1 Good Sign You Will Be OK (Even If You Don't Feel OK Right Now)...
Let me re-share a quick life-changing story with you, and give you something new to consider...
“Today, on my 47th birthday, I re-read the suicide note I wrote on my 27th birthday about two minutes before my girlfriend, Carol, showed up at my apartment and told me, ‘I’m pregnant.’ Her words were honestly the only reason I didn’t follow through with it. Suddenly I felt I had something to live for, and I started making positive changes. It’s been a journey, but Carol is now my wife and we’ve been happily married for 19 years. And my daughter, who is now a 21-year-old university student pursuing a degree in medicine, has two younger brothers. I re-read my suicide note every year on the morning of my birthday as a reminder to be graceful—I am grateful I got a second chance at life.”
This was a story narrated to me by my personal project supervisor named Kevin. Kevin's words continue to remind me that sometimes you have to die a little on the inside first in order to be reborn and rise again as a stronger, happier version of yourself.
Circumstances and people will occasionally break you down to the lowest of lows. But if you keep your mind focused on the positive, your heart open to love, and continue to put one foot in front of the other, you can recover the pieces, rebuild, and come back much stronger and happier than you ever would have been otherwise.
Marc and I have dealt with our fair share of adversity too—losing siblings and best friends to death, financial and business turmoil, etc.—and we’ve written a lot about it over the years. But today, let me remind you of the clearest sign that you will be OK, even if you don’t feel OK right now:
**Right now everything is changing again, nothing is certain, and you are free.**
Everything in life is temporary. Nothing lasts. Every moment gives us a new beginning and a new ending. We literally get a second chance every second.
Every time it rains, it stops raining. Everything that goes up comes down. After darkness there is always light—we are reminded of this every morning, but somehow we don’t see it.
SEE IT! Right now, let yourself see the truth.
You are a product of your past, but you don’t have to be a prisoner of it. You become a prisoner when you cling to what no longer exists. So remember that if you’re brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello. It may be hard, but you CAN let go, and to a certain degree you must...
**You have to let go and accept the feeling of not knowing exactly where you’re going next, and train yourself to love and appreciate this freedom. Because it is only when you are suspended in the air, with no destination in sight, that you force your wings to open fully so you can fly. And as you soar around you still may not know where you’re traveling to. But that’s not what’s important. What’s important is the opening of your wings. You may not know where you’re headed, but you know that so long as your wings are spread, the winds will carry you forward.**
And again, I know that's sometimes much easier said than done.
Making this kind of perspective shift—thinking better—takes guidance and practice.
Have a nice day lovelies.

1 secret of getting through difficult situations.
Hope you all are having a good day. I'm sorry I wasn't able to post an article yesterday, I really had a long day.
Getting to the topic for today, the human experience is filled with love, passion, creativity, joy, connection, compassion, laughter… and the taste of chocolate. But because we as human beings learn, evolve and grow through life’s ups and downs, our experience also includes plenty of difficult situations that round us out.
The key is to not let life’s difficult situations get the best of you.
Think about the most gut-wrenching situations you’ve endured in your life. Doing so likely brings up some very uncomfortable feelings. And the associated memories may stir anxiety, anger or sadness, and thus, may continue to quietly affect the quality of your life. This is a predicament many of us face.
Now imagine how you would feel if you were able to get over these feelings. By “get over” I mean no longer suffering over something that happened in the distant past. I know this is possible because Marc and I have both personally come to peace with extremely difficult, heartbreaking situations, and we’ve witnessed hundreds of our students and *"Think Better, Live Better"* seminar attendees do the same.
So what's the secret? There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer, but all of the possible answers start with...
**Releasing your judgments.**
The truth is, it’s impossible to get over a difficult situation—to let it go—if you’re still obsessively judging what happened. Let’s revisit one of those gut-wrenching situations from your past again—choose one that still stirs negative emotions. And then ask yourself:
Do you believe it should not have happened at all?
Do you believe the outcome should have been different?
Do you take what happened personally?
Do you blame someone else for what happened?
Do you blame yourself?
Do you believe the situation is impossible to get over?
If you caught yourself thinking “yes” to one or more of those questions, then what’s prolonging your suffering and preventing you from getting over it is judgment. Your judgments about what happened in the past continue to keep the situation present in your mind, and thus, it continues to impact your daily.
Now you may be thinking, “What happened was unbelievably horrible! I can’t conceive of ever getting over it!” But releasing your judgment does not mean you’re pleased with what happened, or that you support it, but rather that you are eliminating the negative burden you are carrying by perpetually judging it.
When you let go of your negative judgments, you automatically replace the victim mentality with acceptance and presence. And acceptance and presence together will free your mind and move you forward.

Seven things you surely need to start doing for yourself.
With the year almost ending, let me share a short story with you and give you something important to think about...
On a warm summer evening 19 years ago, I was all dressed up and sitting at a fancy restaurant waiting on my blind date to arrive. She never showed up. This made me feel ugly and unworthy. I thought my date may have seen me from a distance and bailed. Then, as I left the restaurant alone, I heard a little boy ask his mom if I was a prince. Overhearing this made me smile and made me think.
As wild as it may sound, that little boy’s words changed my life. Because from that day forward I changed the way I thought about myself. I started thinking about myself more respectfully and treating myself accordingly. And today, as we head towards the end of the year, I want to encourage you to do the same.
The period is a great time to make some shifts after all. So, here’s a positive TO-DO list for summer 2021—seven key things to start doing for yourself:
**1. Start embracing your humanness and giving yourself more credit.** – “Human” is the only real label we are born with, yet we forget so easily. To become attached to an opinionated label of depressed, divorced, diseased, rejected, or poor, is to be like the rain, that doesn’t know it is also the clouds… or the ice, that forgets it is water. For we are far more than the shape we’re currently in. And we, like the wind, water, and sky, will change forms many times in our lives, while forever remaining beautifully human.
**2. Start making your own happiness a priority.** – Your needs matter. If you don’t value yourself, look out for yourself, and stick up for yourself, you’re sabotaging yourself. Remember, it is absolutely possible to take care of your own needs while simultaneously caring for those around you. And once your needs are met, you will likely be far more capable of helping those you love who need you most.
**4. Start putting your heart and soul into the things you do.** – There’s a big difference between empty fatigue and gratifying exhaustion. Life is short. Invest daily in meaningful activities.
**5. Start taking more deep breaths, so you can mindfully collect more lessons for the long run.** – It’s incredibly easy to overestimate the significance of a single decision, outcome, or event in the heat of the moment. But you must remind yourself to take a deep breath when things don’t go your way. Your results in the long run—good or bad—are always the byproduct of many small decisions, outcomes, and events over time. The truth is we all fail sometimes. The greater truth is that no single failure ever defines us.
**6. Start entering new relationships for the right reasons.** – Enter new relationships with dependable, honest people who reflect the person you are and the person you want to be. Choose friends you are proud to know, people you admire, who show you love and respect—people who reciprocate your kindness and commitment. And pay attention to what people do, because a person’s actions are much more important than their words or how others represent them.
**7. Start forgiving yourself and others.** – We’ve all been hurt by our own decisions and by others. And while the pain of these experiences is normal, sometimes it lingers for too long. We relive the pain over and over and have a hard time letting go. Forgiveness is the remedy. It doesn’t mean you’re erasing the past, or forgetting what happened. It means you’re letting go of the resentment and pain, and instead choosing to learn from the incident and move on with your life.
**Next steps…**
Today is the beginning. Let there be no excuses, no explanations, and no regrets come 2022. You can make adjustments starting NOW that will help you feel better, think more clearly, and live a life free of needless headaches and heartache.
Truly, your thoughts greatly influence how you live your life.
Have a beautiful night lovely ones(it's night here). Have a beautiful day too
When life doesn't go as planned.
Hello everyone, hope you're having a good day.
Let me remind you of a priceless life lesson ...
Imagine having a ripe, juicy tangerine on the table in front of you. You eagerly pick it up, take a bite and begin to taste it. You already know what a ripe, juicy tangerine should taste like, and if it's a little bit tart than expected, you pull a face, feel a sense of disappointment and swallow it, feeling cheated out of the expected experience.
Or maybe the tangerine tastes normal, nothing special at all. So you swallow them without stopping to appreciate their taste as you move on to the next unworthy bite and the next.
In the first scenario, the tangerine let you down because it did not meet your expectations. In the second, it was too clear because it met your expectations to a T. Do you see the irony here?
It's either not good or not good enough. So many of us live our lives unhappy, we feel disappointed, disappointed and unexcited in almost everything. Because nothing really meets our expectations.
Now imagine you try it instead: remove your expectations of how you want the tangerine to taste. You don't know or expect it because you haven't even tried it. Instead, you are genuinely curious, impartial, and open to a variety of possible flavors. They try and really pay attention to it.
You will notice the juiciness, the texture of the pulp, the spicy, tart and sweet flavors swirling around on your tongue, and all the other complex sensations that arise in your consciousness while chewing. You didn't know what this tangerine would taste like, but now you realize that it is different from the others and remarkable in its own way. It's a whole new experience, a rewarding experience because you've never tried THIS tangerine.
Mindfulness professionals often refer to this as the beginner's mind, but in reality it's just the result of a mindset devoid of unnecessary, stifling expectations. The tangerine can, of course, be substituted for almost anything in your life: every event, every situation, every relationship, every person, every thought that comes to mind. If you approach one of these with expectations of how it should or must be to be good enough for you, they will almost always disappoint you in some way or be too plain and unexciting to even remember. And you will just move on to the next disappointment or unworthy life experience and the next and the next and so on and so on ...
Until you've spent most of your life in an endless cycle of experiences that you hardly like or even notice. But I have good news, there is a mentally stronger way of thinking and living ... Marc and I have a lot of experience worth of individual coaching with students and the annual Think Better, Live Better Live events that we host it's about helping people through the pain points that have been holding them back. And one of the most common pain points we've seen over the years is what I described above, expectations went wrong.
In fact, most of our biggest problems are a direct result of how we react to life on an average day. Yes, sometimes there are major tragedies to deal with, but most of the time the only real tragedy is our weak thinking and resulting behavior in the present moment. Exercising Your Mental Strength-Your inner resilience is key! This really is the hardest and most necessary thing to do when life does not go as planned. And you don't have to be born mentally strong either. You can develop this important trait with a little guidance and practice.
Love you all.

It's going to be a good ride, come on all.
It's an amazing day today and no doubt weekends are always great, no matter what season it comes with.
I woke up to this good feeling today after I discovered this platform where I could pour out my heart and get rewarded for it. With me, I promise it's going to be so much fun just as my bio has indicated. With me, it's good vibes, fun, or nothing at all.
Proper introduction.
My name is Mike keaton, a pharmacy student at the great Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The journey through pharmacy school has been a rough one right from level one but as the saying goes "it is not worth it, until it is worth it". I've decided that no matter what I'll give it what it takes to reach that sky I've been aiming for, whatever it takes. I'm a UFC lover, must I remind you I so much love cats too.
Here on this platform, I'll bring to you a lot of fun stories, we'll discuss mind boggling facts and so much more. And that's not all I'll make sure that my channel here breeds positivity, really much among the members of this great platform.
A little piece to make your day today.
You are probably familiar with what is known as the Serenity Prayer. It goes like this: God, grant me the serenity to accept things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can change, and the wisdom to tell the difference.
There is an important lesson in this that is very often glossed over ... When a chaotic reality swirls around us, we often try to alleviate our anxiety by exercising our will on external things that we cannot control. It helps us ward off one of the most dreaded feelings: total powerlessness.
With that in mind, I have good news and bad news, the bad news is that, in general, almost everything is out of your control. What others do, whether it will rain tomorrow, whether or not your efforts will be appreciated - all of these results depend on factors you don't have. That's the good news too.
The friction and frustration that comes from trying to change things that you can't change is the melting pot where a lot of unhappiness is born. Accepting that most things are beyond your control gives you explicit permission to let them unfold as you wish. The stoic philosopher Epictetus put it this way: some things are under our control and some are not.
Things in our control are opinion, pursuit, desire, aversion, and in a word, whatever our own actions are. Things that are out of our control are body, property, reputation, command and, in a word, everything that is not our actions. Overcoming the Three Big Us that so many of us struggle with on a daily basis Unhappiness, unconvinced things will ever change, unsure of what to do next starts with understanding what you can and cannot control. The mental shift here is not easy. Most of us have had a lifetime of worrying about things that we cannot control.
Society encourages this in practice. For most, it's an honest habit ... a habit that should be replaced with a healthy understanding of how much we can actually change. But again, it's hard to deal with all of this when you're constantly listening ... Why don't you just get over it? Just let it go. We have all heard of this advice before. And it passes the sniff test to a certain extent. I mean time heals all wounds, doesn't it? Well, yes ... kind of. However, wounds heal differently depending on how they're treated. At rest, a wound leaves a large scar in the skin and is prone to injury again probably in the nearest future.
Because of this, we get sutures that aid wound healing in a way that reduces the likelihood of re-injury. Emotional wounds work the same way. With enough time, most emotional pain will subside. These scars grow and accumulate until one day you wake up and suffer from one or more of the three us (misfortune, unconvinced things will ever change, unsure of what to do next). Don't get over it. Go through it.
In all honesty, I understand the desire to overcome difficult experiences instead of facing them. It's really, really hard to repeat painful memories and face our demons. And were hard-wired so as not to cause ourselves pain. However, as our parents taught us, ignoring a problem does not make it go away as well as physically.
Unresolved problems from the past settle in your head and influence your decisions, relationships, and attitudes. They rob you of your happiness. Doing the difficult now will be difficult, yes. But it's far better than the alternative. Of course, doing the hard but necessary things can feel impossible.
Final thoughts
My dear ones if you're going through a hard time just know you're not alone and it doesn't last for long.
