Greetings from The Sassy Frass Inn! All guests are making the transformation, except one who is not quite ready. The heat yesterday was helpful, but today the temps are 30 degrees cooler. Management kept 4 guests in the safety of The Inn this morning, as the cold, rain and wind made for less than favorable conditions to be able to flutter about in our gardens. A tasty bouquet was catered in for their enjoyment. One guest was found in the garden a few days ago on a scrawny milkweed that had seen better days. This guest was brought inside and is in its little green sleeping bag. Management is hopeful that the guest did not have t-fly. Waystation 30220 Summit County Ohio

Update: I ended up euthanizing as I know that’s what’s best. I thanked it & told it I was sorry but I knew it’s what was best. This one eclosed about 2 hours ago. Still crinkled. It was a small chrysalis. I’m assuming it’s not healthy based on the crinkly wings. It keeps pumping it’s wings but this is as far as it’s gotten And it is continuing its efforts that one day it will get success, similarly we should continue our efforts. Do you know when we will get success?

Foraged Grape Juice - Drink the Season! A fun family project and a drink unlike anything you can buy... Harvest, clean and stem grapes. Heat slowly as to simmer in their own juice. Do not boil. I sort of rolled my eyes, because it had just started to rain, and I was like, ‘Musicians hanging out under a bridge in the rain?! How French!’ But Erik walked up to them and asked them in French he had learned if they knew how to play “Yellow Ledbetter.” Obviously they did, they started playing it, and then we danced to it for about a minute before Erik got down on one knee and proposed.” Think it sounds super cute? #orignal #photography
