#WeekendDiscovery To the time we spend an evening by the beach, we build our tent and have a good long night sleep. The next day I woke up excitedly but a spider freak me out! thankfully It's entire web didn't slap on my face. :) and I managed to composed myself got my phone with my macro lens then take a shots. Here's a closer look of that spider that you'll somehow wonder why it looks like it has a face. (second photo) I look into it's name using Google lens it says it belong to the family Araneidae and it's name is Argiope appensa which is an orb weaving spider. But what's more interesting is how this spider construct it's web— a thick white zig-zag decorated from the corner up to the center of it's web and it is called stabilimenta which the purpose is to prevent bird from destroying the web because it is made like a warning device. Amazing and very interesting right? Even a spider web has it's owned purpose as well, that I only thought they just build a web because it's a home or resting place for them. One more thing this spider usually have it's web between the bushes and in human contruction. Now I know the answer why from the tree branches it's web is connected to our tent. Any weekend story and discovery you wanna tell? I'm curious what it is. Happy weekend everyone! hope all is well. Catch up with you later gonna do my laundry first then have a good rest and relax a bit. #eirphotography
