. of course I did not expect to receive without giving something in return but the lesser, the better and more free time.
I am currently joggling around with a couple of things, trying to turn them into passive incomes, also enjoying them because they are fun to do and doing my best to take advantage of the time that I have to explore more ways to achieve the life I dream of.
I will surely go back to the crypto market, with intentions of investing. And this time with my real wallet. Wish me luck.
Alienworlds - #1 crypto game at the moment (passive income)
Hi everybody. I don't know if many of you are familiar with crypto games but i've recently got into this crypto mining game called **Alienworlds.**
I think i've been playing it for a month now and i'm actually pleasantly surprised about the outcome of this game. The game was released pretty recently and there are still some features who are not out yet but will be available soon.
**What's this game about?**
This game is pretty much based on mining Trillium or TLM, which is the official token of the game, on different planets. Currently there are 6 different planets (planet Binance coming soon) with multiple lands on each and what you have to do is just pick a planet and a land and mine on it. One thing you have to be really careful of is the percentage of share that land owners set on their lands (there used to be a problem with this because some land owners used to lure people to their lands by offering them a 0% share and then switching it up to 25% while they were mining but that issue got fixed 2 days ago). Also, if you are extremely lucky or if you posses great tools, you might find NFT's along with the TLM you receive from mining, which can be used in the game or sold on the Atomic Hub market. It all depends on what your plans are with this game. The truth is that some of these NFT's can be sold for quite a good price on the market, which can also help you get better tools for your mining and increase the chance of finding more NFT's or mining more TLM.
These are some examples of NFT's that you can purchase from the market or find while mining. There are 3 things to look at before buying an NFT : the TLM percentage (top left), the proof of work rate (down left) and the NFT chance. (down right). The higher these numbers are, the better. To buy these NFT's you need to swap your TLM to wax because the Atomic Hub market only works in wax (you can do that by going to the Alcor exchange platform). Once you swap your TLM to wax, you are good to go. Besides NFT's, people also list some of their lands on the market and you can buy them but they are kind of pricey if you are a begginer who doesn't want to invest real money in this game. If you do want to invest real money, I believe that buying a land and setting a commision of 5% or maybe 8% could bring you a really great passive income, maybe around 100 TLM per day (only from commisions), so I think that's a great deal.
Another great deal would be to stake your inventory NFT's (the ones that you are not using) to the Rplanet. The Rplanet is a game where you can stake NFT's from other crypto games and you receive a certain amount of Aether hourly. The wax you receive from swaping your mined TLM from Alienworlds can also be swaped to Aether on the Alcor market. You can then go to the Rplanet shop and purchase elements (like those in the picture down below), combine four of them into the generator and see if you are lucky enough to discover a new and unique NFT or one that is already found.
BUT.. you have to be in the first 600 players to discover that NFT or else you will just get an FT or your elements will just be distroyed. If you have the luck of being the first person who discovers a new NFT (also named material) you will be rewarded with the Inventor's prize, which consists of **0.002% of the R-Planet prize fund** and a **pack of the invented material**. Also, your name will be written on every pack that contains that material.
I think both of these games have a great potential and could be really good sources of passive income, especially if you hop on the train early enough. I did that, what are you waiting for? :)
For curiousities, just ask. I'll answer to every question I can.

The 16 types of feelings and their psychological function
Human beings experience a multitude of feelings almost without realizing: **I feel happy, bored or confident** are some examples. The term ****feeling**** can be confused with ****emotion**** and, although related, are not exactly the same.
In this article, we will talk about what feelings are and how we can recognize them.
**The difference between emotions and feelings**
Some of you might have wondered what difference there is an emotion. Well, in order to understand this difference we can extract a fragment from **Antonio Damasio**'s error book "**Descartes's error**". The author is a researcher who has attached great importance to emotions and feelings in social behavior and even in reasoning.
For Damasio: **"When you experience an emotion, such as the emotion of fear, there is a stimulus that has the ability to trigger an automatic reaction. And this reaction, of course, begins in the brain, but then reflects itself in the body, either in the real body or in our internal simulation of the body. And then we have the opportunity to project that concrete reaction with various ideas that are related to those reactions and the object that provoked the reaction. When we see everything that is when we have a feeling. "**
So feelings are the way we relate to that emotional side of our mind, the narratives we establish about it and how we respond to these experiences.
Theoretically, then, feelings and emotions are distinguished between them by the different relationships that both have with their consciousness and with superior psychological processes: Feelings come from abstract ideas and consciously directed thinking, while emotions are not.
**An example of emotions and feelings**
In short, the emotion would be the first reaction we experience to a stimulus and it is related to the language system. And the feeling would be the result of an emotion and it has its origin in the neocortex, especially in the frontal lobe. The response to a feeling can be physical and/or mental and is mediated by neurotransmitters, such as dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin. Also, **feelings last longer than emotion, because their duration is proportional to the time we think about them.**
In our daily lives, feelings are all the time, for example: We are at work, our boss approaches and tells us to accompany him to the office. There, he tells us that the management does not like our work and sacked us. We are almost constantly afraid of that, which would be the emotion.
Right after that, we looked at the situation and asked ourselves a number of questions: **"Why me? What have we done wrong?"** and we begin to experience sadness and pity because we have to leave the job, anger, inferiority, uncertainty about the future etc. this second reaction, modified by our conscious thoughts, would be a feeling.
**The components of the emotion**
It must be said, however, that the debate between sentiment and emotion comes from a long distance and was a controversial issue, because these are terms that are often confused and used interchangeably. One of the first authors to talk about emotions and feelings was Richard S. Lazarus, who said these two concepts are linked. **The feeling would be part of the emotion, because it is its subjective, that is cognitive component.**
Emotions, originating in the language system of the brain, are complex States in which different components are involved:
**Physiological:** These are involuntary processes, first reaction: Increase muscle tone, respiration, hormonal changes occur ...
**Cognitive:** Information is processed, both consciously and unconsciously, influencing our subjective experience.
**Behavioral:** Body movements, tone of voice, face ...
Feeling is the subjective experience of emotion. That is, the feeling would be the combination of instinctive and short emotion, with the thought we reasonably obtain from that emotion.
There are many feelings that human beings experience. Here's a list of 16 very common feelings:
**Positive feelings**
These feelings lead to more positive behavior:
**Euphoria:** This feeling makes us feel high and our perception of life is magnificent.
**Admiration:** When we look at something or someone in a positive way.
**Affected:** It's a pleasant feel to connect with someone.
**Optimism:** We perceive life in a positive way and without fear of facing it.
**Gratitude:** We are grateful to someone.
**Satisfaction:** A feeling of well-being for something that happened.
**Love:** A complex feeling that expresses the best of ourselves.
**I like it:** Something gives us pleasure.
**Negative feelings**
These are feelings that we experience in an unpleasant way:
**Anger:** It is a feeling of dislike or bad humor toward someone or something
**Hate:** A strong sense of rejection of a person
**Sadness:** a negative state causing discomfort tending to cry
**Indignation:** To be angry with something that is considered unfair
**Impatience:** Sense of need now.
**Envy:** Feeling that occurs when you want something you don't have and that someone else has.
**Vengeance:** You want revenge, but you do not have to carry it out.
**Jealousy:** Feeling that occurs when you think you will lose someone you love.
**The importance of administering sentiments for emotional health**
One of the most important topics in psychology today is **emotional intelligence.** Although people often talk about emotions, they actually refer to feelings. The proper management of feelings, i.e., self-awareness or Regulation, for example, offers many benefits to people both in the common-based system for their mental well-being and in their performance, whether in the workplace, in education or in sports.
Love is a weird process.
"I have never liked people in particular. They did not interest me, they did not intrigue me, and I never really had a true need of their company. Though I knew I was doing very well on my own, going through life and being so distant, I was surrounded by people. Some of them I liked, many disliked me, with some I am still in touch, even now. It was difficult for me to miss someone because only a few were able to become that important for me to miss them. I do not know if it was their fault or mine for this, but I didn't even bother to find out.
I do not remember to ever fall in love. All my 'loved ones' were just physical passions, based only on my admirable eyes and lack of reciprocity. Or at least that's what I thought back then. I did not try to do anything about it, I was too sure that those people are somewhere up, at the top of the pyramid, and I somewhere down, completely unobservable.
I saw people loving. On the street, in cafes, in parks. I was laughing. I used to think there was nothing more soothing and fulfilling than enjoying your own company. I did not know any other way.
Until one day when a miracle happened. I found a man which I tied myself to. But something kept trying to separate us and in the end it actually did. It wasn't anybody's fault. It was just life getting in the way, I guess. Maybe timing. What is certain is that he used to have a way to speak to my soul that , before him, I never thought existed. It felt like with every word he would say to me, I would receive a caress. It seemed like he was born to talk only so I can hear his words. It seemed like this man's purpose on this earth was for him to make me realize that I was wrong. That there was someone out there for me too.
He left me. Just as I left any other man who came after him. I threw all the memories away and went back to my solitary life but somehow kept a small piece of hope of his returning, which slowly started dissapearing in time.
It's been years since then and now i'm afraid of people and what they might do to me. I know what I want and I know what I need from someone but I also know it will be difficult to find it, if even not impossible. I just keep on loving the wrong people, mainly to erase what used to felt right. Because what felt right wasn't meant to be mine. And those wrong people? They just become like me.
Empty. "
Update : He did come back and we are engaged.
A little something.
***I wish I could take you to Italy. I miss it. It’s been a long time since i’ve last seen it. But..even now.. if I close my eyes..I can still remember that night on the beach, just me, the sand, wind blowing through my hair and the stingy smell of salty waves.***
***I still remember the city, glowed by people’s happy faces and late street lights. The taste of gelato al limone and the smell of fresh bread that would hit your face as soon as you’d take a walk to the store in the morning. The weather must be really hot right now, I bet. I miss walking down the streets and grabbing lemons as I’d pass by someone’s yard. I miss that strong coffee they usually serve with a pastry. Usually a croissant.***
***I love how I can just go there and not feel like a tourist. I love how I just go there and it just feels like home. A place I barely know yet a place that gives me a sense of freedom that I’ve rarely found somewhere else. I wish you could feel all those things one day. And maybe you will. Maybe we’ll be together, in Italy, one day. Letting the sun burn our skin as we eat gelato, planning our future years together.***
***And then, my dear, you will see a different side of me.***
