"Because It Only Happened Once"

It was one hot afternoon when our whole family planned to go to swimming, and all of us agreed in terms of conditions, we should bring our individual lunch and snacks, of course parents should take care of their children, every parents or guardian should contribute to the gas of the truck, and of course individual payment for the entrance fee, and individual rent of the life jackets. We all agreed that at least we know that the kids would be enjoying themselves. The next day we left early, because the car that will take us is still going somewhere and will also pick us up in the afternoon,thankfully the driver slash owner of the car spare a time just to drive us, 30 minutes later we finally arrive at our destination where Salurayan Mountain Spring resort is located.

Salurayan Mountain Spring Resort, is located at Barangay Sinuda, Municipality of Kitaotao, Province of Bukidnon. It was surrounded by mountains and trees, and it is one of the famous resort here in Barangay Sinuda, many tourist from the cities were visited on this place despite of  being in a remote area, because the place contained of a fresh air, cold weather specially in the morning when you can see and enjoy the sea of clouds and it brings all back the memories during the awaited sunset .But some part of it was renovated due to a flash flood, but visitors still enjoying the view and keep on coming back

***History of the Place;***  Salurayan Mxountain Spring Resort was once owned by our ancestors, it was once only a small lake but someone sold it to its new owner and developed it into a Mountain Spring Resort. The original name of the place was " MIGSALURAYAN" which means it came from and Saluray is a small cultural instrument. In short, this is where the Cultural guitar came, and it was the place when our ancestors used to play a Salurey.

Sophia and her cousin were so excited to see the Swimming pool, and the older ones jumped as they reached the side of the pool.  It was funny because when I reached the place, I ate first before I jumped off the water. My cousins teased me because I am just excited with food and not with water haha, of course I bring extra lunch because I know that playing in the water will make you starve. Because Sophia is afraid of the pool, all she did was to sit at the exit of the pool water, I tried to get her to the water but all she did was cry, she really wanted to swim but she can't go to a deep swimming pool.

I noticed that they have a pool for kids, but they drained out the water, so I decided to bring sophia. She was really happy because she was swimming at the pool with a small amount of water.

Sophia, my baby is now a big girl, because she really watches her younger cousin Ysam, and she was worried  because he's walking beside the pool and he might fall. She held his hand tight and asked for a picture. I really can't imagine how responsible she was, because even when I told them that I took pictures of them at the top of the rock they were still holding hands, and she even requested to take a picture beside the pool.

to the rocky road. She was really enjoying herself. When I was at the pool, I let my nephew take care of Sophia and take pictures of them. I didn't realize that they went again to the heart-shaped picture booth to take pictures together with her older cousin.  I really wish I had a good camera so that I can capture every moment nicely,but I really can't forget someone who told me that the best camera is the eye and save it to your memory because phones can be broken but your memories remain, well it doesn't matter as long as we are enjoying ourselves. We all had a break at the pool and decided to take ourselves a picture, and because am a shy type, I can barely pose when no one is watching and my cousin (Camera man) teases me to do a sexy pose haha I know I am not sexy but I really tried hard and haha well charge to experience because I will never do it again.

It's lunch time when we decided to have lunch obviously, I couldn't even take a picture once because we were so hungry and I had to feed my daughter and the other kids under my care. When I was done eating, my cousin requested a picture as she feels the nature and the  scenery but it really came out plain because of my camera, well at least she had one. haha

The whole day was a memorable moment for our whole family, specially for the kids, particularly for Sophia. It was a once in a lifetime history of her as she mistook a creek into a swimming pool, and now she really saw a real swimming pool. We ended our day, when Sophia called me while swimming and requested for a kiss, and said " Thank you mang", it was heartwarming and I did not know that she appreciated our small effort at a young age.

I just can't help but smile because when I see Sophia while sleeping, she's always murmuring that she wants to go back and swim in a pool. At the end when the truck was picking us up, we lost all our energy and fell asleep while traveling and  when we got home, we are still talking about all the good memories that happened in our whole family day. ***Realization :*** I never experienced anything like this when I was a kid, I didn't even know that there was a kind of swimming pool, because when we were a child we only swam at the river because it was only available in our times. Seeing your kids showing their gratitude even in a small effort will make your heart bigger, And I realized that if I can have more time, more money I will bring not only Sophia but the other kids who barely experienced to go to a nice places. ***Final thoughts:***  Being a kid comes once in a lifetime, and we parent's should make them enjoy the time and make it a memorable day for them, because memories remain until they grow up, at least we parents get older, we  cannot blame ourselves because we never let them enjoy their childhood. ***P.S :*** ***I really wanted to put every picture to the scene that I mentioned but the whole wifi vending machine of our barangay has no signal, that's why I cannot insert images.*** ***And I really wanted to share our experiences and had no patience for waiting for the strong wifi to come.*** Hoping for your kind and consideration @Dawn_Dii Date Published: January 13, 2022
