"Something old, Something New" At the first photo , those centavos are from the oldest to the newest one. That .25¢ .10¢ .05¢ in the middle are the previous centavos & the one in silver is the current .25 & .05 centavos we used here in the Philippines. The oldest one "at the top" is a .05 centavo year 1979 and I am not sure of the exact date it was released by BSP/ Bangkok Sentral ng Pilipinas. The woman in that centavo is Melchora Aquino, a Filipina Revolutionary who became known as "Tandang Sora" because of her age during the Philippine Revolution. I love collecting centavos since not all want to received that as a change to their bills 😅 and as to some it's kind of bulky and no value. That's all my centavos at the second photo. PS. You might be wondering where I got that old centavo the 1979. It was from my mother collection of coins. She gave it to me before she puts all her coin collection in the piggy bank. #ThrowbackThursday #eirphotography
