Uncharted Waters was the first in a series of games with that title released by KOEI. It is a sort of simulation/strategy/role-playing game themed around the Age of Discovery. In terms of gameplay and theme it has been compared to Sid Meier's Pirates! but it never achieved that popularity, at least in North America.
