Why do cicadas so noisy? Me: I don't really know :) Some people call this cricket but cricket for me is like a grasshopper but in black color. We call this "Gangis" in our area :) in our place. In tagalog we call it kuliglig. Photo taken earlier today near our chestnut tree. It's time of the day that it'll start getting noisy 17:56 Philippine Time. #eirphotography

You are right, these are no crickets to me either. I’ve never seen a cicada up close like this. Only once I sat under a tree they were in and heard their sound. That was a very unusual sound for me to hear, almost like electricity. Fascinating creatures
Yes! Monika I just got the chance to see it that close because of the bird who almost eat it. Thankfully the bird that picking up the cicadas accidentally drop it. Now it's free!
