I was impatient so while waiting for replies, went and asked at my local computer store. They referred me to a electronics store which stocked the parts that I needed (an S-Video signal convertor and a RCA plug to RCA plug lead). Hooked it up and eventually managed to work out how to do it. I'm very happy - running DVD's off my $75 DVD rom drive on my computer on to my TV in my bedroom. Cool because I have a mono TV and now get the stereo sound from my speakers. Thanks again.
