UPDATE on the situation around the fire beside my doorsteps, there is actually no new great fire places ! This night at midnight the director of the INFOCA team was right before to evacuate the next village in this case Casares because the fires where not big but changing directions very fast and aggressive so there was no chance to control them. Fortunately at little past 01:00 AM it starts raining what helps to get the fire under controll, that means without rain my situation would have changed dramaticaly because it´s just a short way down to my location, but we had all the luck we can ask for in this night from Tuesday to Wednesday. For the next two weeks the Helicopter crews will stay with 10 Helis here to keep the Sierra Bermeja cool and wet to avoid new upcoming wildfires, after loosing 10.000 acers of forest with a great biodiversity .
