It looks like another hot day is here! Italy is experiencing days of sweltering hot weather and most of us are taking refuge from the heat under the tall trees. The tallest ones! Yes, I'm talking about the highest trees in Italy. They discovered that "Italy's tallest tree is located in the 📍Vallombrosa Forest (my beloved forest) and is a 62.45 mt. tall Douglas fir." For wine enthusiasts & iconic postcard views. Under the Tuscany sun there are soft rolling hills covered in rows of grape vines waiting for their time to mature. They are planted with Sangiovese grapes, the most widely planted grape in Tuscany. But I have already told you a lots about its reds, the famous Chianti wine. What's for lunch? 🍝 Maccheroni alla chitarra! This type of past, the thicker version of spaghetti, goes well with all kind of sauces, but my fave is tomato & basil sauce. But this is a #throwback from when we went to Abruzzo. For today, I'll make the classic maccheroni salad. 10 min later. Yesterday we had dinner with our neighbors, such funny & lovely persons and from their house the sunsets are always spectacular. What's for lunch? Nothing could be better than to enjoy a delicious fresh fish dish when you spend your weekend by the sea. This is definitely the right place to eat fish. Hubby had tasty spaghetti with clams Me, delicious fish soup with large croutons baked. I have a thing for seafood; tasty & satisfying that never won't leave you feeling heavy.
