[okay, some folks do] I would suggest contacting: PC Enterprises DCS Industries Hard Drives International and, just in case, look into external hard drives that plug into the parallel port or, conversely, look into the combination 3 1/2"/5 1/4" High Density External Floppy drive that plugs into the parallel port. As far as modems go, an external battery powered modem (one of the tiny ones from Hayes and others) that plugs into the serial port is a good way to go, if you want 9600 bps. There are also accoustic couplers that go up to 9600 bps (and possibly 14.4). Global Computers has them. Unfortunately, I don't have the numbers handy for *any* of these places. However, if you are in the USA, dial 1-800-555-1212 and ask for the numbers for each of these places.
