This church was built twice! The Dresden Frauenkirche (Church of our lady) was built from 1726 to 1743. It collapsed in 1945 due to allied educational measures and has been a memorial against the war ever since. Reconstruction began in 1994 and was completed in 2005. Since then, it dominates the "skyline" of Dresden.
