However when I tried to do the same with a Seagate ST320423A ata66 it always showed extended partition errors on the Highpoint controller but not on the IDE0 or IDE1. I transferred the Seagate to an Abit BX-133 RAID mobo with the same results. Two identical Seagate hard disks would not work correctly in RAID0 either. There are zero errors if primary partition is used and no extended partitions. Yet to try two IBM hard disks on the RAID0 setup. Perhaps Highpoint controllers don't like some brands of hard disks. Intel ATA-100 does not produce the same errors. My findings.
