The Efik Girl
The outfit below is a dream of thousands of females from Calabar in Cross River State and even some ladies from Akwaibom. Personally I'm from Akwaibom but I have roots in Ogoja, Cross River. My roots have nothing to do with the Efik culture but here I am envisioning putting on this outfit one day in my life. The dress is called an "Onyonyo" and the head wear which consists of what I call the "Anansa Combs" . Let's not forget that Anansa is the river goddess. This whole outfit is a vibe and I'm totally in love with it. What are your opinions on the drip?
Road Trip From Hell
This is going to be a storytime of a little experience I had. For starters, I'm sure I'm not the first one to embark on a trip that no one else except your friends know about because how would you possibly keep your mouth to tell your mum that you're leaving town to go visit the "LOYL". So a baby girl went on this lil trip and everything was perfect, weekend was over and it was time to come back. The journey back is where the horror story starts. Somewhere along the bridge connecting Rivers to Akwaibom, a tanker fell and that goes hand in hand with a fire outbreak or an explosion. None happened yet but there was panic (typical Nigerians) People of God, you wouldn't believe the other passengers started talking about survival tactics like "we should all jump over the bridge into the river" "let's start running, the fire might not reach us" "i'll rather drown than get burnt". WTH was wrong with these people, why are we in an AKTC bus talking about 600 ways to die. Well ladies and gents, I panicked and told God that if he saves me, I'll not travel anywhere again. Lmao😂😂 There was just no way I would die with them.
Bottom line, there was no fire, explosions, no one jumping over the bridge and all the panic was unnecessary because guess what, the tanker was empty. We found a spot to squeeze through and we were on our merry way. Had a scary road trip before?
Black Girl Magic
Everyone should be treated equally no matter their skin colour. Personally I don't care if you're white or light or brown or dark or black or orange, it doesn't matter to me and it shouldn't matter to you as well. We have to treat everyone with respect. But today, I'm glorifying the dark skin, all African women and women of colour worldwide.
Our complexion has been torn down more times than I can count and growing up we probably thought something was wrong with us or wished to be lighter or even went as far as bleaching. Getting older, you start to appreciate the things you have and love yourself as hard as you can. Now we've realized for ourselves that our skin is gold, we're the hottest things under the sun, we're so beautiful, are they threatened by us? Maybe but we don't care. All we care about is glowing, hydrating and our skin looking like a real life miracle. Black girl magic is not just for black skin girls, it's now a culture, a tradition and it's for all of us who have proven to be fierce and strong, we earned this and indeed light, brown, dark, black, we're all Black Girl Magic and I respect what we have. Shine on beautiful. You are real life Gold with a dash of Magic❤️

Fancy Restaurant
You've most likely seen this meme of someone saying that they just want to go to a fancy restaurant and order something they can't pronounce. That person was me a few months ago only difference is I could actually pronounce the name of the meal in question although I had no idea what to expect and boy!! Was I in for a shocker? I was. So it was just after the covid lockdown was getting eased down and I went out for lunch with friends to this fancy restaurant. Bottom line, we ordered for "Snorr Rice and shredded chicken sauce" amongst other things. That doesn't sound too exotic, yeah? But having zero idea of what to expect, we waited. This meal which was the most expensive thing on the table and would you believe that it was basic white rice and fermented mayonnaise with funny looking chunks of chicken and a full onion as big as my fist right there in the middle like a trophy. One spoonful later and we decided to stick to the things we're used to for the day. The experience is really hilarious now that I think about it. Had a similar experience? Let me know😊

Want To Start a YouTube Channel?
Everyone most likely knows what a YouTube Channel is. Now not everyone knows what's needed to start a YouTube Channel and I got ya'ol. Let me just say this, I'm no big content creator but to a certain extent I can say I know the basics soooo leggo.
First things first, you'll need something to film with. If you have a camera, good. If you don't, that's still very okay. All you actually need for starters is a smartphone. An iPhone preferably.
Next up, you would want to decide the type of content you'll like to upload. It must either be informative, entertaining or educative and no matter what, try as much as you can to make it interesting.
Let's quickly touch on Lighting and sound. The audio quality of the iPhone isn't terrible and can be used without an external mic as long as you're filming in a quiet place. But if you can afford getting an external microphone, by all means go for it. And for lighting, there's natural light but that limits you to filming only during the day. So you might want to invest in purchasing a ringlight or just make do with filming during the day.
And this is it for the basics. May the odds forever be in your favour😁
Do Not Fight Over A Man!
Firstly I just have to put this out there, I'm Nigerian and the #1 Twitter trend in my country is this certain not so A-list actor "TIMINI". I'll give you guys a quick background story. Apparently he cheated on his girlfriend "Lydia" with this girl "Toju" (the coitus didn't take place once or twice or thrice btw, lol) and his girlfriend has been on the whole "I'll fuck you up" "i'll jump you on site" and the whole shenanigans that comes with these sorta drama. Bottom line, the girl he cheated with dragged his girlfriend like a bag of rice a couple of hours ago on Twitter, also threatened to beat her blue black and it's been said that his girlfriend has been pointing at her whenever they happen to be in the place.
My point is that females should ON NO OCCASION set themselves up for drags, shades and embarrassment over a disrespectful man, scratch that, over any man except sweet baby Jesus. If your man cheats, let him go sweetheart, he's not worth it. If you want to still stick to a cheater then kindly do so in peace and swallow the pain.
And no, it's not okay to have anything to do with someone else's man. It's a wrap. Kisses😊
I look like a Shnack, yeah?😁
