The Price of a Human Head

In the open market, no one would dear think of asking or wanting to buy a human head. The reason is that the human head is so delicate and important that one’s it is cut off, the entire body will experience death. The question we must ask is; **why then did the daughter of Herodias request for the head of John the Baptist?** For my Christian brothers and sisters who must have read or heard about the story of the beheading of John the Baptist, they would not find it very hard to comprehend but for others who are not from the Christian faith, I would want you to read the story by visiting the Bible book of **Mark 6:14-29.** After reading this story you would begin to wonder how and what it could cost to get a human head. We all know that the brain is the computer section of the body where actions and commands are formed and directed towards the various parts of the body. For instance, the legs cannot walk or function without the consent of the brain, what it means is that when a man’s head is cut off, his whole body will shut down just like will see in the internet world today. So many times we have placed a price on another person’s head just because we believe that we have the power to do so. We do these either because the person in question is our servant, slave or even our subordinate therefore we feel we can get their head on a stake and nothing will happen.   You might be wondering how you have been able to place a price on another person’s head. Before I go into talking about the ways by which we have placed a price on another person’s head, let us look at this; **if the human head was to be legally sold in the market, what do you think would be the price tag?** I understand that this article may not be very palatable for some persons to read let alone proffer answer to the question I have asked but I would want you to see this article as a means to educate people especially those who are in the habit of placing a price on a human head. To answer the question I have asked above, I would say that the price may go as high as $1million or even more. Now, can you imagine in a society where the human head is legally sold and the price tag is up to $1million, **do you think you will still have your head on your shoulders by now?** I know that some people would have either sacrificed their head out of pity to improve their family’s financial capability, while a huge number of others would have turned into human head hunters.   We would have had a society where no one would freely go out without wearing a heavy iron or chain which will serve as protection around the neck. Our world would have been a legalized hunting ground. Since the sale of the human head is not a legalized form of business, **why then do we have people who have placed a lot of price tags on other people’s head?** For us to have the answer to this question, we will look at ways by which we put price tags on other people’s head.   ****Ways by which we have placed price tags on peoples head****

These actions or statements usually come as innocent as possible but yet, there exists an under tune that spreads death as it goes. In that office you have found yourself, how have you been able to settle that rift that exists between you and your co-worker? There have been stories of employees who have ended up making their fellow employee lose either their position at the office or completely lose their job. It may interest you to know that whenever you talk ill about another person and whatever you have said lead that person into losing his/her job, you not only placed a price tag on the head of the person, you also beheaded the person.   In the family, you will see male siblings who grew up together to love themselves and as soon as they began to get involved in marriage, the level of love which they have been practising will reduce because of the evil-minded wives they married. This action will lead them into serious rancour which can lead to the rise of having a  price tag on each other's head. The truth is that once we give room for rancour, rift or problems existing between us we are bound to think towards seeking for one another's others head on a stake. **What price tag do you have on another person's head?** I love you.
