Power Outage Ahead

ELECTRICITY

Electricity is an essential part of modern life and it helps us in many different ways. We use electricity for lighting, heating, cooling, and refrigeration, for medical purposes and for operating appliances, electronics, computers, and public transportation systems.

When people think of the power going out the first things that usually come to mind are TV, lights, computer and internet. 

According to Hugh Byrd, Professor of Architecture at the University of Lincoln, UK, "Electricity fuels our existence. It powers water purification, waste, food, transportation and communication systems. Modern social life is impossible to imagine without it, and whereas cities of the past relied on man-power, today we are almost completely reliant on a series of interlocking technical systems.

These past few days we were experiencing some short but continuous brown out, like there was brown out four to five times a day and a slow internet connection from all of the wifi vending machines around the neighborhood.

Those Thirty minutes brownouts already affect the whole community. What will happen if we will be having a long term power outage? 

INTERNET CONNECTION

With the internet one can see and talk to the person in the other corner of the world. Also we get access to many things which makes our life so much easier like, we can order food or grocery or shop or chat or send emails which was not possible without the internet.

According to Yau and Potenza, 2014; Suler, 2016; Anioke, 2017,Whether the Internet has a positive or negative impact on individuals has been a controversial issue since its emergence. The Internet has played an increasingly important role in people’s lives, and the border between the Internet and real life has become blurred; however, there is growing concern amongst some regarding problems it may have generated or promoted and the lack of clear guidelines for healthy Internet usage.

As inhabitants of the Earth, we have grown used to having the Internet, so much so that we’d feel lost without it. Communication, knowledge, and entertainment are all available with a single click on the phone.

People would be bored if the Internet were down and would not use their computers or smartphones. Students would be unable to study with the Internet down. Also, people would not do their jobs because most companies would be forced to shut down for the day. We would not be able to communicate with family and friends if we do not have the Internet.

Today there is some maintenance in all of the vending machines in our neighborhood, that is why I had to hurry to come up with a topic and publish it immediately because tomorrow and the next day there will be a power interruption throughout the whole municipality and the nearby municipalities also. 

It means my first of April started with a power outage. 

Early afternoon read.cash fam and friends💚💚, due to the above reason I cannot be with you today and tomorrow, Time is ticking and anytime soon our internet connection is going to lose and I don't know when it will be back.
