My first day of MECQ/Stay at home. :) "Exploring around our place" Caught this little fly on my macro lens. To find out it's name have to use google lens. It's a Neriidae — family of true flies but then found names that it has a Cactus fly and Banana Stalk. For me it's more of a banana stalk because of it's color has a lot of yellow that seems like a banana. :) How about everyone during this pandemic. What's something new you discover? #eirphotography

Cute capture Jane. How many of us were photographing insects before pandemic? Not many, because we were too busy with ‘life’. Are you guys in lockdown again?
True only few not until it becomes a thing during pandemic then there's a lot of platforms existing that we are able to share our photographs. Yes! it was like we are back to square one when all have started.

I used a macro lens that I clip it on my phone. I bought it in an online shop
It's banana stalk fly because it usually found on a banana plant and it feeds on decaying banana plant debris. However, it can also found on other plants and also feeds on other decaying plant matters in the absence of bananas.
